Actually, the Devil's Snare, giant chess, and flying keys were all from the first movie when Harry was going to get the Philosopher's Stone. And the first challenge actually was the three headed dog, Fluffy, and the Devil's Snare was the second challenge.
It’s riddles diary, which Ginny was secretly given by Lucius Malfoy, later on she tried to get rid of it in moaning Myrtles toilet but it doesn’t work. Later on Harry finds the diary, Tom Riddle show Harry his memory of Hagrid, so on and so forth, until eventually Harry stabs it with a Basilisk fang in the chamber of secrets.
I am WELL beyond retirement age, and have never done a Lego build, but I am awaiting this in the mail with great enthusiasm. Your walkthru and speed build gave me a great perspective of what was ahead. Thank you!
i hope they make an add on set that includes the rest of the castle as well as the quidditch pitch and the wooden covered bridge that i believe leads to hagrids hut
I just finished building this and it was the most fun build I have ever done. I have built a bunch of great sets but this set takes the cake for most fun to build. Mind you, the UCS Millennium Falcon is still my favorite overall set, but this was just so much fun to actually build. I’m absolutely in love with it
Jeremy Herbert i was like Hermione was petrified when they went down to the chamber when you said “ what Harry Ron and Hermione need pass through to get to the chamber of secrets”
Man I remember getting the first Hogwarts lego set for Christmas one year, my siblings and I already had a few of the smaller sets like Snape's Dungeon and the room where Harry fought Quirrel, some time after that I remember getting the chamber of secrets, one thing I remember fondly was that the box or the instructions showed that you could connect all the Hogwarts sets to really make the castle complete.
I love the fact in the build they have little references to the movies. The chess board from Philosopher's Stone. Chamber from the Chamber of Secrets. Dementors from Prison of Azkaban. Dragon from Goblet of Fire. Umbridges' office from Order of the Phoenix. Unfortunately I can't find anything for Half Blood Price or either parts of the Deathly Hallows but I had a good start 😂😂
The tiara is actually in the room of requirement if you look hard enough and I think the silver goblet in front is the goblet of fire. So technically since it is a horcrux that counts as the deathly hollows
That is so cool that they actually included the boat so very few figures sets and information actually even talk about the boats... It's like everybody just decided to forget about it because it only happens to the 1st years one time
Helga's hairpiece was indeed made for Leia in 2009 for her Endor outfit but was also used on some Hoth variants. I think they could've used a microfigure for Hagrid like those used in the boardgames

The first of the 3rd gryfindor students is Neville. He has his mouth in a way that shows off his teeth, which is one of the main characteristics of Nevilles figure.
15:52 that’s from the sorcerers stone, chamber of secrets had the tunnels and big Salazar statue. Also the black tile in it is either dead Ginny or Tom riddles diary
They definitely did an amazing job and amazing amount of work bring this together it's really awesome... and you built it and all of those stick stick stick stick stickers
