This is an incredible mod, just from seeing this gameplay it's already amazing. And with the Gravemind as a boss this mod is absolutely legendary!

@@MrNanukes It's 4 player co-op! It's Halo 3 netcode though, so you need really stable connection. :)
I was in the initial design for the gravemind fight in Halo 3. You were going to be on a Scarab fighting off the flood with Cortana controlling it and finally using it to fight off and open up opportunities for the chief to end up killing it with various weapons like the Spartan laser and rocket launcher. Cortana ended up making the final deathblow by using the scarabs head cannon to kill it. We had to cut it for time.
That's awesome! A lot of those scripts are actually accessible in the H3EK still, but the device_machines and actual level geometry (if there even was any) are missing. Still a dream of mine to finish that mission one day :D

I hope you had fun! :D I just released a new update that adds Tartarus, the Covenant Prophets, the Heretic Leader and 343 Guilty Spark as bosses, as well as H2A model updates for everything and Halo Wars 1 and 2 vehicles by Green Knight! :D
Shame the gravemind glitched out at the end, it happens if he tries to play his death animation while he's already playing the "emerge from the ground" animation. I'll try to fix it soon! :)
So first and foremost thank you for making this amazing mod it is alot of fun. Is the Mantis usable in this because I have done 70+ rounds in it and never got it to appear as a reward.
@@weaver900 got a cool idea for you’re mod any chance you could make the H2A Brutes Berserk like they do in Halo 2 when do loose a H2A Brute ally. I played another Halo 3 mod where you have too save Johnson and the creator got the brutes too berserk like Halo 2 s Brutes. Awesome mod btw I completed all the Boss Fights you’re mod was the first mod I ever played on MCC It was a blast and its my favourite Mod on MCC.

I wanna say that this mod is actually amazing. I’ve been trying the updates as they’ve been releasing for a while now and I’m impressed. I want an official Firefight mode that’s like this
I actually want to see all of the prometheans come back in halo. They are interesting and make perfect sense to fight the flood. 343 made some very challenging enemies but used them wrong. Some slight changes and understanding how they fit into combat, 343 could actually do well with them.
Story wise they should only appear when the flood come back. So they can do their actual job killing the flood and then any possible biomass.

This mod is spectacular! It’s so cool seeing elements from every halo come together and it was awesome to see the boss fights!
When the didact started talking in combat all I could think of was harbinger in me2 going "ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL"

You would think 343 and gaming companies would pay attention to things like this and take aspects that players love from mods and put them into the game. Like actually fighting a gravemind in an actual halo games story would be amazing. Or even adding details like that into firefight options. I think that would help keep fans interested with the fan service and enjoyment.
The day/night cycle is a freaking awesome addition. I also love the Elite "Have no fear! I will cover the rear! Hahahaha!!"
This is an amazing what if scenario...and I agree a fight against Didact would've been so much more cathartic of an ending for H4 (Halo had not done any good boss fights at the time). However, I'm kind of glad the Gravemind never got a fight. It had defeated "fleets of thousands". It just makes me feel that if it was possible for me as a lowly human to kill it (even as John) it would've actually pulled away from the power of the Gravemind and how ungodly strong it truly was
the srcabs in halo 3 were amazing boss fights
The Charlie woooooo sent me lol. The lore is deep with this mod. Absolutely great mod. S+ tier content and mod. Loved seeing all merged and something we fantasized about.
The weapon you are thinking of is the An-94. It is a real weapon designed by the Soviet Union for its mechanized crews to have to defend themselves with. The idea is that each trigger pull will fire a hyperburst of 2 shots for greater chance to kill, also the recoil is only felt when the second bullet is fired, due to a very complex system of recoil and pulleys.

Or the G11 by HK firing caseless ammunition and burst fire with 3 rounds, only after which the recoil was transmitted
The plasma caster bit had me dying. The geniva convention fading in was perfect. Also someone needs to on check on jega. I think the Geneva convention says something about stabbing someone in the back with a laser sword

Luc, I’d argue that a 2-round burst is more efficient than a 3-round burst because it’s a good way to get two shots immediately on a target while saving ammo in the long run.
The AN-94 is a great example of a 2-round burst weapon that can get two shots in the same spot, more or less, which benefits the user, especially if they’re untrained. It also benefits from having an insanely high cyclic rate when firing its 2-round hyper burst.
In defense of 3-round burst, it’s a great way to get a high volume of fire in accurate bursts

The gun you call a pulse carbine is actually a storm rifle from halo 4/5. It was the base model for the plasma caster in the mod
It is actually based on the pulse carbine! I was going to try to make it with a custom model, but didn't get chance so it just uses the storm rifle model with yellow shaders. The Storm Rifle is also in this mod in it's classic blue :D
Hol up. so you are saying it is like the pulse carbine but you are just using the storm rifle model. as a place holder or the official design. Plz tell me.
@@CloneCommander5929 Yep that's exactly right, the yellow storm rifle was going to be a placeholder while I got around to hacking together a custom model for it like the plasma caster, but I never got around to it :) It fires tracking burst shots like the Infinite Pulse Carbine :)

Absolutely wailing on the Didact with a Sticky Det and a Missile Pod on Sandtrap ... It feels so wrong, yet so right at the same time.

The people who made ultimate fire fight sand trap made a early beta map they are currently working on; you play as the banished and have similar win reward choices fighting on a flood infested area with active flood spores at the enemy spawn the game host plays as a brute the 2nd player becomes a jackal or skirmisher and the other two are elites they also have armored gutas from reach it’s incredibly underrated but it is fun
2 things:
1: the reason the Gravemind froze like that when you killed him is *I think* because you killed him during his breaching animation with froze it.
2: the on screen HUD is from halo infinite, I think.
I loved this, can we see more of it in the future?

I've been talking about for a few years how I would go about a flood return or even a none cannon game just centered around a flood infestation from the pov of different characters like marines, odst, Spartans or even civilians

Somebody made a working Didact boss fight. Something a AAA developer couldn’t back in 2012.
I think a cool idea for the companion feature would be being able to choose from your different games’ multiplayer Spartans. Don’t know how hard that would be, but it would be badass

The two-round burst you were talking about from Advanced Warfare was the MP443 Grach pistol. Which is to date the only weapon in CoD to be two-round burst by default, and only of only three weapons that can do it at all.
The 2-shot burst on that CoD rifle is based off of the real-world AN-94. The reason why it's a 2-shot burst is due to the complex recoil system built into the gun, it's design allows both shots to be fired before the shooter is affected by the recoil of the first shot.

Honestly, I would absolutely die to have. This as an actual game mode I would just say see if they could pay the mod creator for his mod and make it a built-in feature of Halo MCC. But at the same point it not being officially a mode might be beneficial because it can be updated when we want it.

Modders are the only thing keeping Halo Alive 343 can do something like this if they add firefight to infinite but it’s unlikely that will ever happen

From my experience, the Ossoona is one of the better partners as they start off with a Fuel Rod and an Energy Sword.
Another neat feature I like in 5.0 is that each boss defeated adds unique drops to the reward pool at the end of each wave. For example, defeating the Prophets lets you pick allied Councillor Elites, and defeating the Scarab lets you pick allied Hunters.
This is the best mod I’ve ever seen

3:12 I think your thinking of the AN-94, it's a real firearm used by the Russian VDV and Spetznaz, if you think it's odd you need to understand how weird it is on the inside, litteraly has gears and pulleys that make the hyperburst work, forgotten weapons did a breakdown of how it works if your interested
