Ball joint inspection are they loose or not? How to inspect LSA suspension

Checking ball joints isn’t always as simple as supporting the vehicle off the ground and shaking it down especially on LSA long and short arm suspension. This type is found on just about any muscle car and several pickup trucks plus several others. It matters how you inspect it and I will show you why.

That entire front suspension was a mess. We replaced everything. Control arm bushings too.
