5 inch lift? doubt it, need a subframe drop for that. 30mm (285 70 17) for tyres, 35-40mm for suspension. 3inch at best. Paj looks great. With locker they do well.
Yeah mate it was just an error in the video. I made a mistake and I brushed over it in editing, total lift is 3 inches with a 2 inch lift and 2 inch bigger tyres, rounds it off to around 3 inches more lift compared to normal. It does very well
Stoked I found your channel have subscribed as these build vids are awesome, we have a 2017 GLS Pajero which looks nearly identical to yours although we have 31” Wheels we have been doing our build over the last 6 months just loving our Pajero👍
Thanks for that. I’m glad that you enjoy it. I appreciate the support immensely. Is your build posted on any social platform? Would love to follow it. It’s great to see people modding up the Pajero as not many do these days and I love getting inspiration from others. Cheers -Ryan
Hi, enjoying the build. I've got a 2018 Paj and I'm considering changing the tyres over in the future (car's already lifted). I'm very interested to see how you've mounted your rear camera, number plate and light after removing the cover.
Thanks Steve. I’ve got a video coming in a few weeks after my Yalwal 4x4 series airs detailing how I did everything. It’ll be up in about 4 weeks but if you want a detailed rundown sooner send me a message on Instagram @ryantomkins.au
Thanks steve its been a long time coming this lift. Lots of research and planning to get it all lined up. Glad you like it and i agree the rock sliders are a must now. Cheers Ryan
Nice video mate!!! I enjoyed it. I'm into having rock slider. However, not ADR and airbag compatible not ready to risk my 2 kids. Instead, I'm happy to keep replacing the oem sidesteps 🤣
@@jonsantos8585 thanks mate. I didn’t think that rock sliders had anything to do with the airbags in the car. As far as I’m aware replacing the side step is a 3 bolt job. Interesting though I’ll have to look into it. Cheers - Ryan
I didn’t re gear mate but it absolutely needs it I’m my opinion. Don’t get me wrong it’s not a massive difference (you can use the car without re gearing it) although if it was re geared I would say that it would perform a lot better. If you have the money available then go for it but if you don’t then don’t stress because it’s still alright, just a little sluggish. Cheers Ryan
Thanks mate. The tyres are Goodyear Wrangler Duratech 285/70/R17 or 33” the rims are monsta I think they were a last minute swap because the Steel rims I ordered wouldn’t fit. Also unsure of the offset
Love your work mate! Literally spent 2 weeks researching the pajero tire debacle and you've cleared things up for me. Are you covered by insurance now that you have 33s?
Thanks mate glad I could help. I am unsure about the insurance side of things. Should probably clear that up. I’ll let you know what they say. Cheers -Ryan
Seems like its 5mm over the "legal" limit. That is, based on the Victorian laws of having 75mm overall lift (suspension 50mm + tire 25mm) Not sure if they look at 5mm though...such a small difference 😒
845 people own a pajero based on your subs. Haha. I've got an older NS but it's the same colour as yours. Already lifted but stock tyre size. Goes great.
Thanks for following along mate. Seems to be going well I serviced the gearbox the day after I got the tyres done. Has had no major issues and it still changes gears at the right time. It doesn’t stretch out gears.
How on earth does a 2 inch lift get you 5 inches of clearance and the tyres you’ve got say 265 which has a diameter of 31.6 so technically they’re not even 32’s.
Gained 2 and a half inches roughly from the suspension lift from where it was sitting before and another 2 inches from going from 31s to 33s so it’s about 4 and a half inches higher than where is was before using a tape measure in the same spot.
@@Add12this That's exactly right. You only get any increase in the radius of the tyre as a lift not the diameter. Some people don't seem to understand this. I've heard stories of people taking their 2" bigger tyres back to the dealer complaining that they only got 1" lift out of them!
Love it 😍
I'm glad you like it

Well done on the 400 subs mate
Thanks mate appreciate it

That is now one of the prettiest looking Pajero's Ive ever seen. Cheers Steve, PS it needs Black rock sliders now

Nice mate, always immaculate looking your pajero 👌👌👌
Thanks shad mate. Glad you like it but I assure you she has a few scratches up close 😂😂
Did you need to re-gear for the 33 tyres? In other words, did you have any trouble with automatic gearbox, engine, etc. Thank you.

Looks great! What specs are the wheels/tyres with offset?

Nice looking Paj mate! Tell me what offset do you have on those 17" wheels - what exactly is your tire (265/70/17)? Keep up the good work. Cheers
Thanks mate. Rim offset is unknown but the size is 285/70R17

Thanks for the kind words mate. Appreciate you taking the time to watch. Cheers Ryan
Would you mind sharing a bit on numbers for fuel economy?
Hey mate. Highway driving I get down to 10-11/100 but around town is a bit higher at 13-15/100 depending on how frequent the stopping and starting is
Hey mate love the videos, just wondering what the total height of the vehicle is after the lift.
Cheers
Thanks for watching mate. I haven’t measured the total height although it’s gained roughly +75mm (3Inches) compared to stock.
Cheers for the update man, the Paj looks so bloody good. How's your transmission handling the bigger tyres now?
Thanks for following along mate. Seems to be going well I serviced the gearbox the day after I got the tyres done. Has had no major issues and it still changes gears at the right time. It doesn’t stretch out gears.
Wow your lifted Pajero looks handsome😍
Thanks mate 🤠 there’s plenty of 4wd adventure videos on the channel. Consider subscribing if you want to see it in action 🍻
Would 33's still fit with out a bullbar
Hey josh, unsure about that one mate as I had the bar on there when I fitted.
What rims/wheels are those?
The rims are monsta I believe. Tyres are Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 285/70/R17
Nice job😉👍
Thanks mate 🤠🍻
Awesome

@@nextleveladventuresau thats not how tyre lift works mate... if the tyre is 2" bigger, youll get 1 inch of lift.
