Really need to look out for those big groups and move away if they are there first. I know you think they should consider others but I have gone on a lot of trips with friends on catch ups as we live in different cities for week long stays. We try to find spots where there are no people and 100's of Km's from anywhere. Someone always shows up late in the day in a single car looking for a good night sleep, I always tell them we are noisy and will be up to midnight so they have time to move to the other end of camp or I suggest other nice stops. 2am is a bit much and generators suck at anytime of the day

I was there first in my camp site, they came the 2nd night I was there. There is a limit I think when you are camping at public camp sites, no matter the size of your group. You still need to be considerate of others as well. If you want to party hard all night then why not go to private property someone out on a paddock, and they can go their hardest I think

Good reviews for us 150 Prado owners, so well done guys. We are looking at their new 2024 16ft Offroad Traveller, that’s just been released - principally because I will only tow tandem axle and the Agg Trailer Mass at just under 3 Tonne is just below Prado Tow limit. We also didn’t want the pop up hybrid because you lose overhead storage space. Did you get yours after the 12 month wait yet? How is it working out if you have it by now? How have Jayco treated you after purchase? Any warranty issues? The ONLY fault we can see with the new 16ft Off-road Traveller is the east west bed up front, being older (retired) we tend to have to get up to pee in the middle of the night, so waking the other partner every night might be an issue & reaching over to make a east west bed can be a PITA so we are told. Finding tandem axle vans within 3 tonne weight limit of a 150 Prado isn’t easy unfortunately.

Thanks mate appreciate your comments. Yeah we did the 12 month wait. We have found Jayco Camperland to be pretty good however as I'm in Toowoomba I mainly deal with Maks Caravans. Very happy with the van, few teething issues at first but covered under warranty.

Struth this is a good video BUT it could have been 50% shorter if you weren’t working on 2 different vehicles at the same time & also wandering off into story’s about a older model Prado with no relevance to the later 150 models etc. The info about fitting a trans cooler is valid & what you SHoULD have stuck to IMHO

Thank you so much for this idea. Just stubbled across your YT clips yesterday, and this one popped up today. We picked up our Crosstrak 2 months ago and I have been wondering how to clean the tanks. All the other YT Caravaners who have done tutorials on cleaning their tanks have the screw cap style filler on the side wall of the van. Easy for them. Well thanks to you, it is now easy for us - mixup the cleaner in a bucket, drop the little pump in, connect it to the reciever and in it goes.

Mick you must've been camping with the exact same f%^kers we did!!!! I was joking in your first ep of Barrington tops saying "I hope he doesn't get the idiots we had that night." And you did!!!😭😭😭😭 Michael & I had THE EXACT SAME experience at the same camp ground - pole blue. We went in winter hoping to catch snow. But all we caught was being mega pissed off and a headache from putting up with a*s holes like you did. I seriously reckon it was the same group of people! Young, drunk, blaring doof doof crap until nearly 3am. I now HATE pole blue for that reason! I'm traumatised and tell people not to touch that campsite with a 10 foot pole. I've never enjoyed camping in caravan parks or busy places for this reason. It's why the Simpson desert was so magical - you're literally hundreds of ks away from anyone. Absolute bliss!😍😍 It's just so rude and disrespectful to behave like that at a shared campground. I'm with you Mick, if you're gonna act like that, go to a private property.

Had a shocker at the Byfield National Park where the P platers turned up from Rocky on a Friday night at 8pm right next door and hit the rum, blasting the music and chopping down trees at 2am in the morning yelling out and carrying on chucking chairs on the fire etc. They made a mess of the National Park drop toilet and left the tap running I could go on and on and on. The sucky thing was they didn’t even have a permit to camp on that site and woke up at 5am and started again. Tip!!! don’t camp on a Friday Saturday night at Byfield National Park it’s a P plater weekend get away.

Great clip and beautiful spot mate. Yes sadly there are some very inconsiderate a’holes in this world. This is why camp stay farm type camping is becoming more popular, because the idiots can be controlled or kicked out. NP don’t care, they take your booking fee and then you’re on your own. I camped recently in a national park and had bogans nearby letting off fireworks, collecting firewood and then on the day of packing up, had their big dog out running around everywhere 🤦‍♂️ none of which is allowed. Not too mention loud music and yelling all night long. Believe it or not, I go camping to get away from noise, not to be closer to it. This very reason is why I’m loving animals more and people less 🤣 Generators are permitted in national parks with certain conditions and they shouldn’t be run into the early hours of the morning, nor should loud music. The profanities, there’s no excuse - use your inside voice if you want to talk filth. These sorts of knuckle dragging Neanderthals are who get the rest of us locked out of beautiful camp sites … but then they’re the first to whinge they have nowhere to go and camp and “have a good time”. Sure, have your fun but. Or at the expense of other quiet peaceful considerate campers. Sure, you can go over and politely ask them to turn the music down a little bit however that sometimes can just spur on even more stupidity too if they’re that way inclined. Anyway, safe travels mate and new subscriber 👍🇦🇺

      @prado150outahere 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

Thanks for the subscribe, really appreciate it. Thanks for you comments too. And you're right, these types of people get us locked out of the campsites. Just seen more of this type of behaviour camping at 5 rocks recently (more on that on a later video). These types of people / campers if you'd call them that belong down some private paddock away from everyone else where they can have 'their fun' and not disturb anyone else

Hi mate I definitely feel for you there is nothing worse than having people like this next to you .we had two experiences we will never forget both in Tasmania seperate trips we love the place and most are welcoming friendly people but one instance at cockle creek where 5 local redneck families had music pumping generators going all night profanities till 3am they had a bulldog unleashed that tried to get our dog twice that night knocked all our camping table over had to literally throw the dog in the car before it latched on I took it back into there camp and the fella minus a few teeth just kicked it in the head while not spilling his beer no apologies I was feeling something could escalate so I didn’t say a word lovely people even the ranger said he didn’t want to confront them in the morning .when they left it was like the Dakar rally burnouts in the sand cars going all over as they left then complete serenity 😂 Second one was a beautiful farm stay in Launceston when at two in the morning the drunken neighbours came to terrorise us campers in there farm truck with no exhaust they did constant doughnuts on an off for two hours yelling out wake up campers and profanities it was the angriest I have ever been my wife had to talk me down as I nearly went down to there level so glad I didn’t but how people can be so foul boggles the mind Anyway love all your content mate your doing a great job

Cancer cream? Try eliminating seed oils (Canola oil etc) from your diet. You'll be amazed how many supermarket product's (upward of 80%) have that crap shoehorned in. Cancer wasn't around before "Canadian oil low acid aka canola oil)

Hi mate, how did it go after years of using the aftermarket LCA? Mine is due for changing as well, just doing some research which is the best one aftermarket. Genuine cost a second mortgage.

It's great mate. No issues at all. Certainly have done a few kms since installation. Very happy with it

Yeah, not sure. Dan gets them from a wholesaler in Melbourne who supplies many companies. I think it cuts out the middle man so to speak. Dan has used them for a long time with no issues, and I'm very happy with mine.

Love the cold weather, 2 weeks ago down at KNP it fell to -8 degrees. Swag and a -8 doona and -2 sleeping bag did the trick. May have to look at walls for the Darche 270 to protect from the wind…great stuff doing it solo. Electric blanket is a real bonus

That's the way to go mate. Yeah I'd definitely recommend the walls. Wow -8 hey. That'd be cold! Might need heated gloves as well! 😃

I like your set-up. The obvious con is if you are on the move daily, or you want to explore, you then have to pack everything up. You are like me - I hate the cold….and I live and camp in Victoria! Sorry if I have missed in one of your previous posts, what tyres do you run ? I have a 2019 GX Prado and coming due for new tyres, so always interested in what others use. Cheers

I have the Toyos Open Country R/Ts. These are my second set. Although not cheap I have had great experience with them. 1st set been to Cape York and on my current set over to WA from Toowoomba, no punctures and these tyres have seen a range of pressures from about 8psi to 38 psi constantly.

So a country bloke traveling, can't throw his swag next to his ute, at an agricultural showgrounds camp ground. Or a couple travelling with a rooftop tent can't stay a couple of days. Yet loaded grey nomads with expensive vans can bring their annoying dogs and stay as long as they like !!! How absolutely typically Toowoomba !!! Rules to punish the masses, so as to control a minority of trouble makers.
