However, regarding the war in Gaza, I'm curious why you haven't mentioned the underlying reason for it, namely the threat Israel faces from extreme Islamic jihadists whose goal is the eradication of Israel and the killing of all Jews. I also sense a lack of consideration for the religious motives behind this conflict and the profound hatred involved. It's interesting that there were no protests during the conflicts in Syria and Yemen, where hundreds of thousands of Muslims perished, or regarding the limited education for girls in Afghanistan under the Taliban. The depth of understanding among these protestors about the region and its history I'm highly sceptical of.
