I can tell you are not vegetarians. I became a vegetarian not because I wanted but because it was one of the conditions to have been a vegetarian for a year at least in order to be admitted to a certain spiritual school. After having accomplished, I was not interested anymore but the improvement of my digestion and general wellbeing was sooo obvious that since then I have remained a vegetarian! That is 41 years ago!!!! I am a sp/sx 6. And during that time I started feeling compassion for the animals, too
I know a Dao-master who survived on raw clams and other shells for a long time. He even decided not to eat a mallard that sought refuge on his boat in the middle of the Atlantic, despite starving he befriended it instead and it even pooped all over the floor! :-) Point being you can be compassionate regardless of what you eat, and while your diet may be a requirement for a school it is not a requirement for spirituality. In recent years it's pretty much been proven that humans evolved from eating plants to eating meat, it's why we lost or cecum for instance. The only reason you'd feel better going on a vegetarian diet is that it typically comes with an interest in your own health that may entail excluding artificial additives, pasta etc. for clean products like nuts or salads. Spiritual people may also be de-stressing, or escaping city-life for more natural settings. Being vegetarian is historically for poor people. The rich people and the warriors always ate meat, and when kings wanted to weaken a people they'd take the meat away from them. It would make their bodies and minds weak. If you come to experience problems with your digestion such as gases, sibo or IBS, beware we're not designed to eat greens. _The evolution of the human trophic level during the Pleistocene_ by Miki Ben-Dor.
This seems to be a common theme I’ve noticed when it comes to mistyping So, especially if you’re an Attachment type (3, 6, 9). Actions that look like they’re motivated by So (such as becoming vegetarian), but really are motivated by Sp and/or Sx.
@@catherineslist673 I see it was a long reply - and probably plainly written - so unless you can formulate a more specific question I'm not reading my own reply again in order to explain the meaning to you. Going by the first paragraph I probably kicked back on the silly notion that eating greens is more spiritual than eating meat, especially since it's less healthy for us. For gut issues: have animal fat and collagen, and cut out other foods especially processed "foods" and foods containing lots of fibers.
@@oscarl.3563 sorry I did not see there was more,bI saw only your first paragraph. Thank you for your long answer. The discussion was only the Motivation of being vegetarian, nothing else.
I eat raw meat and eggs every day, and usually some cooked meat as well. Mostly for health reasons as this is what humans have evolved to eat hence it's also for this animal cause - me, but you can also make the argument eating meat it is better for _animals,_ the soil and the environment. In nature everything grows like a permaculture garden. There is a layer of moss, stones or other vegetation that keep the soil moist but never too wet, and that break down into minerals and other nutrients. Different plants grow next to each other. When you plant crops you deforest an area, till the soil(exposing it to sun and wind, destroying all the layers and killing bacteria) and then plant a mono-crop on your field. In order to make it profitable you have to have one type of grain, and then you have to kill every animal or insect that enter your field by various means. When vegetarians or vegans eat crops this kills far more animals and insects than meat-eaters do - especially if they eat mostly beef or pork as opposed to chicken or fowl. Without manure from livestock we demineralize the soil, making the crops deficient in nutrients, then farmers have to add minerals artificially. Live a natural life, it is better for everyone. Eat meat, don't encourage too many plantations.
If that's true that must mean you'd change back to eating meat if it ever became clear to you that you cause more harm and cause more animals to die from being vegetarian. I believe plantations and mono-crops harm and kill far more animals than eating live-stock. If you're being honest you should look into it.
Beatrice how is it to be a 2 and what would you recommend for being in a relationship with one, do they tend to adapt or like to join in, how do they see reciprocity and what do they absolutely like and dislike
So, to recap and clarify, when you say that the repressed instinct is where we might sabotage ourselves, and it is pushed down, and can jump up unexpectedly.... A So/Sp 6 might at times become more assertive against perceived threats, and a So/Sp 4 might at times become uncharacteristically dramatic and superior-feeling? And the most important thing is to work on balancing / tempering the dominant instinct, and secondly, to be aware of the shadow results of pushing down the repressed instinct?
Is there a thing like instinct pride? I've heard for example very immersed sp5 describe impulsivity as stupidity and something that won't work because it lacks logic but again they prefer to look at and point examples where it happens rather than the whole and similarly sexual types tend to label sp activities as boring or obvious and are severely uninterested in sp types or tend to feel joy and a strong identity when they realize they are sexual types, but get most of their depressive or angry states and lack of wellbeing or health and thus emotional stability because they ignore ir simplify this so severely
I don't understand why not wanting to eat the flesh of animals that are kept in appalling farm conditions most of the time is seen as controversial? In fact I think it is far more controversial that meat eaters think it fine and ok to be part of such a system of cruelty to animals ! There is nothing idealistic about being a vegetarian, in fact it is medically proven that meat causes cancer, and would be more broadly publicised as such if the cattle and dairy "big business" werent to entrenched in certain countries male patriarchal capitalist consumer meat culture. Actually meat should come with a major health warning, including cancer and all the other health problems it causes, including heart disease, cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes. I wonder how many people who eat meat would be honest enough to go to a slaughter house or butchery and then come out not being affected by what they saw? I think every meat eater should have to see what happens in feed lots, industrial dairies and abbatoirs. Have you seen how veal calves are kept? Have you seen animals crammed onto abattoir trucks in appalling conditions? Do you know how herds of cattle bond with each other and the trauma they go through being split up and slaughtered? Do you know how cattle go crazy when they smell the blood of other cattle? I do as a cattle farmer who only raises cows for breeding, and who has been a vegetarian for 47 years and never missed meat....oh and I am a South African! Animal farming is cruel and barbaric and how it has been allowed to continue as it has, says a lot about the lack of psychological/spiritual awareness of the human race.
I just did a test and got 62% sexual, 54% social and 54%self.press... which one is repressed one in my case? I also scored in another test very high on Social 7... while I have actually sex.4 type.
Tests are at best guides into what to look at first. At worst they contain mistakes. And at mediocre they have questions that various people will answer "wrong". Read up on the social and self-preservational instincts and see which one for you is most hot/cold for you, most annoying when other people expect it of you, which one you default to for getting needs met and which one is a struggle to use to get needs met, etcetera. If neither the social or self-preservational instincts seem to be your repressed instinct, then read up on the sexual instinct and see if it is actually your repressed one. If you have trouble doing this for yourself, ask other people who know you well.
I don't understand why certain aspects of the sexual instinct is neglected by you guys. People with a dominant sexual instinct, and to a lesser degree those with it in their 2nd spot, are generally more focused on sexual attraction. Am I sexually attractive by a mate? And they are generally more pulled to the attractive energy in a room and exude attractive energy. The other aspects of those with a 1st and 2nd sexual instinct in their "sequence" are they are more adventurous, and they have a desire to really merge with their mate. It's not really about have one to one connections with people but more about procreation with a mate. That's why it's called the sexual instinct.
When discussing behaviors it would be helpful if you try to flesh out definitions of terms such as "impulsive" and "intense" by comparison of actual behaviors seen in individuals with the same type (and wing!). Because I'm grimacing in disagreement when you're talking about type 8 when I think of my 8w7 sp/so former landlord. At least in his interactions with me he's one of the most impulsive people I've met. And I've at least met some non-sexual-last 8s. I agreed with Beatrice's description more. I think 5s, in general, aren't that great at behavioral descriptions. :) Have you (Uranio) tried describing the intellectual / idea-generation modes of the instincts? I would guess that 5s would excel at that.

plenty of men are cruel and they don' t care at all about the well being of animals
52:22 Excellent. Good point, although ofc every vegetarian should reconsider it - unless there is no other food available of course.
