Well, I just did mine and on a 2003 PA truck with 107,000 miles everything came apart and went back together as easy as this dude’s video. I’m generally as amazed as you are. lol good luck, boys.
Great video! Quick and to the point with all the specs. I love it! My only constructive advice would be to tell the people without a lift to loosen lug nuts and cv axle nut before jacking the truck up.
I bought two trq cards axles and both were bad out of the box. I already had my old axles out when I found out so I bought new ones at a local auto parts store. I learned trq is not trustworthy nor reliable, but was low quality instead. Thanks for the life lesson trq!
Hey wait a minute why does it need the alignment shop for ? Did you remove a tie rod or something ? Everything you showed to me had nothing to do with the alignment unless I missed something ? Help me out here , am I wrong ?
When I replaced my new axle on my 99 suburban k1500. Front driverside. I here a light maybe clunk sound when I stop. And noticed my transaxle stub for that axle wiggles a little bit. Is that normal?
Is the outside Axel nut a 36mm(Someone mentioned a 35mm, Also what is the size of the inside bolts thread pitch and length mine have all fallen out. And I can't find any information online anywhere about the size thread pitch and length on those bolts thank you in advance
Axle nut (spindle nut) should be 36mm! Not sure on the bolts though. Might try an online parts manual. Usually there’s a diagram on there somewhere. Good luck!
I haven't o3 GMC Sierra with a 4-in lift and I can tell you it is a lot easier to back the bottom bolt off on the shock and just move the shock out of the way and you can remove and put the new axle in much easier than removing the sway bar link much easier
I purchased two CV axles and one was dislocated out of the box I bought on line and now I’m stuck with them due too no return policy and yes they are TRQ I did not buy them straight from TRQ but thought y’all should know be carful

Do you guys sell extended CV axles for lifted trucks I'm only seeing the standard ones on yalls site if so can you send me the link, (2003 silverado 1500 ext cab)because I can only find one set at Orileys and they're $350 a piece and I'm not trying to spend that!
@@BIGHEN_ Not at all. There would be no power going from the front diff to wheels meaning the bearings would be taking all the load. They'll blow out in an instant.
Hello I have a 2004 Silverado 1500 Lt/Z71. I had front done and driver side tire still shakes at any speed or turn to right what can it be. Spend $5000 for repairs etc. Doesn't shake if doing 65 and higher. Help
Sometimes, it's just two or more loose lug nuts causing heavy vibration. I drove an 02 Silverado home and was almost sure the front left bearing was toast. Turns out, it was 3 loose lug nuts. Torqued them down and it's been driving smooth since.
Did you learn anything listening to your followers? Provide why you mentioned an alighnment shop and what mm hardware socket size there gonna be needing .. otherwise bravo .
This is the third video that does not match what I have under the front end of my 2001 2WD Silverado 1500 ext cab..... There is no CV joint like this with two boots and there is nothing, i mean nothing... coming out of the inside of my wheel hub... just a smooth metal cap on the inside. I do have the piece in front of all that with the small boot toward the middle of the truck and the long end that hooks into the steering knuckle... That is it.... I am losing my freaking mind...

I like how you edit it out the hardest part at 1:55. Guess it just takes a little finagling to get it out of that tight spot
Excellent videos in my most humble opinion y’all should put the tools needed that’ll be being extra nice

On my 2005 4x4 crewcab, I had to remove the sway bar arm to have enough clearance to pull out the cv axle.

These jobs are never that easy. Yer like Superman
Beautiful video no nonsense straight to the point told me everything I needed to know perfect👌 thanks!
Very nice. No crap, just the facts. Excellent video!!!
Thanks for the video 😊
Does anyone know what size bolt is the axle nut bolt.

I did my front drivers side and now my tire wont freely spin when I tighten my axel nut, please what happened
Wish they had mentioned the size socket used for the axle nut, I'm about to find out if I have it or not...
Should be 32
Millimeter
Stop complaining and be grateful for what you got in this video

36mm for an 06
Question what product did you use to clean the bracket where the Axel is placed at?
Do you really need to get it aligned after?
I wonder if this is causing my vibration I haven't been able to pin point?
What did you clean it with?
What is the axle nut size on a 2004 Silverado 4 by 4
Are the axel nuts on the driver side reverse thread?

Just replaced my cv axle backing out of the driveway and it blew out didn’t even get 5 feet 07 gmc can I still use it
What did you end up doing?
My cap fell off new axel back of it will it affect it
Are these similar to GMC’s are? I have an 03 sierra
how is the cv axle changing the alignment?
It’s not he’s just part sales

What size bolts do i need for the cv axle bolts to the differential
Great video ' makes feel like I want to go out and buy a Tahoe or Burb ! 😄

Recorded horizontally😀👍
what size is that enormous axle nut?
what size socket was used to take off the axle nut ?
What size is the axle nut?
If the c/v axle was the only problem and the tires were not worn why should you go to an alignment shop? c/v joints have nothing to do with alignment.
Is this the same for a Chevy Tahoe?

@@TRQ ok thanks for the reply 👏🏽
@@TRQ quick question can you drive without the CV axles in??

Is an alignment really necessary? Honest question.
+Matt Toebbe Yes, we always recommend an alignment after replacing any front end parts.
No it is not, nothing in the suspension or steering has been removed, it's strictly a drivetrain component
What size is the axle nut
36 mm

Both of my axels were bad replaced 1 side 2 weeks later it broke again
Socket size would be nice
Axle nut (spindle nut) is 36mm socket!

Got dam that looks easy
Yeh and Pepe boys wants to charge 650.00 per side/
the alignment shop is what messed up my axle that's why i'm watching this so i won't be going there no more
Do you have to have the truck off the ground to change the axle?
Yes there won't be enough room to remove axle. Suspension needs to droop down a little
Just the front tho.
You forgot to put your washer back on!
+Afzal Damji Thanks for the feedback! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
155 pounds on the axle nut is wrong. Supposed to be 177 pounds
couple bonks, ima start saying that. lol
Torqued 👍🏼 😅😅
I don’t wanna explode my lug nuts
Remove the plastic center cap and that will explode. 😂

That’s because your truck is 2WD. Only 4x4s have cv axles.
There’s no cotter pin that goes through the CV nut axle
"Hand protection" wearing thin nitrile gloves lol
