Wheel center rings work really nice with the nissan versa sv because the car shakes and breaks squeak alot and it's really ruff but after I put them wheel center rings on it made it reap smooth so anybody with a nissan versa sv get them wheel center rings you won't regret it

With a 2021 Amarok V6 the swap from large diameter OEM alloys with rubber bands for tyres to a more suitable higher profile Goodyear tyre on a steel wheel generated vibration. Difficult to isolate to the wheels, tyres, hubs, balance or wheel alignment. Had the wheel/tyre balanced (three times) 7gms off balance at one check. Eventually decided to use some proper engineering assessment criteria, and measure. The wheels were running out, in the vertical plane by about 1mm (0.039") measured with a dial indicator from my lathe - just visible movement in the tyre tread. Removed the wheel - checked for wheel damage (wheels are quite new) and inspected the tyres - no apparent issues. Cleaned the hub surfaces with a wire buff on the 'angry grinder'. Ran the dial indicator over the hub with the axle turning - running pretty true. Set the wheel back in place and noticed that the wheel had 'settled' on the hub - 0.9mm gap between hub and wheel centre. These wheels are supposed to be "Hub-centric" THEY ARE NOT. Refitted the wheel with a 0.035mm shim supporting the wheel against the top of the hub - feeler gauges meant we could actually centre the wheel with reference to the hub - now we know it's centred, carefully pulled up the wheel bolts, torquing those fasteners in stages and checking all around with a feeler gauge - wheel now centred accurately to the hub. Final 160 NM torque (using a torque wrench NOT a rattle gun) - did all 4 wheels and took the ute for a test flight ... at least 95% of the vibration gone. Now searching for proper 'Hub-centric' steel wheels. Oh yes, we have the new style wheels, and they DO NOT engage with the hub as you suggest.

Realistically and wheel that uses conical style lug nuts has no use for a hub ring. The lugs will center the wheel properly when tightened in the proper sequence. The taper of the lug nuts leaves no where for the wheel to go other than directly in the center. Only some weird cars that use wheel bolts or funky lugs that are flat or use washers ever need hub rings.

The only thing hubrings do is assist you with centering the wheel. Once you put your Lugnuts in, they take over with the studs hub rings are not necessary for alloy wheels as long as you are careful as you tighten your wheel down in a star pattern and assuming you’re using cone Lugnuts Which most cars use except for Audi and Volkswagon, and some other brands. But once again as long as you’re careful with your tightening, they are not necessary, but they are helpful.

Not necessary. Hand tighten in a star pattern with the wheels off the ground. Lower and torque to spec with wheels down - go slow and tighten in a star pattern again. The cone lugs will center the wheels if done correctly.

What size tyre

Are these for sure the 17x9 -10? The lip looks way smaller than the -38!

I’ve been trying to figure where my steering wheel vibrating was coming from while on freeway. All suspension is fine. Alignment is fine. Just realized today I’m missing all the wheel centering rings.

How much actual lift does this kit give you

Rims look like 17-18’s with a 265/65 tyre. So probably 32inch maybe 33’s. Mr triton will fit 33’s with 2 inch lift. But get +18 wheel offset. If you go negative you’ll scrub outa guards.

295/70/18? Also did the spare fit underneath? AND did you have to modify the mud guard to fit?

How about a 17 inch steelie that fits on a model y? lets say, 17x7-5x114.3 with a 52mm offset? wheel and tire will sit almost flush to wheel well, yet be narrow enough to provide additional traction in snow. a narrow wheel will also protect itself provided a tire is used that exceeds the rim width by 2 inches approx.

i just got a pair of bbs for my k11 micra they'll tighten properly but driving at like 30 all i hear is dudududu the wheels are wobbling and they've been balanced recently so im going to try this thank you

I just changed out 3 wheel studs because I accidentally stripped them when putting on a tire that had a way bigger center bore. This vehicle also has a wobble at 110 so gonna try and pop these babies on and see if it fixes! 4 For $13.50, I think it's worth it.

With all my experience gained from aftermarket installation in my cars, you Do need Hub rings if you are a spirited driver. And Hub Centric ring might be skipped by most aftermarket alloy wheels installers it should be mandate to use hub rings because it definitely distrubutes load to the hub instead of directly to the lugs moreover those who have searched for hub rings definitely getting vibration in there steering wheel going over 100Km/h.

This guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. They are essential for larger trucks especially when towing trailers or on rough roads. Without then all the weight is on your studs and they will become damaged or broke over time.
