(bird-like feathered raptors roughly the size of a Deinonychus). These speculative living-dinosaurs are highly intelligent (much like ravens) with their ability to solve abstract problems, and being extremely social creatures. They even have the ability of mimicking sounds and human speech. The inspiration behind these creatures was centered around how humans view creatures with superior abilities and relative intelligence like aliens or mystical dragons, but with a more realistic approach. (their interaction with humans throughout history can even be the inspiration of dragon fables.) The species' incentive for progress is different from humans. Humans are creative and progress by invention and discovery. These creatures on the other hand progress and survive by adaptation in the form of exercising (training) their physical and cognitive abilities to be quicker and smarter and pass on their strong genetics and learned knowledge to their offspring. small adaptations between sub-species "gift" individuals with unique traits. One may be better suited to move more stealthily, whereas another may have better eyesight and the ability to see a greater depth of light spectrums. The implications of such rare and genetically-gifted lifeforms means that the few scientific corporations that know of their existence would spare no expense in capturing live or dead specimens, without fully realizing or caring for their human-like intelligence. This plot produces a three-way conflict between competing human factions and the species they hunt. I would assume multiplayer modes like The Hidden, Crysis: Hunter mode, and maybe even Primal Carnage would greatly apply to this idea.

Meh I disagree with you. I understand your point but a horror games are immersion games from the start. That's the whole point of this genre. Plus, a well made first person game (especially a horror game) is waaaay more immersive than a third person view game.
Takes away from the suspense, I don't know if I would agree that it takes away from the stealth aspect. Often times it's the one super-power you're given in a stealth game, a more flexible perception.
to be honest it's been done. There's plenty of games where you fight against mythological beasts. However its rare to find a game that fully immerses the player in the perspective of one of the beasts themselves, and takes the narrative forward from there.

I think it'd be awesome if you had two completely different campaigns for this game, one from the beasts perspective and one from the vikings perspective. Game looks cool already tho :P

They can't really tell you that until the game is finished and someone not involved with the creation process has tested it. Scripted trailers are to give a general idea of the game theme and samples of basic interaction. It's only really a problem when they genuinely try to hide that side of it.

Because you aren't the scary creature. Not really. In this universe, that title goes to the humans. They are the monsters. They are the ones annihilating your species, not the other way around. You are simply fighting to survive. They are fighting to make sure you don't. As dangerous as you can become, you are the one scared for your life while the humans just want to destroy you.

Lejundairy the Viking mysteriously turned around and saw the little gremlin because I think he could hear it's growling heavy breathing. The little creature was able to escape through a small chasm in the cave wall though.

Project Wight has devs from popular games like Kerbal Space Program, PayDay 2 and Battlefield to name a few. So they probably are making good progress (slow because they old)

This looks like an in-depth version of the Be The Zombie mode in Dying Light, which was as fun as this looks. Looking forward to seeing where this goes in development!

I think it'd be awesome if you had two completely different campaigns for this game, one from the beasts perspective and one from the vikings perspective. Game looks cool already tho :P

Still patiently waiting for even a tiny piece of news on this game. I really hope they’re still working on it. And I hope they take their time and make a wonderful game. It’s a very small group of people, so I wouldn’t be expecting a Witcher 3 or Skyrim sized game.
It'll be more realistic if we can see ourself in 3rd person with the scroll of the mouse, and mayb add to "murders" more effects. Btw the work on unity look great, good job :)

The best fucking part was how monotone and devoid of soul it was. I would've preferred him just talk about what gameplay is like instead of trying to immerse you.
They can't really tell you that until the game is finished and someone not involved with the creation process has tested it. Scripted trailers are to give a general idea of the game theme and samples of basic interaction. It's only really a problem when they genuinely try to hide that side of it.

You are simply fighting to survive. They are fighting to make sure you don't. As dangerous as you can become, you are the one scared for your life while the humans just want to destroy you.

Vikings didn't have horns on their helmets. Having horns is such a dangerous thing because the enemy could hit it, you would lose your balance and get killed because of it. It's a inaccurate representation and it triggers my autism

They could have not actually seen it at first, the creature might have better vision in the dark. The Vikings could have only seen just beyond their torches until they got to the bridge.
Lejundairy the Viking mysteriously turned around and saw the little gremlin because I think he could hear it's growling heavy breathing. The little creature was able to escape through a small chasm in the cave wall though.
