I am thinking of doing a power supply project with bluetop for mostly electrical musical instruments. Why AC charged DC to be convert to AC again? Portability, prevention of power overheat/old home is not grounded. What should I use?
I have 2 red tops they are at 10.65 volts after a full 3 days charging. I followed your video and others to connect it to a regular battery in parelle and then slow chargeand when they both reached about 15 volts place then on trickle chagre for a day or so. After i disconnect the batterys they drop back to 10.65 again. My yellow top reads F05, but does hold the charge when parelle to my stereo system using another yellow top. To say in short i purchased another Schumacher XC75 to make sure that it was working correctly, and I got the same results. So I'm guessing that none of these batteries are going to ever hold a charge again. On a good note. I purchased a redtop back in 1996 and it is still holding a 15 volt charge, now a second battery in my truck with an isolator on my stereo system. These batteries are great, still love them. I wish i could get these three to work, what do you think?
My battery is a single one used for an hds touch9, hds 10, and a point 1 and on occasion I use it for a second trolling motor what battery is go to use all day with my electronics that won't die on me this one is not hooked up to the motor so it won't recharge thanks great video
a new 242 dollar battery dead as a doornail out of the box-then ordered an optima charger it didn't work either-called mary-jo in warranty she was very nasty-it took two weeks to get the situation resolver- she was very rude and purposely delayed the replacement
I furiously disagree. One of my $250 optima batteries just died after 25 months, one month after warranty expired. No pro rate, just two years. I could but two or three conventional batteries for that price. And don't fall for their free charger deal, I sent in the paperwork six months ago, still waiting.
This Bluetop, is a hybrid battery, which has softer lead plates in comparison to a true deep cycle battery. Optima, made by Interstate batteries, does not make a true deep cycle battery. If you deeply discharge this battery, below 80%, do not expect it to last as long as a true deep cycle, such as a Trojan deep cycle battery. AGM is hardly a selling point, seeing as all premium starter/hybrid batteries are AGM batteries. Optimas do gas in an overcharge condition. This is a salesmen, reading product description, near verbatim.

Trojan is one of the best/durable SLA batteries. Its common new and used in solar applications. Ofcourse lithium iron can take a true deep discharge.
would this be the best for solar power...?

I cannot find a tray with strap for the life of me. What size is that. Where can I find it?

He stated they gas when over charged ..soo...
5x faster recharging is total B.S. It seems like this guy us either lying or just doesn't know anything!!!
This was a waste of time. You should be focused on how the batteries are connected for the user needs. dual battery installation
