      Jason Matthews dude, wtf are you talking about? Every time any qb discussion is being made Drew Brees is top 5 not only now but arguably top 5 all time. I’ve never seen or heard him not get his respect. Btw, Brees doesn’t have one single highlight of himself dipping multiple defenders with clear shots at him like Romo has up near 15-20 plays like that in his career. Dude was incredible. But no, not better than Brees.

    Tony Romo is one of the best of all time to not win a Super Bowl. Hell he's honestly one of the best of all time period. The stats he put up and the things he accomplished playing for one of the most dysfunctional front offices ever is amazing. Had Bill Parcells stayed he would've probably won a Super Bowl or 2. Romo had to constantly overcome a shitty team and coaching staff. The only reason they even had a chance to make the playoffs the years they fell short was because of Romo. He never had any help until his body was beaten up and breaking down. The best chance he had was 2014 which was a MVP season for him and the refs screwed him on that. Dont let few highlights alter your history. Romo also threw interceptions galore. Say what you guys will about Dak Prescott, but a stat that isnt looked at often enought is game winning drives. Dak has 14 since he was a rookie to now. The only player who has almost as many is Tom Brady. Let that sink in. Dak is good enough right now but give him one or two more years with a good QB coach and he'll win championships. Romo just lacked that clutch gene. Dak has it.

    Another thing people forget is how lost those Cowboys teams were without him from 2007-2015. Romo: 61.5% win rate. Cows backups 25.5% win rate. This was the biggest drop off from starter to backup win rate in the NFL over this period of time. Some might want to say it's simply a function of Dallas having especially bad backups over this stretch, but it also indicates Romo was much better than most franchise QBs at doing more with less overall support.

Try and tell me he wasn't one of the best QBs in the NFL when his winning% was literally double what his replacements managed to do with the same talent around them.

      David McGrew i agree with that but i was actually overall impressed with Dak with how he played in the past season but overall his career he’s been average my favorite thing people do is bring up his record in his first few seasons and say he’s better than Romo lmao Dak actually has an elite defense

    • @bparker4522
      @bparker4522 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      EXACTLY! romo is farrrrrrr beyond dak. Now we have a talented team and no qb. its like the roles have reversed.

    One of the biggest/greatest "could-have-been" players ever. If people like Eli and Vick are likely hall of Fame candidates, then this man certainly is too. Anyone that says that he doesn't deserve to be a hall of famer is saying that purely for their biased hate against the cowboys. One of the best cowboys ever, no doubt.

    He would've EASILY had 1 Super Bowl win if we had some kind of defense throughout the years he played. He not only carried the offense in his career, but also the defense.

    Always hated him, but now realize he was actually completely underrated. Reminds me so much of Brett Favre looking back. They were both a little reckless but both very talented and fearless.
    My best friend died young a couple years ago and Romo was his favorite player. I wish he could have heard him do his awesome commentary now too.

    Damn....If Romo had 2023 O & D Line....Superbowl for sure! Man was phenomenal as a QB - especially given what he had to work with! Totally deserved a Super Bowl win for his efforts. And now - a phenomenal game caller on TV...seriously, no joke there. Love watching/listening to Romo's game calling. Man should be a head coach somewhere!
