If you look closely at every Star Wars movie and series, R2D2 is hands down the MVP. He has more saves and clutch moves than anyone. And he ain’t afraid to talk a little smack either!
He notably also fights like the Astromech Equivalent of a Mandalorian. He fights practically, is no-nonsense, and isn't afraid to sucker punch his opponent to get shit done.
Reminds me of when Ahsoka said *this* line about Anakin in Star Wars: Rebels: "...but what surprised everyone was just how kind he was. He would care for his friends 'til the end."

Obi-wan and even sort of Ahsoka might’ve disapproved of Anakin being so attached to R2, but honestly, he’s probably one of the most important characters, if not THE most important character, in this series. Considering what he does during the original trilogy.

That was from Empire Strikes Back and R2 technically didn't "fight" Yoda. Yoda caught Luke and R2 off guard when they arrived on Dagobah, because Yoda was going through Luke's supplies. That's it. That's all that happened.

Funny thing is, whenever people "Humanize" Artoo, they always seem to make him look child-like or a Teen who hasn't seen battle. However, this episode shows that from the memories Artoo carries in his data banks, he's the Protocol Droid equivalent of a Seasoned Mandalorian Warrior. He goes for the most No-Nonsense approach possible (Zapping S3 in the 'eye' rather than aiming for the torso section), he can take a hit, and as shown at 0:33, he plays dirty by pulling what is basically the Protocol Droid Equivalent of a Sucker punch! So In my opinion, a Humanized Artoo should only look like a kid in The Phamtom Menace, since he's fresh off the Assembly line and had enjoyed a Cushy job up until they had to run the Blockade. By Attack of the Clones all the way to Revenge of the Sith, Artoo should look scarred and battlehardened... I can imagine a Humanoid Artoo actually toying with a Repair Tool like it's a Vibrodagger... And a Look that screams "I know how to use this to take you apart, and no amount of pleas for mercy will save you"... ...Which S3 found out, much to his Regret.

R3 represents that just because it looks cute and innocent doesn’t mean it is. Which is why I had no problem destroying the empire Astro mechs in Star Wars Jedi fallen order and Jedi survivor.
I honestly wish Sphero had made more astromech droids. I would have LOVED to see a Sphero version of R3-S6. Heck, I would love to see him as a buildable option at Galaxy’s edge along with chopper, R4-P17, R7-A7, and many other astromechs!
i remember in a special airing for several episodes, there was a text box for extra info for certain scenes, characters, dialogue ect. the one here just said "DROID FIGHT"

They then started attacking each other with their various slicing tools. R2 then sprayed the floor with oil and smashed R3 onto the edge of the catwalk. R3 used his tow cable to hang onto R2 and avoid the fall. R2 used his rockets to set the oil alight. This made the cable R3 was hanging onto weak, so R2 began cutting it with his cutting tool despite R3-S6's begging not to cut it. The cable snapped, and R3 fell off of the edge screaming, and then collided with some falling debris that smashed one of his arms and head off.
