After the slight over kill of water pump at the weekend I hooked the old girl up to this Worthing Simpson pump, safe to say she enjoyed this a lot more!

Hornsby oil engine rated 10.5hp sold on 26/6/1915 J.Dyer, Thorpe Marieux, Cockfield Via agents Wood & Co of Bury St Edmunds. Brought from a friend locally, part of its history is that when it was on the farm the sons of the farmer were milling wheat and they were so good at it they nearly put the local miller out of business until the father told them they couldn’t milk with it

Nice to see someone using an engine and putting it under load and letting it do some work. It is a shame you only seem to find people pumping water out of the tub and letting it run back in again which doesn’t really achieve anything. Brilliant video. Keep up the good work, cheers Derek

What a load of rubbish. He show the removal of the gib key. After removing flywheel and before making the vidio
As says we took it off for the purpose of it being an educational video not because we really needed to remove it, everything you need to know about removing the key in the video
Wow! What a beautiful machine.
Locking the drift with an adjustable spanner has been a lifesaver. I can now sort out the bearings on a cement mixer. Thanks!
