imagine if they made it part steel type. Would have naturally been more buff and perhaps it oculd have learned some steel moves too. Would be 4x weak to fire and psychic though, but becomes less weak to other types.
I love taking those early bug types to the end. I took a butterfree to the end in leaf green. Using beedrill in kalos currently. Love the big hornet so much. Its movepool does suck though. Taught mine venoshock though. I just like using the early bugs because bug is my favorite type and no one else gives thrm love.
Beedrill complete evolve in LEVEL TEN. Tell me how many stat does your starter have at that level ? Beedrill is very strong early game with usefull move and before lvl 30 it a monster
I always tried to keep one on my team but never could :( now I have a good one in Pokémon go and he can mega there. They have battle brackets that make him viable in a lower power battle. The Giovanni Fact was really cool I’m glad he has some canon spotlight that recognizes his potential. Great video, can’t wait for more like it!
Never got too into Pokémon go but that’s actually awesome. Nice to see it viable somewhere at least 😅 Yeah and it’s pretty fitting considering giovanni probably spent a lot of his youth in that forest
Butterfree learns all the powder moves and can use them without fearing a miss. That alone is enough to make it useful troughout the entire game. And since gen 5 it's got quiver dance as well so i'm really curious to know what you think Beedrill and its fury attack brings to your team
It's my favorite Pokemon, and it really sucks! In part because of its movepool and in part because of its stats, it's just not very usable in the vast majority of games. It's good to beat Misty's Starmie in Gen 1 and 3 for the STAB super effective Twineedle and that's basically it. In every other game, it either lacks those advantages, its movepool is too weak to make up for its low stats (because it doesn't matter how good your stats are for a level 10 when you have only one attacking move), or it *literally doesn't exist* (it would've been such a great option against, say, Gardenia) I'm cool with it not being great. But it's crazy how downright UNUSABLE it is. Not just bad, but dead weight or literally nonexistent. A lot of Pokemon are balanced around a playthrough of the game, not for competitive. But when a Pokemon balanced for level 15 fights isn't available until the post game, it just becomes...completely pointless. That's Beedrill. My hottest take here is that Twineedle deserves to be a MUCH better move than it is. It's the only move that can poison Steel-types because it's the only move that can poison that isn't a Poison-type move! That's cool as hell!
It definitely needs at least a Spd buff; the only Technician mons that slow are Hitmontop and Scizor that are both some combination of priority, bulk, utility, strength, typing alternative powerful ability.

Bee drill is my favorite pokemon
Remember when Giovanni outsmart Lance Dragonite in the Manga using Beedrill?
technician and speed buff will really help beedrill
I like beedrill
It might be bad but I enjoy using them and their design is cool

Honestly, never thought of that. That would be sick. Def better than Bug/Poison
Beedrill can learn outrage via tm

Reupload?
Yeah, tweaked the audio a bit and cleaned up a transition that was bugging me
Beedrill is op for early, not trash.
Butterfree is worse than beedrill. But why do Beedrill first?
What is Beedrill good for without mega evolution?
Butterfree was the only way I knew of beating Misty as a kid.
