UOB card activation for Overseas use.
To activate a UOB card for overseas use, the magnetic stripe has to be enabled for overseas POS transactions and ATM access. It is done by;
Calling the UOB Hotline.
1. Dial the hotline number at 1800-222-2121. {The phone number is in the description}
2. Choose your preferred language.
3. Dial one and select the option to Enable/Disable the overseas use of your UOB card.
4. Your Magnetic stripe is enabled.
5. Your card Is ready for overseas use.
Visiting a Uob bank branch
1. Go to the nearest UOB branch.
2. Request for the Overseas use of your card to be activated.
3. The teller will activate it for you. Your card is ready to use.
