    I don’t often see non Asians eating here. That’s a sign this place is really good!

    This was exactly what I was looking for- I was looking for a hotpot spot and wasn’t sure how things were being done during COVID. Thank you so much. Will be going there Peter today.

      You’re very welcome! Let me know what you think after you go! Hope you enjoy it! I went again last weekend and they’re doing the dancing noodle performance again so recommend that if you like noodles!

    my friend and I stumbled across one in southern OC. We were going to a different place in the same plaza, but our initial place was closed. We walked around the plaza and saw this place. We thought hot pot sounded good, and it was the perfect birthday dinner for me! The service was awesome!!!

      That's so awesome! You couldn't have found a better place as a back up for your birthday dinner! The service at Hai Di Lao is legendary and I've never been to a location that had poor service!

    well..Haidilao in China is pretty much the king of hot pot. Not because of its food quality but of the first class service. If you want to try the combination of authentic Chinese hot pot and high level of service quality. Haidilao should be the only one in the world. Fun facts: on social media, people always make fun of Haidilao by asking waiters strange questions as they always respond to you in a friendly and positive way.

      Totally agree with you on the quality of service! It was my favorite hot pot restaurant whenever I lived in China and every time I went back since then! I think the food is good too, the quality always seemed higher than average. Didn’t know about the social media craze. Doesn’t surprise me as every interaction I’ve had with the staff there has been super positive!

    I'm from Singapore and there is also haidilao here! At least in Singapore there are some secret codes which are spoken in chinese, once spoken you can actually get some free things like cute toy wands or free fruit.

      That’s so awesome! I used to visit haidilao a lot when I lived in Shanghai. I’m glad you have it in Singapore too! I wonder if those secret codes would work here? What are they??

      So, you know that there are surveillance cameras set up and the videos and images are being sent back to head office in China?

    Hi I'm Earle, an expat in Beijing. That's my go to hot pot restaurant every weekend and it's open 24/7 here in Chaoyang District. It's perfect after watching a last full show movie.

      Hi Earle, thanks for the comment and welcome to the channel! I loved Haidilao when I lived in China too! It wasn’t around when I lived in Beijing though (only when I moved to Shanghai). I miss Beijing! I lived in XiZhiMen Nei.

      @@TheWorldAccordingtoJason Thank you too sir Jason, your name is the name of the company where i work in Changping, border of Chaoyang, it's called Jason English or Jiesen English. Xizhimen district is beautiful and an expensive district to live in, our line 13 subway always stops in Xizhimen hub station. Come back to Beijing, let's get together. I also did some amateur vlogging at the Wangfujing and Nanluoguxiang Hutong but i only posted them on my FaceBook, thanks very much for your reply Sir Jason. Cheers! Xinnien Kuaile!

      Yeah it’s been many years since I lived in Beijing so I’m sure the prices there are much more expensive than when I was there! That’s a funny coincidence about your company sharing my name :) it would be great to do a collaboration next time I get to Beijing! I miss being over there so much!

    So good we can finally buy the haidilao sauces here in Germany. The only Europe branch is in London the food was fantastic there but the service and little gimmicks are best in China...

    • @TheWorldAccordingtoJason
      @TheWorldAccordingtoJason  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Woohoo!! That’s a step in the right direction! They only have one branch for all of Europe?? How long has that one been around? Maybe they are just starting to expand to Europe? Agree with the gimmicks being better in China but the service at the one in Queens rivaled that in China!

      @@TheWorldAccordingtoJason the one in London opened right before the whole pandemic started in Feb 2019. I would def try the one in NY when I get a chance to get there. I just made the hot pot at home because I saw your video haha. The broth concentrate they sell here tastes exactly as in the restaurants.

    • @TheWorldAccordingtoJason
      @TheWorldAccordingtoJason  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah ok, I'm sure the pandemic paused any plans they might have had! Hopefully they'll keep growing over there and bring some locations to Germany! You definitely should try the one in NY when you come and that's great to know that the broth tastes the same! I've always been impressed by their quality!

      That would be very interesting! The slightly sweet flavor of the bun with the mala broth! Have you tried it before? I'll give it a shot on my next visit for sure!
