If you need C-Bills play those FLARE UP or DEFEND mission chains. They will give you extra C-Bills on following missions but you can refuse missions you dont like and when the mission chain ends you get a loot cache. I have played some of those and had a payout of 2.5 -3 million C-Bills with full salvage rights.

@@whitefamilliar3057I am talking about those purple blinking flashpoints were one faction attacks the planet of another faction.
Those flaskpoints are different from the orange blinking ones in that you always have 3 days of recovery time between missions and you dont have to play every mission you get offered. If you refuse one mission you will be offered another one 3 days later. If you complete more than one of those missions you will recieve extra C-Bills and if your faction wins in the end you will recieve a loot cache.

To be honest I really can't tell what's going on with the combat log. The damage messages fill up the entire log. I can see the damage numbers and the hits on the paper doll. The floaties are much better to me too because I like watching thr mech get hit so I'm already looking at it for the floaties. If only there was a "use both" setting.
Yes, you have to scroll to see what happened. But it helps when you want to keep track of injuries, what pilots are bleeding out, why something blew up, etc. The floaties you get one chance to see them and then gone forever, unless it has been changed
@@thegreatlarry9454 the problem is though that I can't scroll up the log in a video. If I missed a floaty I'll just back up in the video.

Dmg log is good for someone playing the game. the in game floaties are great for those watching the game.
They both have their perks. The floaties have that instant gratification and recognition for what is happening, but the combat log when playing is great for going back through to know what has been crit or who’s been injured.
For all you guys who play RT: FCS Scanoptics is basically a slightly nerfed Optics mk3 before patch. So a really good FCS even worth 1.500.000 C-Bills.

Firetrucks in lore at least usually have a fluid gun which is insanely good at debuffing with stuff like paint spray inferno gel spray oil spray and even water or cryo spray sometimes but there is a chemical explosive filled one in lore so it could be stupidly dangerous or barely dangerous depending on what's in the tanks. The hilariously overpowered one is cryo or water spraying a really hot mech with insufficient cooling.
Fuel tank is a self detonation of an incindiary boosted by core size combined with the fluid gun you could basically disable one mech's ability to hit while ramming another for a huge heat aoe. It's I'd say the second most dangerous one lore wise I've heard of so far.
Of course you'd need 2 turns for that but yeah the armor on it means it might survive that long if you don't immidiately prioritize it.
You do weapon priority on mechs you control in Rouetech, yet on MW5 you don't do weapon groups for AI which is way more impactful for AI pilots. especially in unmodded game.
The UAV compartment comes equipped with a standard UAV (one able to do a 1 hex radius ping every 3 rounds and 5 one-shot 'nades)
You can buy other types of UAV's - with othe options - later if you want and by using, shift as far as I remember, when launching you can choose the UAV type.
Only one UAV pr. launcher pr. game.
for streak launchers, it essentially makes it the same as any other single shot weapon, ppc, ac etc. with the added bonus of not using ammo or heat with no lock. with that being said, the counter option in its weapon class is non streak missiles. matches can be determined on a single turn. having the reliable, albeit lesser, damage really pays off throughout the match

I'm no sure i am excited about two "Whacka's" but they are certainly very capable mechs to have on your side.

Any "X" Bushwhacker is a very good pick. Blazefires Large Lasers are great, if you xan mitigate the misfire chance.
And, unless they chaged it, "X" midels get Ace Pilot and Multitrack with high proficiency.

question: I know this mod recommends 32gb of RAM and 48+gb of pagefile.... but is it still relatively playable at 16gb of RAM and 24gb of pagefile?
if you have nothing else ram intensive in the background.
and even then it will slowly grind to a halt, because the actual base game has a memory leak and will just use more and more ram over time . .

I play with 16/24 and is absolutely fine. I would recommend to restart the game every couple hours to prevent the aforementioned memory leak but other than that is fine.
You'll be fine, I play with 16 gigs and game runs smooth but over a hour or two my load times are long, menu lags on clicks but a restart fixes

So in playing with this update I can confirm you can pre-mount 2 battle armor at least on a Badger, and they DO NOT count against the drop number. It says I can drop 6 units and I am able to drop 4 mechs and 2 tanks and 2 BA on the tank. I suspect if I had enough Badgers and BA and BA pilots I could drop a bunch of extra guys. I also was able to take a turn with the BA firing their small lasers while still mounted on the vehicle.
The only place I've ever seen UAV's that you can acquire is in the store and only the UAV Compartments in both the Store and Salvage.
tag doesn't affect weapons that fire after it in same activation; you probably want to put it last since within an activation it's best use is as 1d critseeker

I have killed so many 'mechs with that squad.

so I've been playing for about 15 hours( with the new update) and just thought they made the monthly upkeep way harder. been struggling to get any Cbills together then I notice some gump that has a +450,000 to upkeep. wasn't even using him and was doubling my upkeep! He had two free loot drops per mission, but no real good other perks. anyone keep him around? do you get anything good? but to start with him was a real drain..
U only use him late game.
Just in case. Dont Do acadamy appointments. Patch notes stated taht you could lock your pilot into nothingness. Wouldn't like to See that on your playthrough
How is your lam academy only 1250 mine is well over 100mil.
it's expensive because it's currently bugged and the devs are trying to save you from potentially messing up a pilot

The searchlight makes your mech easier to see as well, not very good piece of tech

The first mission shows yet another major defect in this game programming, the core game, not roguetech.
- The allies are useless, look at the ice ferret instead of engaging, the mothertrucker ran back, even though there was nothing pressuring him. While the enemies will shoot, even if they have little to no chance, because that is the stupid game programming, war of attrition.
The allies should also be given control to the human player, because is fair that way
- Next up is the evac area. Why in god's name is it on the other side of the map?!?! In these assassination missions it's impossible to assassinate just the target and get out of dodge asap. Because you are forced to go through the entire enemy force to reach evac zone.
Garbage core game programming.
In roguetech its possible to do it with some ifrit variants and other very fast high power vtols that generate huge evasion and don't care about terrain.
HBS should release the source code and allow modders to fix their stupid base game programming.
- your allies turn are counted towards YOUR turn whereas the enemy reinforcements don't get counted towards their turn.
So for example your ally (blue) shoots and in the next initiative stage you (white), an enemy (red up arrow) and enemy ally (red x) have one unit each in the same initiative turn with you, the enemies will shoot one after the other, instead of allowing you to shoot after one enemy unit.
Red x ain't an ally to enemies, its third side of the conflict and may attack the original enemy forces (it prefers you tho)
