    I lost track of how many times I searched Google for this and was met with article after article explaining what it is instead of just doing what you did here - show me the giant hole in the back of the wheel... 😂

    Wheel center rings work really nice with the nissan versa sv because the car shakes and breaks squeak alot and it's really ruff but after I put them wheel center rings on it made it reap smooth so anybody with a nissan versa sv get them wheel center rings you won't regret it

    I’ve been trying to figure where my steering wheel vibrating was coming from while on freeway. All suspension is fine. Alignment is fine. Just realized today I’m missing all the wheel centering rings.

    Ive heard a lot of drivers who experienced wheel wobble while driving fast on a hiway because after market rims. So for me hub centric rings is very important. Not going to take the risk.

      I don't think you mean wobble (side-to-side)? A hubring wouldn't prevent that anyway.

      My rings in mh rsx just went and thats what causes the wobbling, they don't allow the tire to sit correctly

      Does nothing once the lugs are tightened. Just hand tighten in a star pattern with the wheel off the ground. Torque to spec with the wheel down - go slow in a star pattern again.

    Not necessary. Hand tighten in a star pattern with the wheels off the ground. Lower and torque to spec with wheels down - go slow and tighten in a star pattern again. The cone lugs will center the wheels if done correctly.

      Yep, you are exactly right. In fact, there are tons of race cars out there using aftermarket wheels that do not match their hubs and they also do not use hub rings. You can find articles written about it in tons of magazines. It’s a myth that you have to use hub rings, although they are handy and helpful.conical Lugnuts do the job especially when Tightened properly in a star pattern. Thank you for your response.

    i just got a pair of bbs for my k11 micra they'll tighten properly but driving at like 30 all i hear is dudududu the wheels are wobbling and they've been balanced recently so im going to try this thank you

    With all my experience gained from aftermarket installation in my cars, you Do need Hub rings if you are a spirited driver. And Hub Centric ring might be skipped by most aftermarket alloy wheels installers it should be mandate to use hub rings because it definitely distrubutes load to the hub instead of directly to the lugs moreover those who have searched for hub rings definitely getting vibration in there steering wheel going over 100Km/h.

    I just changed out 3 wheel studs because I accidentally stripped them when putting on a tire that had a way bigger center bore. This vehicle also has a wobble at 110 so gonna try and pop these babies on and see if it fixes! 4 For $13.50, I think it's worth it.

    I have never used them on my wheeels if you tighten lugs correctly in star pattern you have no issues you really think that little peace plastic supports car your out mind

    Even tho the hub ring apparently doesn't support the weight of the vehicle (ofcourse it doesn't with plastic) I still feel better having aluminium hub rings fitted anyway.

    O my, so you don't need those Hubcentric Rings for original wheels (my car is 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier). I received new front Hub-bearing assembly, and they came w/additional parts ( now I know they are Hubcentric rings). I thought those additional parts are some king of seals for the bearing-hub assembly, and couldn't find out how to put them together. Thank you so much, now I know for sure
    what those mystical objects are. There are also 2 rubber rings, where do they go if you need to use those Hubcentric rings? Just to know. Thank you for the film again.

    Realistically and wheel that uses conical style lug nuts has no use for a hub ring. The lugs will center the wheel properly when tightened in the proper sequence. The taper of the lug nuts leaves no where for the wheel to go other than directly in the center. Only some weird cars that use wheel bolts or funky lugs that are flat or use washers ever need hub rings.

    The only thing hubrings do is assist you with centering the wheel. Once you put your Lugnuts in, they take over with the studs hub rings are not necessary for alloy wheels as long as you are careful as you tighten your wheel down in a star pattern and assuming you’re using cone Lugnuts Which most cars use except for Audi and Volkswagon, and some other brands. But once again as long as you’re careful with your tightening, they are not necessary, but they are helpful.

    Put some aftermarket wheels on your car that have a larger hub bore without hub rings and drive it around for a few weeks of highway driving and a gravel road several times a day and let me know what you think

      Correct me if I'm wrong but, Isn't that why you're supposed to re torque the rims after 5k miles? I mean that's how I've been told by my parents and grand parents to do this 110tq 5k then 120tq. And I've never had a problem I do have a 6x139.7 with a 108 bore running aftermarket rims 20x9 with a 106.2mm bore so I have to rely on Lug centric and not hub centric since no one will fabricate 108.0mm to 106mm hub centric spacers and my only real option would be to machine the rims bore to 108.0mm and thats a risk I'm not willing to take (rims where way too expensive) 🤣

      I had problems almost immediately after I had mine put on and went back for hub rings the following week and it helped the vibration tremendously. If I'd had to go 5000 miles of that nonsense I'd have just put my factory wheels back on and called it a day

      I've driven half a year on after market wheels without hub rings and any problems. I've double checked and torqued the lugs to recommended 100 lbs. to ensure no slop. Though rings are not needed, I'd still get them as seating the lugs are a nuisance.

    Sorry, but aren’t the wheels aluminium so I don’t think aluminium hub rings are going to cause any more electrolysis than the wheels themself.

      That logic makes sense, but you need to understand and consider the relationship and the size of cathodes and annodes in dissimilar metals on the galvanic corrosion process. A hub ring is smaller in mass than the steel hub it's being fitted to (accelerating corrosion), whereas an alloy wheel is larger than the steel hub it's being fitted to (slowing corrosion).

    When coasting I hear a repetitive hard thumping. Could this be from not using rings?

      No, this will not be a hub ring issue. You should get that checked out asap. It could be tyres, wheels or driveline.

    Do you have to use hub rings? Yes, if you phreaking value your life and the life of your passengers. Wheels vibrating and falling off at hi speeds is not fun, it is dangerous and it is expensive. If you get after market wheels, do it properly. Anyway, why would you not use a ring, those things are dirt cheap.

    This guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. They are essential for larger trucks especially when towing trailers or on rough roads. Without then all the weight is on your studs and they will become damaged or broke over time.
