I agree. This is honestly leaving performance on the table and if you're using headphones, you likely won't care about noise. You'll care about performance, and you won't get it with that cap. It just makes viewers mad at Eber for leaving performance out for no legitimate reason. I have to dislike this video for that reason, and I'm going to keep doing so until they reverse this decision.

Watching this on my M16 and there really is something special about the larger 16", 16:10 display. It feels so much larger than the 15" and is just so much better feeling to work on and use. Add in the sleek design without obvious gaming designs/elements and I'm happy pulling this out in a work meeting or at a friends to game. The Zephyrus line is definitely my favorite line of laptops currently.

4:15 correction, the new 2022 G15 also does not have a fingerprint sensor. This is because all the 2022 models now support webcams, so now all Zephyrus laptops use Windows Hello, no more fingerprint sensors.

Reasons to get M16 over G15: 16:10 ratio, better plugged in performance (but worse on battery), thunderbolt 4 ports (sadly G15 doesn't have usb-4)

It’s really interesting how reviewers miss the point when doing reviews. They almost don’t have a good laptop to recommend to users. All they do is to compare and compare hence people get confused and are most of the times unhappy on their purchase. I would advise you reviewers to stop comparing, but rather review a device for what it is and it was meant for , otherwise you keep people in vicious loop of buying unnecessary devices.

    Facepalm #1 soldered RAM
Facepalm #2 the power cable runs along the exhaust went
Facepalm #3 exhaust is also blocked by the screen. This tuck-under hinge was originally introduced to make the bottom bezel look less dreadfully large, which wouldn't be needed anymore with the 16:10 screen.

Reminds me of the (unfortunate) days when I had a MacBook pro, which I used to cook my breakfast on because it heat a cast iron skillet better than a camp fire. But I digress.. Other channels like Jarrod's Tech understand that most gamers want maximum performance and can take a lot of noise for more performance because of something called HEADPHONES. Either change this going forward, or I think a lot of viewers will be turned off by these reviews kneecapping performance like that when most won't. It feels like you're manipulating the reviews. I've had it for a few months, last year's model. Some thoughts:
-For some reason I really don't enjoy typing on it, I often miss key strokes.
    - I literally never use the performance mode. It's either silent mode for office work or movies watching, or turbo mode for gaming, with headphones on as it's loud as a jet.
    - the screen is beautiful and big, no complaints there.
    - it's a good looking machine, nice subdued design. Interior is s total fingerprint magnet.
    - Bettery works as advertised, no need to be hugging the wall. And if need be, it can be also slowly charged using usb c.
    - It might be just my bad luck, but paint started chipping form a few keycaps within weeks on my machine.
    - I really wish there was some light indicating what power mode it's currently on. Having to launch armoury crate to check every time is annoying.
All on all I am satisfied with it, but it isn't a dream machine and I wouldn't pay the full price. I found mine of a good deal and consider it money well spent.

Back in September Asus Canada had a sale on their laptops. They had two laptops priced at $2999 Canadian (Or about $2200 USD) the two Laptops was:
    M16 (I9 12900H, 3070TI, 32GB Ram, 1TB NVME SSD, 16 Inch QHD Plus display
Pro Duo 16 (R9 6900HX, 3070TI, 32GB ram, 1TB NVME SSD, 16 Inch FHD Plus display plus the secondary 14 inch touchscreen)
(DISCLAIMER: Pro duo 16 was advertised with a QHD display when I ordered it and ASUS fucked up, in Canada this SKU only is in FHD, they ended up giving me a $150 partial refund so it cost me $2849 Canadian)
I ended up going with the pro duo 16 for a couple reasons.
    1. Although the ryzen 6900HX isn't as performant as the 12900H the difference in battery performance was massive. When have the secondary display off and in eco mode I can get around 9 hours of web browsing/youtube, not to mention freesync with optimus)
    2. Ram isn't baked onto the motherboard. Pro duo 16 has two sodimm slots making future expandability (up to 64gb) possible.
    3. The 3070Ti in the pro duo 16 is a higher TDP. With dynamic boost the M16 is 100+20 watts, or 120 watts max, the pro duo 16 is 125+25 watts, or 150 watts total.
    4. Secondary 14inch touchscreen. Honestly to some it might be a gimmick but having the secondary touchscreen is awesome for multitasking not to mention amazing for DS emulation hahaha. Since the intake fans are located under the hinged display thermals have also been amazing.
    5. Per key rgb. Come on its rgb
    6. On the pro duo the hdmi port is 2.1, whereas the m16 its just 2.0
    7. NVME SSD installed is about twice as fast as the one installed in the M16
There are cons however compared to the M16.
    1. Like I stated the main display was mis advertised; it is 1200p rather than 1600p, but with the same peak brightness and the fact its still a rather small display I dont really mind the lower res screen.
    2. Weight. The pro duo 16 is 1 pound heavier than the M16. 5.5lbs isn't heavy by any means but it is still heavier, not to mention the power brick is also heavier (280 watts vs 240)
    3. Lack of thunderbolt. Being AMD based both the USB-C ports are not thunderbolt. Asus has promised that in a future bios update the usb c connectors will be updated to USB 4 but time will tell.
    4. Awkward keyboard/trackpad layout. This will be up to the user. Since the secondary display takes up the majority of space the keyboard is pushed to the front of the unit and the track pad is located on the right side in a vertical position. Personally I haven't had any issues, feels like typing on a regular keyboard. Plus side is the track pad doubles as a numpad.
Overall I think the pros outweigh the cons. Plus the fact I paid $2849 canadian instead of the regular msrp ($3699) made me seal the deal. If I could change one thing however is I wish the laptop had an RX 6850M gpu instead of the 3070ti. Would really take advantage of the 6900HX not to mention be more on par with a 3080ti for the same price of the 3070ti.

Just bought this laptop on sale today, about $1699 CDN. I'm immediately happy with the device, especially the display. Mine's the 3060 version. The feel of the trackpad and the soft touch finish makes it feel so premium.. as it should at that price.

I bought mine in early June of this year (2023). i9, 16GB, 3070Ti, 1TB SSD- $1400 at Best Buy. I've had a driver issue or two since I've owned it but that's not too surprising. As far as the power brick goes, no thank you. I bought a 100 watt USB-C charger that is far easier to carry than the Asus in the box one.

There is a model selling that has same screen same everything but rtx 3060 with a i9-12900H.
I was wondering if that will cause some sort of bottlenecks?

Guys... is the end of 2022... Please add a VR Compatibility section in your reviews... Pretty sure you have a Quest 2 laying around somewhere.
I have a Ryzen 9 / RTX 3060 Zephyrus G14 2021, and it doesn't work with VR headsets... We rely on you to put that "VR Ready" label that manufacturers slap on things to the test!

Hey it was nice review. I am from india and my primary objective for vouching this machine is for Lumion design rendering software. I didn’t see this software benchmark on your video. Could you please help me on this. I mean should consider this machine, or is there any other better model for the Lumion software. Here is the configuration available in India:

8 gigabytes soldered is a fiasco in 2022 for a gaming/creator laptop. And the cooling system inspires concern for the display matrix
