This boat, out of the box, is slooooow. The Recoil 17 can do circles around it with ease...even if the Recoil 17 is at 75%.

Wish it could fit the batt. from the deep V, half hour runtime easy.the deep V looks to be soldout.The cat handles better but the Deep V has better batt. motor etc. thanks for all the quality & easy to understand videos you are the best
Yeah, the battery compartment is the one bummer with this boat, with how small and limited the space is. This boat would really rip with a LiPo!

i put a vxl 3m brushless motor in my miss geico 17" and it rips at 30-35 mph

Congratulations! How has the boat performed? what are the pros and cons? Does water enter you? the esc gets very hot? tell us what your wise opinion is! greetings from Mexico! (I'm new to boats) and I would like this boat! or Chinese ub (but I think the stock electronics of the Chinese) is of very low quality
It's been a great boat so far with no leaking. The battery size is very specific, so you are limited to the Dynamite battery included. But it's been great, like we mentioned in the video.

that's what i did, 2s and it works great, gives her a little more kick, but honestly a brushless from a recoil 17 would have been the crown gem in this boat. i don't run her anymore because too slow to be fun.
How do I get the charger to connect to my phone
Dude how do you guys not get water into the mistake about with the hood because I have to take mine down because the first time I ever used it I got water and do it because I backed it up
The water is coming through the hatch? I don't quite understand. We did have one instance of water getting inside because the outlet tube sent inside the shell, as mentioned in the video.

Has anyone had issues with motors burning out? The boat looks great but I have had 2 motors die on me!
Except for the connector, the battery looks like an old school Losi Mini-T battery. Bummer about it being Nimad only as I have a good Lipo battery from my old Mini-T.

Is it possible to add a 2000 mag battery or lipo?
Battery space is very limited, so any other battery used, must be the same size as the stock battery. We were not able to fit any other battery. And the ESC is not LiPo compatible if I remember correctly. Sorry.

I upgraded the ESC now im using 1500mah 2s Lipo batteries works great.

How long is the charging time of the battery?
If you use the included charger, it's about 12 hours. If you use a NiMH fast charger, it would be about 30-45 minutes.

What happens when boats die? Do they hit a Lvc type and let you drive it back?
With the NiMh battery, power will noticeably fade towards the end of the pack, indicating it's time to drive home. With a LiPo enabled boat, I'm guessing the cutoff continues to provide 5-10% power for a couple minutes to allow you to return. NiMH's can be drained down to 0%; a LiPo can't do that. Hope this helps!

Nobody should drive an rc boat unless it has lipo power. So replace the stock electronics of this boat asap. That being said, after a noticeable 75% (little more or less) loss of power... that's your lipo shut off but it still gives you enuff juice to get to shore. I also usually bring a fishing pole with a tennis ball or something similar instead of a hook to the lake. Just in case other issues occur that WILL cause the boat to get stranded out in the water... then I'm able to cast out and if I get lucky, reel it in.

Hmm, maybe the battery wasn't fully charged? Please also ensure the throttle limiter switch on the transmitter is set to 100.

@@AMain_Hobbies set to 100 and I ran the small battery in my Proboat Stealthwake 23 no problem enough power for a few passes,it working now,NiMh do not have low power cut off like a lipo,or it had to be rebound
Also on my M-41 widebody its only has roughly.
An hour runtime on 4s,the problem is there’s a 3 to 4 second delay before it opens to full throttle,I was thinking about buying the Spartan but if this one is acting up after an hour ,not sure if I want to support Traxxas ,Thankyou Brett
Do they make a better engine for this gieco 17 inch this thing gets hot as well as the battery,to hot to hold your hand on it for very long

No, I don't think so. I double checked the manual and it doesn't mention LiPo use at all.

In today's day and age, why do they run a brushed set up? Would be better to buy the ft011 or ft012, it is cheaper and much faster. I know you get what you pay for however the price of this is ridiculous compared to most other things on the market. Sell just the hull, that would be awesome
Also thought that too, I think it’s a marketing thing. I want that hull and I’m willing to pay for it just sucks I’ll have a waste of a brushed set up.

Shoot, i'm not sure. I supposed to you could try to upgrade it as long as you can keep the electronics cool. The space inside is pretty tight, that's why you have to use the included NiMH pack, because of it's particular size.

AA battery or even AAA battery all over yes easy to upgrade to drone lipo battery.
Can we sail to the salt water?
It's best not too as salt water is pretty corrosive, but if you do, be sure to rinse off the boat really well with clean fresh water and dry it off, and you should be ok. The day you don't rinse and dry, you'll have issues.

Good for kids I guess, as the speed of this boat is laughable. Needs a brushless 4000kv motor with a 90A 2-6s esc, then run that thing on a 3s lipo and it will actually be fun.
