I like the idea of a natural scorer like Kane if he holds up a full season and makes a difference in the playoffs...but NY has to get some grit and size on defense.

Ah what the hell sign him to a 2 yr contract at $3 million, that's more then he'll get from any other club who wants to sign him, that's $1.5 million a yr for 2 yrs is good enough, now there gonna have to get creative here and get Rid of trouba and kakko and get two or three players who have grit and can Really hit on the ice so Drury let's go start scanning the free agent market and get those player's ASAP. LET'S GO RANGERS.
You want to bring in P Kane? Go ahead, but keep in mind it will not bring a cup to the Big Apple unless you get size and toughness with puck handling on defense! THAT is the difference maker.
I’m on board with Kane coming back again.. he was injured when we obtained him.. with the last season after his surgery getting back he looks really good & I believe he’ll contribute majorly.. but we do need defense… nasty, gritty, tenacious defense.. we need those guys as well

This doesn't fix what fans perceive as our main weakness made bare against the Panthers and that is our softcore superstars. It just adds more of the same.
there’s a long history of the Rangers bringing past-their-prime superstars to MSG on overly generous contracts - now that Sather is officially gone maybe those wounds will heal but older fans will always have that knee jerk reaction to dislike trades like what would be with Kane - even if its not a bad deal. like a dog that flinches at a raised hand!! lol. good stuff. subbed up!
Im for it if they can also pick up a top end aggressive d-man and another solid 2 way center who wins face offs and plays with an aggressive edge

@@Mike-mx1bw He put up nearly a point per game this past season. We need other types of players, but if he's affordable I would add him, at least for next season.
Kane was obtained with a hip problem 2 seasons ago plus Gallant didn’t know how to coach and use Kane.
Now you’ve got a healthy Kane with a better coach. I would take Kane over Goody with a similar salary any day.
@@gr8tnowwhatnearly a point per game coming in around December, has a full offseason to get his game back to where he wants it. Reports are he wants 3 years, the cost is the deciding factor for me. Cap space is playing a huge role with the rangers window of contending. 3X3 yes 3X5 no for me, and I don’t think he’ll take 3 after taking a low deal last year
