World War I (28 July 1914 - 11 November 1918), often abbreviated as WWI, was one of the deadliest global conflicts in history. The main belligerents included much of Europe and their colonial empires, the Russian Empire, the United States, the Ottoman Empire and the Japanese Empire, with fighting occurring throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Pacific, and parts of Asia. An estimated 9 million soldiers were killed in combat, plus another 23 million wounded, while 5 million civilians died as a result of military action, hunger, and disease.[2] Millions more died in genocides within the Ottoman Empire and in the 1918 influenza pandemic, which was exacerbated by the movement of combatants during the war.[3][4] Prior to 1914, the European great powers were divided between the Triple Entente (comprising France, Russia, and Britain) and the Triple Alliance (containing Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy). Tensions in the Balkans came to a head on 28 June 1914, following the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary by Gavrilo Princip, a Bosnian Serb. Austria-Hungary blamed Serbia, which led to the July Crisis, an unsuccessful attempt to avoid conflict through diplomacy. On 28 July 1914, Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia, while Russia came to the latter's defence. By 4 August, Germany, France, and Britain (along with their respective colonies) were also drawn into the war. In November 1914, the Ottoman Empire, Germany, and Austria-Hungary formed the Central Powers, and on 26 April 1915, Italy joined Britain, France, Russia, and Serbia as the Allies of World War I. The German strategy in 1914 was to concentrate its forces on defeating France in six weeks, before moving them to the Eastern Front and doing the same to Russia.[5] However, this was defeated at the Marne in September 1914, and the year ended with the two sides facing each other along the Western Front, a continuous series of trenches stretching from the English Channel to Switzerland. The frontlines in the West changed little until 1917, while the Eastern Front was far more fluid, with both Austria-Hungary and Russia gaining and losing large swathes of territory. Other significant theatres included the Middle East, Italy, Asia Pacific, and the Balkans, which drew Bulgaria, Romania, and Greece into the war. Both Russia and Austria-Hungary suffered enormous casualties in the East throughout 1915, while Allied offensives in Gallipoli and the Western Front ended in failure. In 1916, German attacks at Verdun, and a Franco-British offensive on the Somme, led to heavy losses for limited strategic gains, while the Russian Brusilov offensive ground to a halt after early success. By 1917, Russia was on the verge of revolution, the French Nivelle offensive ended in failure, and British, French and German forces experienced heavy losses in Ypres, leaving all belligerents short of manpower and under severe economic stress. Shortages caused by the Allied naval blockade led Germany to initiate unrestricted submarine warfare, bringing the previously-neutral United States into the war on 6 April 1917. In Russia, the Bolsheviks seized power in the 1917 October Revolution and exited the war with the March 1918 Treaty of Brest-Litovsk, freeing up large numbers of German troops. Germany used these additional resources to launch the March 1918 offensive, but was halted by stubborn Allied defence, heavy casualties, and supply shortages. When the Allies began the Hundred Days Offensive in August, the Imperial German Army continued to fight hard but could only slow the advance, not stop it.[6] Towards the end of 1918, the Central Powers began to collapse; Bulgaria signed an armistice on 29 September, followed by the Ottomans on 31 October, then Austria-Hungary on 3 November. Isolated, facing the German Revolution at home and a military on the verge of mutiny, Kaiser Wilhelm II abdicated on 9 November, and the new German government signed the Armistice of 11 November 1918, bringing the conflict to a close. The Paris Peace Conference of 1919-1920 imposed various settlements on the defeated powers, with the best-known of these being the Treaty of Versailles. The dissolution of the Russian Empire in 1917, the German Empire in 1918, the Austria-Hungarian Empire in 1920, and the Ottoman Empire in 1922, led to numerous uprisings and the creation of independent states, including Poland, Czechoslovakia, and Yugoslavia. For reasons that are still debated, failure to manage the instability that resulted from this upheaval during the interwar period ended with the outbreak of World War II in September 1939.
This is so legendary and you made it look wayyyyyy too easy like…. You said “holy crap that was hard” at the end and that didn’t even sound believable 😂😂😂
I got to say you're inspiring man.!! I've never seen one of your videos, so the algorithm is strong. Watched the whole thing. Got another subscriber to. You inspired me to push it even harder. I'm partially paralyzed in one leg from a badly ruptured disc. Got a push through the dysfunction and the pain. Just had a small setback this week. Thanks for helping me suck it up. 👍🏻
I currently have only ever done a few hundred pull-ups in one day (within an hour's workout), but now I'm thinking I need to shoot for 1000 and just plan on taking half the day to get it done. Amazing accomplishment, thanks for the motivation.
So I’m in bed (1am in France), looking at my 1,5y old son thinking about how long a path I must walk to become a savage so he can one day beat your record. Congratulations this was one of the most impressive things I have ever seen. STAY HARD
I saw this last night and then did my first hundred pull-ups. It’s hard work, man! How did you deal with injury/recovery when you pulled a muscle over those three years?
Taco bell, which causes Diarrhea and in the 1800's Diarrhea could kill you because it dehydrates. Over 30% of deaths were caused by taco bell in the 1800's. A study done by vice news in 1798 conculded that a tourniquet didn't help.
A high level of fitness so they can stay below the anaerobic threshold. They could probably keep this up for hours more. I would imagine joint aches and blisters would be the toughest hurdles for these guys.
If your dad would have been the type of dad who comforted you when you fell on your bike as a child, it's highly unlikely that you be able to swallow the pain and keep on hammering like you did in order to accomplish this. I've heard him say he wasn't the best dad and sort of imply that he may have been too hard on you but by the type of man you are today I think God, him and you mom did about as good as anyone can hope at raising a competent and capable well adjusted son. Congrats, my brother! 🫡
I'm 34 about to be 35 in a couple weeks. I'm in decent shape all together, I've been working in construction for many years. I began going back to the gym just over 3 weeks ago and really focusing on getting strong. Its humbling after not being active in the gym for a while, especially when you can't hit one set of 10 pull ups but this video is great motivation and I'm going to keep pushing.
Mate that’s insane! Shows ur strength physically and mentally. Curious and don’t need to answer, did u have to let your legs lose their mass to get this or did u keep them well rounded?
first off, amazing work! killing it. As a Marine, I must say your form is actually pretty narrow, meaning your grip. This causes you to use more forearms than back muscles. Not sure if this was a factor for you or your aware, but using more back allows for bigger muscle group to be used and less forearm/bicep even. Also, I do 5 P/U EMOM to 100 a lot and it aint easy! insert strong arm emoji!

Very impressed with the quality of the reps. I feel like most world records look like half reps. Only comment is that Goggins didn’t use some grip thing to protect his hands like in this video I think. Other than that, I’m kinda surprised how easy this looked.
The grips are not just for hand protection, they are a mechanical aid. I hang for time for shoulder health and can go about twice as long when using supports. Many will use grips to increase their pullup numbers, like some use resistance bands. People using straps have higher deadlift records, they are 2 different records.

I'm going to stand to your challenge since my past is sad and dark but your father has my dad's heart so keep at it being that young Buck
your pullups were waaaay cleaner than the ones goggins did. we need to talk about that i think.
STAY HARD
Hope you succeed 💪
"Hey bro how many sets do you have left?" "400."
Props for lifting head above the bar not just the chin.
Awesome brother!
I saw this last night and then did my first hundred pull-ups. It’s hard work, man! How did you deal with injury/recovery when you pulled a muscle over those three years?
A cool down run helps rid of the lactic acid that builds up in your muscles. It’s part of the recovery
Do some stretches after and it really cuts down on injuries during the next workout.
Damn dude!!! That pace at the end! Well done!
The latest challenge: 8,008 and was achieved by Jaxon Italiano (Australia) in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, on 12 November 2022. Go for it 😁👍
Beautiful!!❤❤❤
Love Goggins!!
"my hands are shak.." Cool story, let's do 5 more. That's a mentor for life right there
Bro you are way too wholesome to be this hard, gotta have a dark side
“Gotta have a dark side” what a fucking goofball
Taco bell, which causes Diarrhea and in the 1800's Diarrhea could kill you because it dehydrates. Over 30% of deaths were caused by taco bell in the 1800's.
A study done by vice news in 1798 conculded that
a tourniquet didn't help.
still one of my all time favorite youtube videos, inspired me to go for 700 pull ups in 1 day. Working towards the 1000 day now.
Man this gives me hope to do few push ups without feeling like my heart’s going to fail lol
He seems like a really nice, humble lad too. Well done
Absolutely insane, I can do about 70 pull ups in this format, I can't understand how 4100 is possible and yet you did it so big respect
A high level of fitness so they can stay below the anaerobic threshold. They could probably keep this up for hours more. I would imagine joint aches and blisters would be the toughest hurdles for these guys.
@@KarmaKahn I imagine plenty of scaring in the tendons let’s pray for him when he’s older
The most underrated video in the history of youtube
Fun to make! Appreciate it
@@truetthanes no problem man ur a big inspiration!
@@spk_xtreme7974 I thought the same when I first seen it too, look at now
Hell yea Truett,
I heard about this on Rogan and read Goggins books. To watch you do it is another level. Congratulations.
Dude you are literally goated, you realize that right?!? Keep putting in the work bro
Mate that’s insane! Shows ur strength physically and mentally. Curious and don’t need to answer, did u have to let your legs lose their mass to get this or did u keep them well rounded?
To think now he has managed to do almost double this. Its just incredible improvement.
This looks unbearably difficult when you think about it, but on the surface it looks so easy, just do a pull up every 20 seconds
Imagine this guy showing up to the youtube guy that has people doing pullups in the parking lot for money.
first off, amazing work! killing it. As a Marine, I must say your form is actually pretty narrow, meaning your grip. This causes you to use more forearms than back muscles. Not sure if this was a factor for you or your aware, but using more back allows for bigger muscle group to be used and less forearm/bicep even. Also, I do 5 P/U EMOM to 100 a lot and it aint easy! insert strong arm emoji!
forearms???😂
@@magsvro6668 yep, using an overhand grip causes you to use the top muscles that flexes the forearm, think of a hammer curl but on the bar
@@magsvro6668 yes, brachioradialis
This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my TH-cam channel 6 months ago about self development. Now I have 429 subs and > 100 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I couldn’t have learned without getting started in the 1st place.
Very impressed with the quality of the reps. I feel like most world records look like half reps.
Only comment is that Goggins didn’t use some grip thing to protect his hands like in this video I think.
Other than that, I’m kinda surprised how easy this looked.
Good point
The grips are not just for hand protection, they are a mechanical aid. I hang for time for shoulder health and can go about twice as long when using supports. Many will use grips to increase their pullup numbers, like some use resistance bands. People using straps have higher deadlift records, they are 2 different records.
Been watching for awhile, seen this multiple times and you no longer are known as the son of a legend but you are a legend of your own making! Freakin badass man proud of you 🤙🏼👍🏼
Out of curiosity, I tried doing what you did. Managed 7 or 8 sets and already wasn't able to complete 5th rep of the set. Normally I can do 1 set of 14 reps with full ROM.
He trained for years
I’m half way through., respect.
I tried 5 pull ups/ min and could only do it for 8 minutes, abosutely incredible work.
now do it for 9 CMON BUDDY
40 is good. Do only that until it's easy then go up from there.
@@Fake_jew thanks fake jew, will do
@@jplefaivre Yeah no need to injure yourself for no reason. Also warm good up before you start so you won't mess up your joints. And take cool down breaks for your joint's.
Just until they aren't stiff. You do you though at the end of the day. Just saying just being consistent everyday with the same amount of exercise gets you ripped not breaking yourself.
Dude, serious respect. Great work man.
The fact he cut it so close to Goggins time just shows that he could probably push even further in that time frame than the initial 4050 he did. What a legend
Congratulations! What an elite class to be in.
Well done mate, I can see this turning into an epic battle between you both lol you know Goggins will be trying to get his title back
