Indian food is my favorite! This dish looks amazing! (I also love tofu and naan, lol). When my kids were little, I used to make homemade naan and grill it in the summer, brushing on the garlic butter right after it came off of the grill. The kids loved it! Do you guys grill? Grilled veggies were also always a staple in the summer when we had gardens full of zucchini, tomatoes, peppers, etc. Oh, and that grilled corn on the cob that I mentioned before, with the Chinese 5 spice seasoning! Do you ever freeze your containers of tofu for a "chewier" texture? I would freeze it (in the container that it comes in), then thaw it in the fridge, then drain it between 2 plates with books (or canned food, lol) on top. I would make my kids "tofu nuggets" by cutting that into rectangles, breading them, and baking them. I was thinking that your butter chicken sauce might be good over your "meatier" mushrooms that you are growing! Thank you for another amazing video, I loved it!
Hello Jenny! If Indian food is your favorite this one you’ve gotta try, yes the sauce would be great on the mushrooms too! We didn’t have a harvest this time so I never got to use it in this curry but you’re right it would taste amazing! We have grilled but we don’t do it often and I think we don’t grill much is because I don’t know how to grill or start it and would have to have Trey my husband do it but don’t want to bother him haha! I have frozen a tofu block before and showed the difference on a meal prep video, really really loved the texture and I want to do it more often but I always forget to defrost it before using 😅😅 Grilled vegetables sound lovely during summer!!
@@thehaipath Yes, I definitely have to try this Indian dish! I am so intimidated by it sometimes, and I think that many people are. We have an International market (do you have Lee Lee's International Market in your area?), so I am stocked up on ready to eat Indian food, but I used to make my own Palak Paneer (I am vegetarian, you could substitute those "chewier" tofu squares for that, I would make the paneer from whole milk and lemons), Aloo Gobi, Naan, etc. OH! You should learn how to use your grill! Especially if you have some good harvests this year (or even store bought veggies, lol). One of my kids' favorite thing that I grilled, was pizza! I made homemade dough, sauce, and again, I added cheese with their toppings, but I was also vegan for years, so you can also make a really cheesy sauce with Nutritional yeast flakes, which I know that Isaiah loves. ;) and top with each person's favorite toppings. (I have 5 kids like you, and also 2 "step" (but we don't do "step" in this family--so we have 7) kids, but all of them are grown now, which is why I say that I "used to." :)
😂Sometimes my patience is thin 🫠🫠 but it’s part of our life! We love the kids very much and want to teach them all the things. How are you? So glad to see you back!
You make incredible plant based recipes from scratch for a mom that’s busy! I see alot of plant based TH-camrs only wanting to do lazy hacks…it’s like come on we’ve seen the hack done 20 different ways lmao!!! Trophy for you!👏🏆
Love the naan. I've made hottoek that is Korean and sooo yummy...not cooked in all that oil though! Not a fan of Indian food...though it looked great. Love Greek and Mexican. Your kiddos did a fab job making the naan.
@@thehaipath Some of the spices don't agree with me...garam masala, fresh coriander, some ginger. Its odd because I love cumin especialy on carrots, tumeric in lots of things, and powdered coriander is lovely. Strange. Fresh herbs are so nice. Growing chives, oregano, pizza thyme, basil and sage this summer and will dry. Are you growing herbs in your garden?
We do have some oregano and thyme, cilantro looks like it bolted, we also got a lemongrass plant! We had a nice herb garden the past few years back we actually still have that garden tour video up! But it’s been rough the last few years haha we want to get back into it though!
Oh wow! This looks really good. This would be perfect with previously frozen tofu. I’m so glad you used tofu. I actually thought you were going to use mushrooms, and they are super expensive here. Good job! Yummm❤
Hi Mary! Yes! I think it would’ve been even better with that frozen tofu I just never remember to defrost it to use 😅😅 We didn’t have a harvest in time for this dish so I used what I had, the kids were beginning for more so it must’ve been very tasty!
@@thehaipath they came out pretty good, we used our own tweaked version. Started by making a Tangzhong. Then bloomed the yeast (1 cup warm water + 2 1/4 tsp yeast + 2 tbsp sugar) Added the yeast and Tangzhong to 5cups of bread/all purpose flour, 3 tsp salt, 4 tbsp honey, 1 egg & 1 yolk, 1/4 cup butter and mixed all in food processor. Next time I think we will add pineapple juice to make it like Hawaiian rolls.
Rosa, why are you doing this to me? 🤣 I'm starving, I’m working a 12 hour shift tonight and the sad part is that there is nothing I can eat in this hospital 🤦♀️😂😂 thank you for sharing food looks delicious 🤤
@virginialupino4171 lmao I’m so sorry friend! It was too good not to share this 🤣 the hospital has crackers and sandwiches no? It’s not the same as this butter “chicken” though 😆

We appreciate you thank you so much! Yes I agree I’ve seen plenty and we always want to do something different as much as we can!
"Mi wa sum" remember what that means? The meal looks so scrumptiously delicious.😊❤👍
Hahaha yes sir!
Here is the Indian inspired dish and bread you were talking about!
Yes ma'am! This is it! This is just TOO GOOD not to share!
@@thehaipath Isn’t it strange that even though I don’t want to eat butter or chicken, the words butter chicken together really got my attention!
Haha! It’s really really good! That sauce makes everything so good, eat it with rice or bread or by itself 🤤
Hi Hai Path fam. Love this method of making the bread fry instead of baking. You know why, the curry looks good as all you meals
😊❤👍🇯🇲
Hello John! Yes that bread is too good so so soft and yummy!!
Thank you for sharing this with us.
We hope you try it out and let us know what you think!
Cooking with kids be just like this 😂😊❤ It all looks so good!
Hahaha yes! Every day! Grateful for the help though 😁
I cannot wait to try this! Thank you all so much. I loved the video.
Yes please try it and let us know what you think! It's great for any get together or meal preps too!
Yes! That is one of my favorite meals. I also love making Spinach Paneer! My youngest son Li could eat those two everyday with Naan!
Yum! Try this recipe and let us know what you think!
@@thehaipath I put our tofu in the freezer to give it a better texture and we will probably try on Friday and I’ll let you know.

My daughter is 8 and she loves punching the dough too. We actually made dinner rolls for the first time the other day.
Awesome! How did they turn out? Did you make it using your own recipe?
