My Napa legends lasted about 4 years. Batteries definitely are not what they used to be. Back in the 90s I could get 6-7 years.

Thanks for choosing OPTIMA Batteries! You mentioned you don't know which battery went bad, but never mentioned what the voltage was of either battery or whether you had either battery load-tested, to determine if either one had actually reached the end of their useful lifespan. Fully-charged, those batteries will measure about 13.0-13.2 volts. Any time any lead-acid battery is discharged below 12.4 volts and is left sitting in that state, sulfation begins forming in the plates, which does diminish both capacity and lifespan. That makes periodic use of a quality battery maintenance device an excellent idea.
Any professional retailer can load-test those batteries for you, to tell you exactly how they are performing, compared to their ratings and whether or not they need to be replaced. Most will do it free of charge. The most-accurate testing is done after an attempt has been made to fully-charge the batteries.

I miss my Odyssey AGM but I had it for 4 almost 5 years no issue. I replaced it with an Interstate from Costco and im slightly regretting that a year later. I think next year ill go back to an AGM

Odyssey is a good one. Interstate also has an agm battery. I was thinking about trying those.

WOW - very disappointing! I'll never get optima again. I get my batteries @ Costco and sometimes Sams. They last way longer than your optima's. I had yellow tops about 20-25 years ago in a snow plow rig and they were great. I abused the crap out of them. Now optima's suck. I run the most CCA in everything I own... 03 Dodge Cummins, wife car, tractors, etc.

Your engine was cold with the optima’s and at running temp when you started with Everstart, you forgot to not show your dash that before you said “much better”. Be straight up. BTW, I started running Everstart in just about everything 5 years ago including my Tractor that sits all winter long, they work very well.

Optima batteries have become junk! That was all I ran in everything I owned. Used to get 6 years or so from a set. Had a couple even make 10 years! Then they sale out to another company and price goes through the roof and can barely make 2 or 3 years! I went over to duracell agm batteries and have had decent luck with them and cost no where what optimas do.
