Benny's production value is insane
The small tower with the broom is filch's office. He is like the Hogwarts janitor so it makes sense to put a broom in there.
I'm pretty sure he always attempts to fly with the broom but he can't because he is a squib.

@@BrickBuiltBenny I understand that LAN has these kinda bad rep, it would help to manage the cost, we know how lego is super expensive. Plus have earlier access and exposure.
But the way you do your reviews is more objective and analytical, so I don't think it will be big issue in this regard.
It's just that quite a few LAN members are doing very low effort reviews. And no one puts as much production value like you do. So your acceptance should be a no brainier...

Can’t tell you how good the quality of your videos are, exceeding that of much bigger Lego channels, and I can totally see u passing them in TH-cam subscribers easily in time! Whenever I search a review and you’ve got a video for it, first one I watch every time! Keep it up!

the funny part about treating stickers as a con is that my mum is avidly against printed pieces in lego sets, presumably because of the building experience 😭 I've always been indifferent myself
2:37 The exterior is based off the castle from movies 4-6 since it has a courtyard out front, instead of the Reception Hall.

@@BrickBuiltBenny Easy misunderstanding, especially since the interior is Philosopher's Stone inspired (with the Troll and the child-sized minifigs) and the castle itself changes from movie to movie. I bet once all the modules are released the final Lego castle will be the one from movie 6, since that's the model on display at the Studio Tours.

10:50 Black broom is probably the Nimbus 1000 or The broom which was hit by a lightning and they didnt find the rider just the pieces of the broom.
The broom is a reference to filch’s office, located in that tower

I think the Black broom in the "secret entrance" is supposed to be Harry's Firebolt from Prisoner of Azkaban and beyond

And I'm probably wrong, but to me the broom is a reference to Fitch since in Hogwarts that little turret is the janitors closet/Fitches office.

10:48 I've always wondered what was inside that little "pepperpot" tower. None of the moves or video games ever show us. There is speculation that it is Filche's office, in which case maybe the broom is not for flying-- it's just for sweeping up!

I’ve always admired the Lego HP sets from a distance in stores, and I’ve never owned a Lego set myself. It wasn’t until a few months ago I started to become interested in Lego group content. Like you said, it seems like a really good time to start collecting! Brand new wave of Hogwarts castle and I think I’m in love with how streamlined, compact, yet large and detailed the designs have been 😍

The only thing I don't understand is why the main hall again? There was already a main hall in this series along with a secret room. Can they release other updated parts of the castle later?🤔

🌼Hi Benny, this review of the new great room is truly brilliant;
I find it to be a very beautiful set, based on the "Halloween" chapter of the first book, which is why I would have appreciated the Easter egg of some Halloween pumpkins among the candles or on the tables;
I love the architecture they have proposed and the external balcony, but personally I am not convinced by the lower internal part: I find it too empty and incomplete, I would have seen a series of random bricks or small fireplaces or gargoyles;
In general I had fun and entertained.♡
I couldn't help but subscribe to the channel after this nice review and after seeing the Padmé Amidala minifigure on the channel's home page, one of my favorite minifigures of all time.♡

I was very let down from this set, I wanted a large great hall, feel like it is smaller than the last set before it for the great hall, love the basement portion though and the hufflepuff common room.

With all the Harry Potter sets Lego is doing, you'd really wonder why there's still not enough printed parts
lego not being able to print parts instead of putting stickers in it with the wrong colors keeps me off buying a lot of th recent sets (including the latest nasa sets)

My issue is it’s still micro fig scale. Unrelated to that, it’s certainly not $200 worth of stuff to look at but Lego is banking on people needing it to combine with other sets to complete the massive DIY Hogwarts.
I disagree, in person it’s got a decent size to it! And as far as minifig scale goes… that’d be near impossible to do in this case. Hogwarts would be the size of an entire bedroom😂😭
@@BrickBuiltBenny the build looks substantial, the rock below helps with that. I don’t need minifig scale, just big enough for four benches in the hall so we can have a few fig from each house at them :)

It just undermines everything that’s come before imo. However what I mostly meant is that online I barely see a single positive word about the show, hence my surprise you didn’t know what I meant. (Even if you or I disagree)
Im exactly the same as you.. harry potter is replacing star wars for all the same reasons. The harry potter sets are so much better though just as terribly priced. Something different for me though, my house does have ucs hogwarts castle. We don't have any expansion castles and this third one is starting at just the right time. But UCS hogwarts is just slightly better. I was expecting enclosed buildings for "most detailed ever" i guess. Its a bigger and crappier version of ucs hogwarts?? Lets see how cheap they get before the end though :)

I personally feel it’s a little too late for this. They’ve done two modular castle multi-set builds already so it’s a tough ask to buy into another very expensive one.
There are plenty of people who didn’t buy any of the previous Hogwarts sets. (Like myself) That’s why this is such a good time to start: from scratch!
