    Quite apart from the fact that Fred was extremely knowledgeable and expert in a number of fields I believe his greatest achievement was in showing us how to live a full and satisfying life with passion and humour - that's something the world seems to have forgotten how to do.

    To see him here and then to see him later in the BBC documentaries, it's hard to believe its the same man.

    Top bloke👍 proper English Northerner🇬🇧 I like it when all the kids are just sat at the back of the steam engine--no health and safety there🙀

    It's crazy that when Fred died he didn't leave any money to any of his wife's all his estate went to his kids.

    You have to stop every 7-8 mile to fill up with water or it potentially becomes a bomb

      isnt it the water/steam pressure that makes it a bumb? when you run out of water, you run out of steam you see
