Never in the history of physics whether it's fictional or not have blood move that rapidly (even gamerated blood) through out the anatomy of any living creature an effect them within seconds of contact. Although writers ✍️ have to squeeze a narrative into a 20 mins showtime, still, writing a lame -half- assed excuse of an origin story is REALLY QUITE PATHETIC 👎👎

They need some kind of backstory lets say that Skaar ship actually beamed those two for Bruce to Hulk out because he was needed in another planet and affected Jen as well why she was able to Hulk out. Easy fix, but writers can't think like that.

I hate this so much. Jenn in the comics was a fun character, in human form she was shy, lacked self confidence and was easily scared, but also a very loving and compassionate person who always offered a shoulder for Bruce to lean on when he needed it.
Bruce HATED the fact he had to turn Jen into a Hulk to save her but Jen was totally cool with it. Becoming She-Hulk gave her self confidence, made her feel good about her self and brought out the best in her, she outright thanked Bruce for it, and felt guilty she had more control over it then Bruce did. She knew what he was suffering through and felt bad she got it easy.
This Jen is litterally none of those things. She's an arrogant, petty, narcissitic misandrist who only seems to care about herself and her problems. I can't imagine Bruce and her getting along for even a couple of seconds, let alone for her giving enough of a shit about Bruce to help him when needed.
I hate this version of Jen, I hate this show and I hate all the people who made it.

20:12 And ironically Bruce Banner saved a woman from being catcalled by violent men in his first movie. He stopped a woman from being sexually harassed even though it drew attention to himself while he was undercover. If any man can empathize with the dangers women are exposed to, it's Bruce Banner. Also in the three episodes of She Hul I've seen so far, She-hulk has done almost nothing for other women.

I miss the days when Hulk was allowed to be written well and have great stories, Hell the comics to this day have hardly even been adapted on screen unlike pretty much everyone else in the MCU. She Hulk from the comics was very likeable, fun and written well by John Burn and Chris Clairmont. Every time we see Hulk on screen now, he barely gets any development and even when he does it's immediately overlooked and forgotten about. I get that Marvel technically can't make a full-fledged solo Hulk movie but come on by now we could've had a Series, or something dive deep into the story and rich lor of this character "ON SCREEN" we should at the very least get to see maybe flashbacks of Bruce and Hulk's life that led up to his appearances in the Avengers team ups, fun fact a lot of the early phases were gonna adapt his Peter David era stuff like Gray Hulk and Devil Hulk bur for some reason or another whether it be Marvel, Disney or the directors and writers Hulk never got to be fully realized on screen the way the other heroes were even within the constraints of the team ups. I wish we had someone at Marvel who loved the comics as much as the fans write for these characters but even though we may see a World War Hulk type story happen after this show (I doubt we will however) I hold very little confidence that it'll be even good let alone "Incredible" This character deserves justice

      @DFGHulkOfficial ปีที่แล้ว +12

@TheBlueKing Also shut up. I have been advocating Marvel to do Abomination comic accurately since before 2008s Incredible Hulk. You weren't even allowed on the internet most likely and further more yes while he looks accurate his personality and characteristics are anything but. You don't know anything about these characters from the comics. I've been a comic book Fan long before we got movies or even mainstream shows about these characters. Blonsky in the conics is a KGB spy whole got his hands on Banners Gamma Tech and used it on himself out of curiosity becoming the Abomination to then go on and fight the Hulk and actually win their first fight. We also learn about Blonsky wife Nadia who thought he was dead but then learned of his transformation and went to Banner right as Blonsky figured out what happened he went gunning for Bruce only to find out his wife rejected him and said something along the lines of he's dead to her. Blonsky and the Hulk had a never ending rivalry that went beyond the grave literally. Abomination came back from Hell after Red Hulk killed him just to torture Banner with the ghosts of his parents Brian and Rebecca Banner. My favorite iterations of the character of Emil Blonsky outside of the comics come from the 90s animated series and the overlooked and under appreciated Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction Video Game and comic tie in which gives us a very gritty and interesting take on the character and his story in relation to Banner and the Hulk. I've been a Hulk fan, a comic book fan since before sites like YT existed so don't ever say I'm not. In the show they simply take his comic accurate design and make him act like a hippie yoga in structure therapist with "7 soul mates" which is nothing like the comic portrayal or really any good portrayal of this character. They even took away his intimidating growl in his voice. Oh and one more thing in the comics and pretty much everything else he can't change back and forth at will. He's literally unable to change back to his human form which is partially why he has such a grudge against Banner and even when Banner got a chance to try and help him Blonsky only made it worse because he poisoned and killed Betty Ross with his blood over what he believes banner did to his wife Nadia. Banner then refused to help Blonsky and told him to rot in Hell. In the show we get pretty much 0 explanation on how he's able to turn back and what happened to him all those years ago. Fuck we don't even get a flashback or anything aside from some bland basic dialog and corny jokes. I'm sorry but if this is comic accurate to you then maybe it's time you actually went online or go to a Damn bookstore and picked up some Damn comics and READ THEM. Use your EYE'S And read. It's not hard. I'm dyslexic and I've been reading comics just fine for 20 + year's. I love these characters and I want them adapted properly on the big/small screen. To this day that has not been done. Hulk deserves better than this. All these characters deserve better.

But see that would require Bruce and Jen to have the close bond they do in the comics (hell, just having that scene alone could have established a lot in a few minutes), but then...the writers would have to ease up on the Man hating, and we can't have THAT apparently

Thank you for this. I've been saying these exact same thing about the idiocy of that first episode and how it completely contradicts the 2008 Hulk movie. I was surprised more TH-cam reviewers and journalist reviews didnt catch onto this enormous continuity error plothole which compltely retconned Bruce's origin.
The 2008 movie went through a lot of strides to try to make the science of the Hulk make sense.
The Gamma Pulse was the name of the MRI-Like machines Bruce aimed at his head.
Dr. Stern used the term "amygdala" which is the part of the grey matter of the brain that controls fear and emotions and stores repressed memories.
This is important because we know Bruce has this from his backstory.
Dr. Stern also mentioned the term 'primer'.
In the original script ; they went further and used the terms "Myostatin Protein primer" and "Uranium" and "radiation mitigation"
These are important because Myostatin controls skeletal muscle growth. Remove that function and the muscle growth grows out of control (like those steroid looking cows you see in pictures)
Uranium poisoning is something soldiers often went through.
So Betty and Bruce were working on an antibody for General Ross (or at least they were lied to) to create a resistance to radiation sickness and Uranium has gamma rays in it; hence why Bruce used the Gamma Pulse machine on himself because he trusted the work Betty and he did to test it on himself.
So there was a lot of scientific research done in order for the plot to make sense and this stupid ass She-Hulk writer just throws all of that out of the window, practically calling Bruce and Jen Mutants now, and citing "the bathroom scene" as the most important scene of the episode. A scene she said she fought to keep in,
A writer who admitted she's not that adept at writing a lawyer show.
A writer who tried to say she read the John Byrne She-Hulk comics yet misquoted them in an interview.
A writer who admitted she was rejected 3 times before by Marvel before she got hired, and said she was gonna keep at it even if she would have to 'burn their offices down' in the process.
A writer who in interviews bragged how she can bully Kevin Feige into what she wants.

It’s also why she becomes attractive outgoing charming instead of a Monster …..

Man I'm loving all the Hulk love you're showing.
I've basically given up on the MCU, and the pussification of Hulk was the 1st thing that started my disinterest.
He's my favorite comic book character of all time, I even have a horribly ugly giant Hulk tatt on my back that I got as a kid, let my drunk buddy use me as practice because I was so in love with the idea of a Hulk tattoo.
I use to think that the problem in the MCU, was that Hulk had been handed to people who didnt understand him.
Now it's fairly obvious that the issue is they hate him,
    They hate his fans,
And they are going out of the way to ruin the character.
I'm hearing a lot of WWHulk buzz , I don't understand how they can do a movie that has even 1/4th of the spirit of WWH when they have made him a Nursemaid.

The thing is I'm pretty sure it's normal for Jen to be completely conscious in her Hulk form from the get go.
I think Blonsky was also conscious as the Abomination, in fact that's one of the reasons it makes sense to put him in prison and keep him there.
Because he uses his Abomination form as a weapon, and commited actual murders doing so since he was legitimately conscious and aware of what he was doing.
Which gets ruined in the show anyway lol.
Nonetheless Jen's mind isn't fractured like Bruce's is since she doesn't have a multiple identities in her head.
That doesn't mean her journey can't be interesting, because what I remember from my childhood. Jen as a human wasn't confident, was kind of shy and honestly just another person in the background. Her Hulk form gave her a ton of confidence, she was THE She Hulk.
It paints this massive contrast between two versions of Jen but what's interesting is that she isn't actually 2 different people in the same mind like with Bruce. She doesn't have any disorders she just changes her personality because her Hulk form changes her looks.
The show however does that no justice, she's just perfect from the get go and a massive narcissist that's overconfident in herself even before she gets her Hulk form...

But I have few points to critique (I agree with most that was said in the video):
    1) don't think gamma radiation is needed to create another Hulk... maybe in the world of MCU but She-Hulk in the comics got her powers after transfusion from Bruce
    2) car crash was not Jen's fault. There was clear road without any turns in front of her and that space ship appeared out of nowhere. I know driver should pay attention to road all the time but there was no indication of any danger.

What she did instead is panic, ignore the brakes, swerve the vehicle into the nearest barrier and down into a ditch endangering herself and her passenger. Luckily there were no other vehicles nearby because she would have endangered them as well.

6:28-- I agree with the video 100%. And I agree the She Hulk show has contrivances. But the source material does establish that Banner has a biological difference that allows him to HULK whereas other don't.
In the comics, his Father exposed Banner to Gamma and physical abuse as a young boy. So that established Banner's tolerance to Gamma AND his repressed personality.
In the TV show, Banner thinks his DNA is lacking something his test subjects had. But when he tests himself, he actually has the most. But then he discovered they had Hulk like incidents when the Sun was emitting high Gamma, but he didn't. So his logic is to expose himself to Gamma directly. It didn't give him permanent strength, but it did give him that ability after bouts of anger.

I think Bruce (?) referring to himself as "Smart Hulk" was supposed to be a reference to Iron Man 1 because as Tony said while holding a newspaper before saying "I am Iron Man":
_"That's kind of catchy. It's got a nice ring to it."_
Tony never gave himself the name Iron Man but it was what the press was referring to him as.

Usually, comics are fucking stupid so it's never a 100% thing. The problem is that clashes with what's been presented in the MCU and IF they're drawing more heavily from the comics it makes her look even worse as a family member, because the entire reason comic Bruce is ballistic goes back to things like abuse and PTSD finally given true manifestation.

Although if they are pulling from the comics it would explain its treatment of Banner a bit (as well as his Ragnarok characterization now that I think about it). It's established in the comics that Banner is kind of an asshole that really deserves a calling out or two, or currently an entire series, as the current Hulk run dedicates a lot of its time punishing Banner for his actions in the previous run.

There are no competent writers in the MCU anymore, just people who know people and get work. Say what you want about Whedon, but he understood the characters.

When she fell through the cliff, a normal human would panic immediately and try to keep balance, or scream...
...But she lifts the middle finger instead, as if she was already incredibly used to falling said heights.

I want to point out the reason why hulk might have not stopped the car was not the fact he wasn’t strong enough in my opinion he was holding back he does this throughout the episode (as god awful as it is) as he doesn’t want to hurt Jen

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is the kind of show that makes me wish there was some cheesy 90s TV movie adaptation I could watch instead.

They could've said that Bruce needed some Vibranium in order for it to actually be worth using, cause without it it would've just turned her into a walking Gamma bomb. The hulk transformation metabolizes Gamma and Vibranium's primary use is modulating and manipulating energies, so without the vibranium, which he can't get a hold of more of right now, she would emit the gamma that would normally be metabolized to power her hulk form instead.

Of her claps are so loud that it hurt hulks ears then it's going to destroy her ears. as her hands are way closer to her ears than his ears.

Although I agree with pretty much everything you say but, and this is just me, I think jen should not be forced into being a super hero especially when she is a lawyer. Nobody should be forced into a role they did not ask for

Rewatching this back through your lens the hints that this was a show was there from the start. So Jen going to the writer's room was their plan from the start of the show which is really odd to me.

20:59 I cannot agree with this sentiment since Jen transforms into her Hulk form while she's finishing up her ranting, which implies that she's not nearly as good at controlling her anger as she lets on and that she shouldn't dismiss everything Bruce is saying. I don't know why so many reviews on TH-cam keep omitting the end of that rant as it's kind of important to the overall narrative.
