What a Masterpiece. I watch a lot of Channels on TH-cam,never have I ever seen an Ambulance built out like this one. Absolutely Stunning. You need to be a Designer for one of these Huge Companies that builds RV's. You are that Good. Patrick make sure you forward this message to Him Please. Stunning. Loved it. The Best on TH-cam this Far. Keep building.
I was in the conservation corps in 1980 and we did community service jobs etc. but we also were a fire hand crew. We kept our regular tools on one side and the sharp fire tools on the other. (chain saws, pulaski, brush hook, double bit axe and McLeoud rakes) for a crew of 12. the ones with tinted windows were for the convict crews. The old bus we had We used one season then got one like this in the fall.
This is something else. Love he tried to get the best option in every system. Is a ahame I can't afford it no matter how reasonably priced it could be. I'll definetly camp the heck out of it. 110 gals of water and no black tank, dammmnn.
An impressive build indeed. The truck is so solid, and well built. Well done, Matt! Your engineering skills shine throughout. A very enjoyable tour, thank you, Patrick & Matt.
Won't you miss this fantastic truck ? I'm 1 meter under twelve , so this truck would be perfect for me, if I didn't live on the other side of the Atlantic ! You are some kind of poet ! Whoever buys it will be very lucky ! 😍😍😍 Good luck for this new chapter of a life that I wish you long and happy!
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures No, not all versions have the option, and it is getting harder and hard to know which controllers have it and which don't. The "red LCD" version is usually a sure bet. On your controller if you can get into the advanced settings menu with the pin code '1688' you may be able to adjust the air and fuel to compensate for a higher altitude so it is not so finicky. You would need to increase the fan speed by a tiny bit, or decrease the fuel rate a tiny bit, either one would probably get it running again in lieu of proper "high altitude mode". I live full time in my trailer in Alberta, Canada at ~3800 feet ASL and I did have to adjust mine, it ran for 4 months straight and kept me alive.
I now have an Afterburner controller from Ray Jones so I can integrate the diesel heater into Home Assistant which is running a lot of stuff in my trailer, it has a barometric sensor so it can adjust for altitude automatically. It is a somewhat expensive option but I stand behind that product 100%.
Very nice. I like the setup but I think I would rather like the shower inside instead of outside. I's also like more privacy with the composting toilet.
I like ambulance conversion builds. I have driven a 26' International box truck for work. Recently I have been watching videos on van builds and Patrick you have the best. My preference would be a class B,van or small c,B+. The reasons why I prefer those are; it has a smooth somewhat quiet ride and the mpg. There are 2 fuel tanks on that ambulance truck. I think about 50 gallons each. Don't want to think about the mpg and cost.
Yup, I wouldn't want to stay at that spot for long because of the smell. What about the next person coming in? However, there are some people with this set up who put a bucket under the drain and dispose else where. That should work!
Well done. The quality and attention to detail in your build is phenomenal. Better than most builds ive ever seen and trust me, ive been watching videos for about 10 years on DIY tiny homes on wheels, custom built camper vans, bread trucks, cargo trucks and quirky builds in things the average person would NEVER think of building into a camper. Your over-engineering the systems is something most people wouldnt think of. Leaving room for future growth off the sistems is pretty forward thinking, since most builds ive seen have their systems squashed into hard to get to spaces without space to add for future upgrades. I'm very impressed with the whole design, inside and outside using the spaces in a well thought out design yet capable of future additions, thats pretty awesome. wish you well in your next adventure/endeavor for your future, HOWEVER with the engineering background you have I think you'd do very well engineering custom handicapped accessible units or simply developing plans for someone to do a DIY build on their own as a side hustle to your new endeavors. I truly wish you well in selling this beautiful campulance. It's going to make the new owners very happy they purchased it. Happy trails and safe travels to you!
He did a nice build with that old truck. Really impressive. People should always use chocks when parked, never trust your brakes, even air brakes fail as I’ve seen it happen, but I had used my chocks. Those are nice ones too! Glad he was able to sell it.
Patrick you have more patience than me. Dude can take a 10 minute story and talk for an hour. And, that 1200 watt inverter business is not enough. I do not believe he's running everything and the a/c with that inverter. These people tell you all that not knowing you know all about that stuff. Good job Patrick.
Very nice. I'd like to see builds in mini-busses; I once saw one years ago that was a "girl home" and it was absolutely gorgeous - soft pastel colors, lots of plants and fluff ....
FYI the T444E is the same as the 7.3L Powerstroke. They are well known for durability and longevity they can easily see 500,000 miles. It comes down to keeping up on maintenance. I encourage you to do your research. It doesn't take a lot to get higher performance out of your rig.
I'm sad to see it's already been sold. I'm retiring this year and widowed, so it would've been the perfect home on wheels to chase the sun and visit people around the lower 48. You have a great build, and your aesthetics are fantastic, Matt. Good luck with the new chapter and wherever life takes you from here. 🥰
Don't take this the wrong way, but you are the Ultimate Conversion Nerd. (And we all know how important to society nerds have become! (Thanks for the extra information about the Chinese diesel heater that most of us have thought about using.) I think "overkill" is a weak adjective for what you have done.
Very nice build. Only thing i would change is an access from the back to the driver's seat. Just in case you find yourself in a situation where it's unsafe for you to go outside to be able to leave.
I don’t understand the negative comments about his verbiage or construction choices. The amount of time that it takes to post something positive about this young man’s accomplishment is the same as it takes to run him down! Advice and insults are completely different things. I challenge all the “Debbie Downers” to post their builds so that way can learn the “proper” way to do things ! 🤷🏾♂️
I did the pee straight to the ground thing....not a good idea. If you're somewhere for a few days the smell at your camp stinksnot to mention if you're at a Walmart parking lot or eest area overnight. Putting a bucket under it sucks too. I had a friend install a blue 7 gallon water jug from Walmart underneath, drill a hole for the hose to go in tight to seal, and that holds the urine until you can dump it.
Have you sold this masterpiece? I would say I'd buy it (on the premise that you didn't change your mind after you had the "paint" sprayed on the body) except for 4 things: I don't want a propane stove (because I've seen it's illegal to have propane in at least some tunnels), I have to have a pass-thru between the cabin and the living area, I can no longer drive stick shift, and I haven't gotten my inheritence yet (from when my "rich uncle" died a couple of months ago). I love the toilet. I am perhaps even more anxious not to have a black tank than I am not to have propane anything. Thank you. Great tour!!!!!
Freaking WOW! What a beautiful, very fancy, high-quality build! 😮 And selling it at a loss is beyond amazing in this land of greed! How refreshing! Brightest Blessings of Healing Love and Light surround you throughout your new ventures!
I like it I would only have the bed in the back so I would have to put a door on the side n leave the bck door to have a pull out under the bed. I would also have an opening to the cab so when I’m parked I don’t have to get out the truck n just climb on bck. Deeper sink in the middle take out the toilet I’ll jus shiii outside 😂… love the shower outside tho
It's not that you need to do all this work at a 100000 miles it's because the truck' sat a lot If you use those engine on a regular basis they're very reliable. A tank will never rust out if you're constantly filling it up.
This guy is a natural salesman. He could sell ice to Eskimos. Get this guy a job at colonial airstream stat. he’ll have every boomer walking out of there with a fancy travel trailer.
Amazing work! Not a fan of stick shift because I'm not that good at it. If I may ask, What type of business are you starting? You would do a good business building for others.
Wow, this guy is doing it right! The only thing I would add is a moon roof so I can climb up from the inside. :)
Perfection..

Really high quality conversion. Glad he got his price! Thank you both for the tour!

Absolutely
FYI the Chinese deisel heater quit on you because you were at altitude. There is a special setting in the digital controls when at higher altitudes :)
Yup...Chinese deisel heaters are fine if installed correctly, and adjust for altitude.
Did the earlier versions have this?

That rig is beautiful!! I love the paint job, just my favorite color.
Same here!
$97,500 was a great price for a project of this high quality!
Bathing "Al-Denti"...🤣🤣
“A la dente”. Is that a loose translation of teeth chattering while showering outside?

Its absolutely Beautiful love the Colors n The Build itself . He seems like a amazing guy also . Safe Travels Always. God Bless Ya'll 💙💙LOVE IT !!
Very nice! Definitely a prep vehicle...love the off road off grid vehicle
Lost me right at the end when he says the pee goes right outside onto the ground. Seems like there's a better way.

I would have a portable composting toilet. Thats just me. So good to see.
Great Build! Matt did a wonderful and thoughtful job on it! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!

Curious to know what he's asking for this thing. It's a very small, confined interior space.
Sorry meant to say what is the legal process and the cost you were converting a box truck or ambulance or of such into an RV
