    I’ve been vegetarian vegan for nearly 25 years… And I’m just now getting away from the processed stuff. Love your natural cooking. I’m going try that butter and the mayonnaise from the other day! What can I say! I got excited with impossible and beyond and earth balance all that stuff because we just didn’t have it when I went this way all those years ago! But it’s time to get natural.

      Hello friend! Agree with the beyond meat and the earth balance, heck we bought it ourselves when we first started but when you look at the ingredients it’s not great and why not try to make it ourselves with just a handful of ingredients! It’s delicious the kids gobble this up try it and please do let us know what you think!

      Me too. 10 years vegetarian 16 years vegan. Junk food vegan so trying to go whole with one processed vegan protein with ultimately going whole:) I don't buy any vbutter now, however, I used to use the Becel Vegan.

    Yes, I'm definitely trying this bread & butter snack. There is nothing like warm homemade bread & butter. My mom made bread my whole life. We never had bread bought at the store. I'm so happy to have a healthy butter recipe now, THANK YOU!!!. God bless you from grandma Katie in Oregon

    Hi Rosa...love the butter recipe. I have the best luck with no-knead bread baked in cast iron dutch oven. I failed miserably with sourdough (5 attempts). Love your spelt breads. Have a great day!

      Hello Mary!! Ooh that sounds so good the no knead in a Dutch oven so cool you bake like that, it’s basically the same technique as sourdough!

    So many memories of when all our kids (10) were at home and Bread baking. with fresh ground white wheat. We always made 4 loaves at a time and usually twice a week. That first one ( and sometimes two) loaves out of the oven NEVER had time to cool. Kids absolutely inhaled it with butter and honey. I do want to try this butter recipe out- that could be a true game changer for me.
    I do have one question. I am just curious why spelt over wheat? While I am aware of spelt, I have never used it.

    • @thehaipath
      @thehaipath  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hello! That's so cool you have a large family, we love meeting new large families and totally understand how you would need more bread than us!
      Spelt is still wheat, we like using spelt over hard white or red wheat because it's an original ancient grain, it has not been altered like the regular wheat has and it's more alkaline for the body. I have written a blog post here: haipath.com/spelt-vs-regular-flour-whats-the-difference/
      explaining why we choose spelt instead. It acts just like regular wheat so it is a really good alternative.

    • @thehaipath
      @thehaipath  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Hello there! Walnuts perhaps and maybe try sunflower instead of using almonds, almonds are a bit harder than these other nuts. We’ve never tried these other nuts and don’t know how it will taste but in theory it should work. We love sunflower seeds and the texture in a blended consistency. Let us know what you think!

    Have you done the Vegan Butter with just soaked Cashews? In most all our recipes we just soak them in boiling water for 10 minutes and the Vitamix pulverises them!

    • @thehaipath
      @thehaipath  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi there Elizabeth! We do the combination of cashews and oils because what I remember butter is fatty and oily. Without the extra oils it doesn't provide that fattiness, we're essentially smearing a thicker "frosting" if we were to butter our bread with just cashews. We do make cashew frosting for cakes but for butter we like the recipe this way with the added oils!

    • @elizabethg9171
      @elizabethg9171 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@thehaipath I just meant soaking in hot water instead of taking the time to boil them. I did try it by just soaking, not boiling and is NOT gritty! So you may not need to take the time to boil if you have a water kettle!

      @thehaipath  2 หลายเดือนก่อน
