Real quick bruh, great job on the oil change, ur doing more than most people do to maintain there cars. HOWEVER! It’s always best to change the drain crush washer every oil change. Also, you see that metal plug In The center of the oil filter housing? That’s a drain for the filter so you don’t make a mess when the housing comes off like what happened. The new oil filter should come with a plastic drain spout to stick in there after the metal plug comes out. Just use a 3/8 ratchet to take it off. Aaaaaand the new filter comes with a new o ring gasket that goes on top of that metal plug. Keep up the lords work my friend.
Thanks man, I will definitely try that out. I didn’t have a replacement crush washer so I had to reuse this one or else I’d change it. Thanks for the tips brother
Hi I was told a lot of Tec at the dealership don't remove the center drain on the filter even the [ The car care nut on TH-cam ] said it's better not to touch it can screw up the center spring in the filter over time he said he never touch it and never had a problem

Sometimes it can require a little bit of torque to remove as they can get pretty tight over time. Some dealership techs tend to tighten them a little too much as well. Try a longer ratchet to get a little more leverage, make sure you use the right oil filter adapter as you don’t want to strip/damage it trying to remove it

I won't remove center drain , thank you!
It can be done much cleaner. There is a plastic oil release that is hooked into the metal bottom of the whole housing

Great video, I was wondering if I bought the right oil filter for my first oil change. You cleared that up for me, thanks!
Thank you...
Thanks ! Gonna make this a lot easier, what did you say the size for that filter remover was?
Amazing job
Thank you Great Video, to the point, very concise A+++
Thanks
Where's the filter???? That lil yellow thing is the filter??????
Bro u messed me up on the oil filter man 💀 now I have to go to a dealership
How so?
besides not draining the pre-drain, he didn't do anything wrong. Even said just snug it up, don't torque it.
I can't even take off the oil filter housing. It's literally stuck on there and I been taking it to the dealer to get an oil change.
