His passionate runt towards the end about the state of the UK is heart warming to hear as an outsider. Good to see there people who love their country like that.
BTW, Madrid didn't buy Mbappe. I think this needs to be said and understood because it actually makes a fabulous point for Sir Jim. Madrid didn't buy the best player in the world, who is the most sought after player in the world. The finessed the hell out of PSG and got him, technically, on a free. The way Perez runs Madrid compared to the way Utd are run by the Glazers, or WERE run by the Glazers is like watching an F1 driver drive a car and a 99 year old blind, paraplegic granny drive a car. Perez is brilliant. That alone speaks to the management. Very few top clubs could finesse the best player in the world out of the club they play for, the way he did, and very few clubs have the nous and the clout to be able to entice those players to want to come. Utd IMO are RAPIDLY eroding that clout and juice we have, but I think we've got enough that if we make some sensible decisions, we'll be seen as attractive to play for again. Pretty much only Utd, Madrid and probably Barca are the only clubs in the world, every player (bar players with legit rivalries with said clubs; Liverpool born LFC fans, City fans, Leeds fans, Atletico Madrid fans, Barca fans or Madrid fans (for Barca) etc....) would admit that they'd love to play for in their career if given the opportunity. I don't think that there's many players that wouldn't be biting your hand off to play in red, white or blue and garnet. So, we might not be as successful at it as Madrid, because that's always the LUXURY option for players, the winning the Euromillions and getting a Lambo option, but....we can do some serious damage in the transfer window if we're managed properly and we're miles off the pace of it atm.

@@adilabbas8628 its better you return to where you’re from, we do not want middle eastern/south asian muslims here. You’re not in the position to tell who can stay or not in a country you’re not from.
Is it true Ethiopia did a charity concert for a new roof at Old Trafford .
A slight upgrade on the Glazers, - well spoker Sir Jim. From we outside we fans clearly see the vast improvement in the short term you have been in, keep it up!
A great interview tbh, all the right question was asked which most United fans wanted to hear about. Besides, it's clear that Ratcliffe knows what's needed to be done right now by paving the road for the future. Can't wait to have Dan & Omar to be on board to start things going.
You'll be waiting a while for Ashworth, looks like good old Sir Jim can't afford him!!! He's reduced to crying repeatedly to the press instead of just paying the asking price. Newcastle United aren't going to allow a staff member to tear up his contract with 18 months still to run & wander off to join another club; it'd set a very dangerous precedent for football if they did
This is an excellent interview. Sir Jim’s candor is impressive and it feels like our club will finally move in the right direction. Glazers - watch this. Learn from this. And please leave us - sell the whole club to INEOS!
Francine, this is not speed dating. Listen until he finishes before asking another question. You've been doing this for years.
ye but he was dragging it
@@kenwkls6392 Dont care, its rude and we came here to get as much info as possible. Cutting off his points is retarded. If she didn't wanna be there then they should've gotten someone else to interview him and LISTEN
Jim is a legend and she is not. Have some respect.
He understands football and the business around it this man...as a man u fan I am hopeful for the future!
Good interview - really good questions
Guy talks so much of sense. More than football, his stance on economy, politics and infrastructures was enriching. Like him, a Chelsea fan.
I really hope there's a way to sign Todibo
There will be, even if he doesn't play in Europe this season. Forces ETH to do some rotation anyway.
not sure how city can sign players from their sister clubs but united can't
maybe someone can explain that one to me
@@pabloes588 city have 115 reason obviously
@@GoheadGaucho the 115 charges have nothing to do with signing players from clubs they part own 😂
There is.
They pay his contract up at Nice, leaving him a free agent to sign for Manchester United.
Great to see such candid honesty on many subjects
If I ever see a Glazer, it's gonna be on sight. What Jim has done here is more for the fans than the glazers have done in their entire tenure. Im crying, our club may finally have a foundation that managers and players can work from.
Give it three to five years and you’ll be reminiscing about the ‘Good ‘Ol Day’s’ when it was just the Glazers letting the club stagnate. This guy will ruin us.
@@larrysellers7891 Okay larrysellers, if anything he'll bring us down over a 'stagnate' ... if you didnt realize, changes have already began, so a 'stagnation' is already impossible. INEOS will either ruin us worse or they'll bring us back. In the end, I rather take the risk than the rubbish that is the glazer family. There is no United fan that will ever thing of the glazer ownership as the "good ol days" even if we get relegated under INEOS. Get a grip.
@@RasLunacy Well him and his INEOS team have presided over Lassanne Sport being relegated twice so anything’s possible. . . Of the many things wrong with the Glazer’s time at Old Trafford them being tight on the purse strings isn’t one of them. Ratcliffe is already laying the foundation to excuse the lack of spending that’s to come. He won’t be making big signings because of FFP (as if United aren’t one of the highest revenue generating clubs) and he won’t be investing in the stadium unless he’s given access to public funds from the taxpayer. He’s already pulled the plug on the roof being fixed.
I don’t see any evidence that he plans to get United back to the top of English football. At best we might qualify for the Champions League and win the odd domestic cup until he pushes for us to be in a breakaway Super League. Then it’ll be solely about the cash.
Manchester United will rise again. We are United ✔️. Zambia 🇿🇲 is watching

His passionate runt towards the end about the state of the UK is heart warming to hear as an outsider. Good to see there people who love their country like that.
Thanks Sir!
Love the transparency from SJR. Full trust in him and INEOS to lead us back to the top!

Now I know why he is a Sir! Excellent Interview
In no way in the world can you describe the Mbappe signing as free.
100m sign off fee
He radiates confidence, certainty and professionalism. He will revolutionise us. Come on UTD!
The journalist needs to learn to keep quiet rather than trying to butt in. Really unprofessional
Francine Lacqua is considered one of the best interviewers and journalists in the world. She's editor in large at Bloomberg... I think she knows what she's doing
@@gow2ilove after Sir Jim said that he wanted to emulate the Real Madrid model, she then responded who is the blueprint?!?! She then asks if he wants to sign mbappe when SJR is on record saying he was to ‘sign the next mbappe’. Clearly doesn’t listen to her interviewee nor did she do her research
Did she butt in? No a highly intelligent lady with good questions to get an informative answer from Jim

This was a really poorly prepared and executed interview. What research was done? How were the questions chosen? What was the objective? Who are the expected audience? Embarassing Ratcliffe having to answer these appalling questions from someone who clearly has no depth of knowledge in this matter
Poor in what way, sweeping statements with no reasoning, and you’re basing it on what?
And what’s your credentials when it comes to how to interview?
Do you understand the purpose of the interview?
Do you actually understand how interviews work? Unless it’s a public scandal the interviewer would already tell the interviewee what she plans to ask.
Some one of his stature wouldn’t have been interviewed like a politician he would have knew every single question he was to be asked.
Clearly you’re quite ignorant to how these interviews work mate. You sound very, erm what could one say “dense” statements accusations with no reasoning.
