In the past 3_4 seasons under klopp a world class manager we haven't really been doing anything amazing, season gone carabou cup 3rd place season before 5th place no trophies, season before fa cup another caraboa cup 2nd place season before that 4 th place no trophies. So in my opinion slot could easily come in and win a carabou cup and get in the champions league we.we couldn't really moan at that we ain't won a big trophy in 4years slot should be given time

The jury is massively out on Slot. Appreciate RM you guys have to push out content, but you need to wait until we’ve seen what he can do. Seriously. I’m not gonna hold my breath - I think he will find it a massive massive challenge at LFC, not sure if he’ll be successful or not. Only reason I say that is not because we don’t have the right squad or players. We got a good squad, but because every other team is competition is so high going for same things, pushing as hard, and bigger budgets, the delta (margin is too fine).

I would have loved Zidane. He would fit Liverpool perfectly. And he's a serial winner and he's got gravitas and pedigree.

@@KayZenShoGun There aren’t too many, Alonso probably would have bit more, given he’s been 2 seasons in a harder league or Amorim. Can’t say much about Slot, not even had a press conference yet it’s all very low key of course. Zidane???? What??? He can’t speak English, carried by that great RM team, so suspect he would struggle outside of RM. Definitely not him. He wouldn’t come either. That would not be the right fit for us.
One thing for sure Edward’s and co picked Slot so the likelihood is he will do well.
I think hearing positive things about him is better than hearing that most football people’s opinion is negative on him.
As always we will see what he can do and assess how it’s going along the way.
@@Darkknight21789 I love your breakdown of Zidane. It's hilarious 😂. You echo my thoughts about him too. He has not been proven in the underdog fire like Klopp and Alonso and even Slot. I just hope Slot doesn't suffer from our desire for Alonso. It feels like a "not what we want, but what we got" scenario. Alonso would have his drawbacks too. How would him and his team have reacted to not winning the bundesliga in tight fashion? Sure he's gone virtually unbeaten, but we haven't really seen him come back from a really devastating loss. Slot's response to losing the Eredivisie on a technicality with Alkmaar in 2020 was to win it with Feyenoord. Then he rebuilt a team decimated by transfers leaving about half his starters to gain an even bigger points tally, beaten to the league by an unbelievable PSV. Sure he operated in a weaker league, but Edwards and Co believe his tactics and methods will scale up, that's why they chose him. And Feyenoord fans say the same things about Slot that Liverpool fans say about Klopp. That can only be a good thing.
It rarely happens that a great manager's successor achieves just as much. We've been spoiled by Klopp and our history. Klopp knew this. That's why he did what he did in the last game. He knows what a big job it is and he has faith in Slot. We don't need to be awakened as a fanbase. We just need steady progression and as Ancelotti puts it, "we have to be ready to suffer".
We are up against richer and more corrupt juggernauts, sure, but when does Liverpool do things the easy way? That's why our victories mean more. That's why our parades have crowds in excess of 500,000. That's why everyone fears Anfield and the PGMOL has it out for us. Because we can conjure up Football Miracles season after season.
So let's stop spinning the hamster wheel and relax. Slot has just started the job. All the speculation is just draining our energy. Let's give Slot the benefit of the doubt and see where it takes us.
Remember we wanted Brandt and Gotze, and we got Mane and Salah. A lot of people, myself included felt Ancelotti was a better bet than Klopp. What a fool I was. The data people chose Klopp and now they've chosen Slot. And the people behind the scenes say that Slot was a strong contender on the list.
Let us have faith. Isn't that what being Liverpool is all about?

I would be delighted if City were buying Kimmich, but unfortunately they are not stupid enough to waste their money on an ageing right back. As for Guimaraes, he's excellent, but I doubt he would go to City to warm the bench for Rodri, who is pretty much the same age as him and who is recognized as possibly the DM in the world.
@@rtcommodore9354 I think they'll play them together because KDB is heading to Saudi. Last season they played with Kovacic/Nunez with Rodri. They have tons of players and stopp buying
@@gorekab You mean they would play Guimaraes and Rodri together? I don't know enough about how they would complement each other so I guess it could be so. Guimaraes is really good and could walk into any team. He has a release clause of 100mil, so he wouldn't be cheap, but he would be worth it probably.

Weird that the guy says ETH is struggling, yet he completely over ran Klopp last season finishing 3rd and winning a trophy whilst Klopp delivered an appalling season with an old, threadbare squad. ETH has also just finished the season with a better trophy than Klopp again, 2 seasons running. So who was the one struggling then?

Man U management were looking to fire ETH so if that’s not struggle then I’m not sure what is. Klopp having an off season is not the same as ETH having a good season.
