Coming from a 99 NL, i was worried about moving to the 4th gen.
But this set up looks like you can run just like the old beasts!

I have an NL and an NX. Straight out the box the Gen 4 is not amazing. However here is proof that the correct mods work well. This Gen 4 goes anywhere my NL does

I love how solid axel guys freak when a wheel leaves the ground, as independent guys think, if I lift my wheel here, it should give me an advantage 😂😂

Hey what do you have as you rear light on the spare tyre?
It’s an led reverse light to replace the factory fog light
Where have you bought those fender flares extensions?
They can be purchased from eBay. They are just generic ones not Pajero specific

Not many petrol ones around. How do you find the l/100 and servicing etc?
Not my car. It’s my mates car. They’re very thirsty. But based on the cost of diesel and the higher cost of oil and filter for the 4m41 means they’re probably only marginally more expensive to run. Abs way more fun
Hi! Do you know whether the ring & pinion swap from gen 2 requires modifications? The reverse can be done either (gen 3/4 r&p on gen 2)? Thanks
This I can’t answer. But if the diff is the same size I imagine so.
Gen 2 pajero has 9.5” diff and gen 3/4 has 7”

They are universal stuff off eBay. Not Pajero specific.

@@extnixcaraudio headers are off shelf items. Cat back system with mufflers still but sports mufflers. Was done at Metthams Exhausts.

Specs are in the video mate. It’s a combination of suspension lift and subframe drop

It’s the equivalent of body lift on a monocoque chassis vehicle
Can the owner (engineer) make a lift like this and sell them? To the US market as well please. Best lift on a pajero I have ever seen!
Mr Pajero (Rudi Zabeo) does these kits but I’m not sure if he sells to US

It’s not my car. It belongs to a friend so I’m not sure. The fuel consumption of the petrol model is not great and with them tyres I imagine it would be terrible

Suspension is all off the shelf stuff. Subframe drop is custom made

@@jarrendickinson5279 yes these are all corrected using custom made parts. Sorry I don’t too much details as the owner is an engineer and builds all his own parts.
What about gear? 4.3?

@@Gnarly_Harley Stock 3.8 has 320Nm of torque. 3.2 did has 420Nm. That's enough to feel the difference.
@@yutuniopati when you actually do the sums, the overall torque outputs at wheels are quite similar when you look at the gearbox and diff ratios of petty vs diesel in the gen4. Diesel has very tall gearing compared to petrol. He seems to have got 2.8 diff gears and reduction gears so there would be torque for absolute days
No touchscreen reverse camera or GPS, no high gain antenna. Only one spare?
No serious off roader uses expensive alloys .I would have fitted a Smart Bar as they are lighter than steel and can take animal strikes forever and a day, unlike steel that bends and has to be replaced, Daniel Andrews was going to ban steel bull bars in Melbourne CBD, if you are hit with a Smart Bar it won't kill you, this is why you see ambulances with them. The Smart Bar also has the correct approach angle .
In some states that Pajero is an automatic defect due to the wheels protruding out from the wheel wells, WA has those laws too.
Lol at ‘serious off roader’ you are entitled to your opinion but don’t judge based on how someone chooses to setup their car. I’ve been wheeling with this bloke for the last 7 years and watched him tackle the hardest tracks WA has to offer.

Haha it's a Prado not a LandCruiser lmfao Ive a Pajero Sport you'll be surprise how it goes off-road 2 inch lift with 33.all this so called Toyota do alot barking that's what most of them are good at.On the other hand that Pajero gen is a weapon looks awesome
