Please welcome Ricki Hoffman to the channel, a solo traveler with a dog. Her custom Ford transit all-wheel-drive camper van was built out by a van builder local to her. This van features everything there’s so much thought and Detail that went into her design and her builder brought it to reality. She is now on a full-time trip traveling the United States of America, just heard a dog, full-time, and working from the road.

Also, I totally agree with the no propane build and allowing a huge battery bank to handle all the loads (induction cooktop/air fryer). Good choice with human waste management in getting the Laveo Dry-Flush toilet. Had mine for about 2 months now and it is a game changer; about $1.68 per flush on 3-pak purchase cassettes. Having a dual internet access system (StarLink and cellular) setup is key - always will have connectivity w/ great speed and low latency.

I am sorry for your loss. You did great! Explaining the whole Van. You had a great vision for what you wanted in your Van. Smart young Lady. I love how you did not skimp on pots, pans , accessories. The fridge and freezer - that is important. Then a real vacuum. Amazing!

That is a marvelous van with a wonderful layout congratulations.

Great van , but I would say it cost a lot of money to have it build , with all the extras, it seems to have everything anyone could want.

Wow! Probably the best RV tour I have ever seen! Love the knowledge of no propane (hydronic). Think the new Revel is built that way and we should expect that in new EKKOs. Love the 2 flip up desk/table areas. How much hot water for shower do you have? Love big freezer with carnivore you need just MEAT! I can not think of a thing you do not have! Any regrets? What prebuilt comes closest to your build? Congrats!!
I’m inclined to want Murphy bed for openness in back. VanDoIt like. Storyteller beds can flip
I do love the EKKO and if i didn't do custom that's what I would have gotten. I have on demand hot water with 30g of fresh water.
Ricki could sell anything. Surprised she is not working for an RV manufacturing co or a DIY. Maybe she is.

I was looking for the comment with somebody commented on where’d you get the money for this? This thing‘s gotta be over 200 K and go from living in a car and meeting some dude in the woods that that invite you in his van to this masterpiece of a vanwith no job but social media job is either made up or dad left you a ton of money

I’ve searched through quite a bit of the comments looking for the name of the local Colorado builder but didn’t see it. This is an awesome build. I like that you thought of lots of safety factors with being a solo woman in mind. Very important. Thanks for sharing.

All awesome but I’d want 3 x the amount of solar🎉and I would ditch the shower honestly… been backcountrying in my Promaster on 3 years now. Having 1Kw of solar and 500ah of battery was the best upgrade.

Many years down the road, a similar build to yours is what I will likely do. I am happier in my minivan for my part time travels right now.
