    That turned out great Ed. At first it looked like it was going to be a real PITA, but you approached it in a systematic way and knocked it out of the park! On a side note, I appreciate your understated music choices. In my opinion, too many TH-cam videos have loud or distracting music that interfere with the content. Yours is just right. Thanks for posting these, I always learn something.

      Glad you enjoyed the video, and I really appreciate the feedback on the videos. Nice to know that my choices are working for the viewer. I try not to interfere with me talking, but it's important to have some sort of music to set the tone. It's a weird thing I've come to learn about these videos. I try to keep everything up beat. Thanks for all your support!

    Boy am I lucky that my Gbody didn't have that kind of damage to it when I had to do something similar. I did replace all my body bushings and added in the ones on the wheel arches. Lifting the body off the frame was an exciting experience.
    Also, I was just watching your transmission crossmember video yesterday, and just got back from the metal shop to build/modify my own. As a Canadian, parts are just too much from the USA. I have one already made from a fabricator but it didn't account for the dual exhaust, so I have to finish that. Thanks for the inspiration. I have an 84 regal 4dr with an L96/6l90. Almost done.

      Glad you enjoyed the videos and I agree about the challenge with parts from the states. I don't mind the exchange, I don't mind the shipping, but the brokerage charges are crazy. L96/6L90 will make a great cruiser with tons of grunt. Good luck with your project!

    Was this caused by salt on the roads or is it just a area which by design rots out.

    • @SlowCarFix
      @SlowCarFix  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think both. It's a sealed up area that is like a cavity that collects salt. These cars weren't really designed to last this long, and this car in particular probably saw the first 10 years of it's life as a regular every day car and saw salt every winter. Southern cars wouldn't be nearly this bad.

    Looks good Ed. Did you have to replace both rear body mounts as well?

    • @SlowCarFix
      @SlowCarFix  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just the passenger side rear mount. After the test drive it was still making the same noise. The driver side one looks like it's been repaired and has a new rubber mount. I did 3 out of 4 of them. I drove it to work and around Oshawa's fine roads, and it seems to be great!

    What about the other 8 mounts? There gonna look just like the 2 ya just did

      It's got a new floor pan with all new mounts and all the front were new when the clip was off. The only ones that weren't done were these back 4 because the body didn't come off the frame. I've done the back 4 now, so everything has been done.
