Apologies for the audio, unfortunately had a few issues and spent so much time trying to correct it. Please bare with it though be Graham has so many significant bikes and cycling tales to tell. Thank you so much for your support it really appreciated. Andy
I was too busy looking at all the bike to notice any problem with the audio, lol. Seriously, I'm glad you decided to release the video despite not being satisfied with the audio. It must be a nightmare setting up equipment on location.
Graham's collection is impressive, I really liked the report and seeing him so full of energy. By the way, I sent him the last bicycle in the Contini video from Spain, good job Graham.👏👍
I could have watched you go through every bike in his collection no matter how long the video would have been. Some amazing kit there. That Contini was something else, absolutely beautiful. Great video pal.
Thanks glad you enjoyed watching them, I’ll definitely be returning. Yes the Contini caught my eye and I was unaware of the history of the brand. Great having Graham on board. Thanks for your support it’s much appreciated
Wow Andy say a big thanks to Graham this is what collecting used bikes is all about, these bikes will tell a story in many years to come. I ride my Basso Gap as often as possible at 67 (in a couple of weeks) You have made the bridge between then and now Thanks Noel
What a fantastic collection, I could listen to hours of stories about bikes and the industry etc. I well remember Graham's adverts in the back of the comic when i got into cycling. 😁
Zap System was the first electric gearshift by mavic in 1993, Mektronic is 5-6 years later. Also the Browning smartshift system was for the front derailleur in 1991.. Great collection! Unbelievable! Thanks for showing!

I used to visit Graham's shop and warehouse every month, as I worked for another bicycle shop which used to get Campagnolo stuff from him. His wholesale warehouse was called Velosave if I remember correctly. It was always exciting to go and see all the latest equipment that he would have in stock and the rows and rows of boxed items. I remember buying some Ishiwata frame tubing from him back in 1986 and having it built into a frame by a local frame builder. Happy days 😊

What a wonderful collection, everyone beautiful. Graham a lovely unassuming man who is cycling royalty. Great video, well done gents really enjoyed it. Cheers Mitch 👌
Great video Andy. And there is room for parts 2 and 3 etc. Funny you at last being picked up by Graham for the “Col a Nago” pronunciation. What a wonderful collection that Graham has and he is certainly a man who could tell stories with all his experiences all night long and you would never be bored. Pity about the sound issues but it was more than acceptable. And yet Graham needs calling out for his pronunciation of Gios. It’s not as stated sounding like “ Gee os “ but it’s sounds instead like “Joss” as per the actor Joss Ackland. I do like the handlebar stitching that was on the Gios Torino that he had done. Superb looking but as he states maybe less than comfortable. I would love to see more of the Gios Torino bike’s that were displayed in a future video if possible. Please keep more of these videos coming.

.... Hello there Andy Thank you for sharing your visit and experience..... I'm sure you' know you're a privileged man indeed Best regards always.....Rudy
Love hearing guys a bit older than me talking about how nice these old bikes ride. Im lucky to have about 4 running road bikes. Only one modern carbon bike, a 13 year old Pinarello. But my favorite is an 80's FUJI with the first indexed downtube levers. It's all original, or updated period correct. Even got 23mm Panaracers on it. I get it. Great episode, dude!
I've a good friend with a Condor he got from a yard sale. It was so beautifully outfitted, I wanted it so bad. Tried trading with him, offered good money, nothing. He doesn't really know what he has, and it sits outside, he towed around his twin boys in the kiddie trailer with it, and has covered it with stickers. Now I have an early 90's FUJI, nicely restored, and a good size for him. Your video reminded me of this old gem Condor being neglected, so I'm gonna maybe try another trade. Wish me luck. Such a sickness this road bike habit. Haha.

I'm still a racer at heart event at 72 and if you want to win [even us old guys are still competitive ] you have to have the latest technology . It also helps me to sell them !!
@@BikeItUK I thought so. Better that you uploaded it with terrible audio than not at all. Must have been very painful when you realised the what the audio was like.
@@spectro742 so much time spent, we went from filming early morning outside with no one about, to filming on a very busy road outside the shop with people beeping at us on purpose, and then in doors in the shop. Every day is a leaning day and audio is a full time job in its self. Thanks buddy
A lot of people have a stash of classic bikes and don't really care that the industry is gone to hell. What about the next generation and riders now that want access to classic bikes in a modern style. Looking at people's collections is not going to bring them back. We all collectively need to lobby the bike industry and your channel could be the start.
Maybe thats an idea, I do know many of the young cyclist around here in the UK know what a good classic is, but yes as you say they now do not have access to them. Food for thought thanks buddy
I love looking at your videos and looking at these beautiful bikes but when you are speaking to these gentlemen who were or are still involved in the bike industry you really need to ask these men the hard questions. We will reach a point were all these bikes will be gone. The bike industry needs to be made accountable for what they have done to our beautiful classic bikes, turning them into mountain bikes that are unrecognisable. We can tribble all we want looking at this classic steel porn but you need to make a show dedicated to why the bike industry have destroyed the industry and that we the public cannot get access to classic bikes in the modern world anymore and why the industry will not build them?
I know what you are saying and Graham and myself touch on it at the end of the video. About the importance of saving these steel bicycles. Regards to why we went down the rabbit hole of carbon, it was simply weight and stiffness for the racing I would say. Bikes are sold if they are winning races, funny its nothing about the legs pushing on the pedals. Money is the other factor, steel bikes last a life time, and like so so many things these days they are not made to last. It is frustrating. Thanks for watching and your continued support it is much appreciated
I think its very hypocritical of Graham who collects these beautiful classic bikes to spoil the hole show by wheeling out that monstrosity of a thing with DI2 and disc brakes. A sicking way to end a great show. We have now reached a point of total communism in the bike market. Everyone thinks the same and rides the same ulgy carbon bike. Beauty comes from having choices, and thats why classic steel bikes looked so good. Variety is the spice of life. On a side note The Italian brand Tomassini most requested brand at their factory is the "Classic Tecno" steel bike.
I'm in the bike business , If I was riding a classic bike how could I recommend a Carbon Di2 bike with disc brakes , well its easy I ride one and btw up to 2 years ago was still winning races on one
@@grahamweigh1701 We dont need Di2 and disc brakes. I can stop my bike on a 6 pence with caliper brakes and i don't need to electronically shift anything. Its people like you who have destroyed the industry. Greedy twits pushing the next new trick and making yr bank balance fat. You don't want a bicycle to be a thing of beauty and simplicity because your greedy and have no concept of beauty and mechanical engineering and craftsmanship.
@@grahamweigh1701 Once the joy of cycling is gone, and its all about over complex gadgets that have no purpose except to complicate simple repairs and make bike shops rich charging riders huge labour costs and replacement parts. I can purchase a pair of caliper brakes for 80 euros. A pair of disc brakes which would over heat, and never stop rubbing and squeaking would cost me 4 times that much. I wont make people like you rich buying into your trash. The greatest champions in the world rode steel and caliper brakes and would eat you up and spit you out on a bike, Di2, disc brakes and all.
There are definitely people who have a much bigger and better collection than this in the UK. Just because you haven't found them doesn't mean they are not so. It's a bit cringeworthy to be honest.

To be fare I two have a couple of carbon Canyons, I’ve had them a few years now. Still not gone down the Di2 route yet though. Thanks for watching all the best
I'm still a racer at heart event at 72 and if you want to win [even us old guys are still competitive ] you have to have the latest technology . It also helps me to sell them !!
An old school mate of mine says he's a neighbour of yours..... 🤔😁
Cool, whats his name? Thanks for watching by the way

Great video , but the audio made me have to stop watching as I thought I was underwater with that sound quality , sorry
It’s ok my apologies, I couldn’t believe it when I started editing the video.
A good bike shop
Yes indeed! 👍
Audio issues, hard to understand the guest.
Yes unfortunately, I must of tried correcting it and uploading about five times. Apologies
Thevenet won the Tour in 1975. Nice bikes nonetheless.
Thanks for watching and your knowledge much appreciated
Just put the subtitles on no problem 😊.
Thanks and sorry about the sound, very frustrating. Thanks for watching

Chi Chi-nelli if I’m not mistaken
Thanks for watching and the advice much appreciated
The Lapierre is just......, i don't know!
Thanks for watching 👍
A lot of people have a stash of classic bikes and don't really care that the industry is gone to hell. What about the next generation and riders now that want access to classic bikes in a modern style. Looking at people's collections is not going to bring them back. We all collectively need to lobby the bike industry and your channel could be the start.
Maybe thats an idea, I do know many of the young cyclist around here in the UK know what a good classic is, but yes as you say they now do not have access to them. Food for thought thanks buddy
There are modern brands emulating classics (e.g. Rivendell, All City, Surly), you just have to look.
First!?!?! (probably not at this point)
Thanks 🙏
Crikey
The greatest champions in the world rode steel and caliper brakes and would eat you up and spit you out on a bike, Di2, disc brakes and all.
.
There are definitely people who have a much bigger and better collection than this in the UK. Just because you haven't found them doesn't mean they are not so. It's a bit cringeworthy to be honest.
It’s meant to be more of bait to be invited to more. Thanks for watching though hope your enjoying your weekend 👍
