Well that's too bad. There are a few more pretty good reactions to this you've missed but it's understandable since some were uploaded earlier in the afternoon.
Yeah Joker is a good enough fit in Smash given the variety of fighters in the game.
Also Joker does open many possible fighters at this point since this really does prove that ANY 3rd party character has a chance. I've got a feeling they'll go out of their way to continue to surprise us for at least 3/4. I say that because I just have this feeling we're bound to get one reveal that'll make a number of us feel the exact same way we did when Isabelle was revealed. Or even how we felt during the reveal for... Piranha Plant.

This is why Smash is so hype. The literal premise was hype. The characters revealed added, and world of light sealed the deal. Then the night before the release Sakuri's just like, Btw here's Joker form Persona 5
Swag Cookies also the fact that they TOOK OUT the Nintendo switch click just to add to the hype. Like, that's how you build a trailer to a reveal.

@@jamesherce1333 It's a 90+ hours story heavy game.. But trust me when I tell you that the time investment will be worth it.. You should play it when you have the winter brake from school.. It's my favorite game of all time and it could be one of yours too

I've been watching people's reactions to different trailers, especially since we're now at the end, but I feel like Joker was a great way to start it. Definitely unexpected and I can't believe he's actually in Smash! Back then, I was only just getting into Persona, but now I'm a big Persona fan! Especially the music! 🎶

lol. persona 5 only sold lile 2million. smash 4 (both versions) over 20 million so if ultimate follows the same path most people will not even know what the heck persona is
@@plshelp Smash is a crossover, so obviously it will sell more.. people buy because of mario, zelda and all the famous characters.. without them smash wouldn't even exist or it would exist and have original characters but the no one would care about it

Smash can generate hype no matter who’s getting added,
whether everyone knows that it’s about Smash but doesn’t know who the fighter is,
or the other way around (in Joker’s case).
It’s so enjoyable to see everyone so happy to see their favourite franchise come to smash

I saw the Game Awards live. I had never played a Persona game (except the first 20 minutes of P1 on the ps4, side note I now have played persona 5) but when i saw Joker and the E10 and up logo i got confused because all i knew about it was that its rated M. So when he started running I said (very sleep deprived) "Oh, i bet he's in smash." Needless to say i felt like i could give out *accurate* tarrot cards.
