Welcome Arne as Head Coach of the Men’s first team. Both our first teams are entering a new era. There’s a fantastic article Vivian Meidema (who is a lifelong Feyenoord supporter) wrote about Slot back in April about his time at Feyenoord and why he’ll do well at Liverpool. Speaking of Meidema, I hope we sign one of the best strikers in world football. YNWA 🇳🇱

I have a great deal of excitement about Arne Slot taking the reins at Liverpool! His fresh vision could be a catalyst for more success. While he shares similarities with Klopp, I’m curious to see how he approaches tactical nuances.
It’s an exciting time for the club!
Here is a song I've created in anticipation for him leading us this season... th-cam.com/video/kag7nUlKWug/w-d-xo.html

Trent is no midfielder. Lets please stop kidding ourselves because hes our player and we like him. Being able to play some nice passes is only part of whats needed there.

Arne Slot’s tactical knowledge is superb. In detail he will show players what is expected in defensive and offensive positioning. He also clears out how pressure should be done and how movements should be made. If Alexander is smart enough to understand that and pick it up, hé could play as right back, right wing back and even midfielder. Conclusion: he will play on more positions next seasons without adept problems.

Very closed minded, at rb he will always have to track back and defend against pacey wingers. We need a fast physical RB and make Trent an 8

@@MASO204 given those are his two flaws in your eyes, putting him in a position that requires you to be the furthest back and defend 1v1 against the best dribblers on the opposing team would be the mad decision. RB would expose those flaws more than any midfield spot. For England the issue we saw was getting used to playing with his back to goal, that's the issue he'll need to work out if he plays there. What we saw of his defensive game is actually that it suited his preference for proactive defending, anticipating and winning a ball early rather than facing someone running at him into space like you would at right back.
Regurgitated opinion you've clearly not thought about much.

3-4 years ago Trent was easily the inform right back in world football. He’s now no longer guaranteed a starting spot at RB and his dreams of playing out of position in midfield seem to finally be collapsing around him. For me it’s an interesting case of allowing your ego to take over, abandoning your effort levels and focus that got you to the top and being indulged by a coaching team to the detriment of your career / potential. Interesting to see what Slot does with him, I’m of the view that the best for us and Trent is for him to leave this summer but I’m a berk on the internet

Trent definately needs to play as an attacking right back. He didnt have a bad game at all the other night for england in midfield against serbia, but i just felt his lack of experience in the role showed in terms of his positioning and awareness in picking up runners, this might improve in time cos he is a quality footballer, but think his qualities better used wide right.

I think the number one priority for the new manager is making us more solid defensively,. We will not be in any sort of titlerase conceding first in 17 matches, Not that a title race is the expectation but we shouldn't be too far off of it. We need more defensive support not asking our defense to do more than one job as it relates to Trent at right back

Good chat gents. I've noticed that when you discuss potential signings, you hardly ever mention the club they are currently at, assuming that the viewer knows who the player is and who they play for. It's even worse when the person talking doesn't make the player's name clear, so the viewer hasn't got a clue who you're talking about for the next few mins. I don't think I'm deaf or daft just yet, so would help if you could be a bit more clearer and informative - cheers.

Trent can play midfield, but only if he has runners. He stretches the play. Midfielders recycle the ball and put their body on the line when needed; that isn't Trent's game.

It's not doing Trent any favours all this talk of midfield and Liverpool fans as well saying he should be in midfield when there's zero evidence he,s a top midfielder! He s a top right back but if you want to say he,s a midfielder then he won't play as many games . Its just confusing him because he thinks he can be a midfielder but I'm not convinced. Someone will tell me what about that pass he done bla bla bla , or look at the goal he scored for England... as if he s never passed or scored from right back !! He,s not Souness, Gerrard, Macallister, Mcmahon , Alonso , Mascherano , . I dont see what kind of midfielder he is is my point .. the things he does from midfield are from a right back starting point . I might be chatting shit I dunno .. I've been wrong before but he needs to just be the best right back in the world and maybe he can do a job in midfield if needs must but he s not a midfielder. Ffs . YNWA

got to keep Trent,Virgil & mo salah but if they don’t sign new contracts id get rid and invest it back into the team. Liverpool NEED 7 players. 1 left back, 2 centre halves, 2 midfielders, a winger and a striker. Job done - over to FSG and their ghastly sell to buy policy.
One of the guys says whoever goes plus 2. So Matip AND Thiago have left so they both need replacing. This is a case of a replacement for Matip and another centre half, Tsimikas needs to go, replace him. thiago needs replacing an we need a holding midfielder. Then we need a winger and a striker.
We clearly need players as our current squad proved last season and the season before they can't win all trophies, and their job is to win all trophies.
