    One year on, I’d love to know what alternate under bonnet battery Dan was talking about, can you let us know? I have the iTech cranking battery in my LC200 absolutely no problems after almost two years in - I am expecting to get at least six years out of my battery to make it viable, but impressed so far.

      That's awesome for the cranking battery! I've had no issues with my itechworld battery either under bonnet. I'll have to get back to you about what alternative Dan was referring too. If you email me at praod150.outahere@iinet.net.au

    Thanks for the video ! Itech is coping a lot of flack because it's called a 120x & only supplies 105ah. Other than that lot of people are happy with them. I didn't know they could be put under the bonnet. Cheers

    What battery tray do you have installed and whats the max size battery its rated for?

      Many years ago, when running the N70 AGM battery I bought this battery tray from EBAY. Although a bit of a tight squeeze the lithium has fitted in there quite comfortably. However though, Dan the mechanic from my videos can make a custom battery tray to fit. The issue with my current battery tray is the sides. However I have made do and it works perfectly, without any issues

      @@prado150outahere Did you get a bracket for the aircon hose. I hammered the stock bracket flat and put my AGM battery in. This itech one is 330mm. I am worried about bending the hose even more.

      ITECH WORLD have a 120X New edition Lithium battery, made for the Prado! Fits perfectly I've been told.

    Hows this battery going after a year?

    • @prado150outahere
      @prado150outahere  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Still going strong. I have since bought their newer model battery which fits better in the Prado and my son Joshua is using this one now in his BT50, which we connected to Itechworld's DCDC charger. The one now under bonnet in Prado also no issues.

    Did you need to bend/move a pipe out of the way?

    • @prado150outahere
      @prado150outahere  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, bit of a tighter fit, however no issues. Dan is a jack of all trades and does auto aircon as well as auto electrical! I was in good hands

    Lithium Batteries are great but If you install them in a Vehicle that's on the roadways the potential for a catastrophic fire or worse exists if that vehicle gets in a crash because Most New vehicles are made to crumble, Especially the engine compartment in order to save the people inside, in theory anyway. A Lead Acid battery would be less likely to set itself on fire after an impact.

    I don’t get your heading for this video! Are you saying don’t put a lithium battery under your bonnet?? Yet you did??WTF?

    • @prado150outahere
      @prado150outahere  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The full title is ....Until You See This. Most lithium batteries you can't install under bonnet. Not all guarantee under bonnet. And normally I wouldn't however after my research on this one I was then prepared to, and I take you through that journey and hopefully give out valuable information. Sorry for any confusion, thumbnail changed 👍
