Optics remove the "no visuals" penalty within their range, not the "no sensors".
As often as Bara uses the firestarter as a melee mech he should rename it “kickstarter”
For those UAVs you need an UAV Compartment Specialist Item. Then when you use that on a mission you can choose between an unlimited default UAV it launches and any of those singe-use consumable UAVs you may have bought (no need to equip single-use ones, they just magically work from your "inventory" as long as you have the Specialist Item).
Personally I think those single-uses are not worth it, except for those that work as a C3 slave (and this is a BIG except). This means you can fly an almost invisible C3 scout all around a map and get exceptionally good accuracy for your lance risk-free (because of how C3 networks work and calculate to-hit bonuses). This obviously requires that you're using a C3 Master/Slave or a C3i network with your lance (there is no UAV that is compatible with NOVA CEWS network; though I haven't played Lance-a-Lot enough to know if one is available now).
As a side note these UAVs are also really nice for safely scouting/spotting/searching for extremely stealthed enemies and other risky stuff like that. They can also interact with "capture zones" like e.g. in Recovery missions (or at least were able to; no confirmation for Lance-a-Lot).

in every Game I ether started or got a Chameleon I give it a tag when I get one and fill it with ether Med lasers or a Large pulse and 1 or 2 meds and rest ER smalls.... I never tryed putting a jump booster in it thou might try it this time and see what it can do, I always have one energy Mech in my lance my father taught me about Battletech when I was like 6 or 7 him and the guys would come over every weekend and play ether BT or D&D, Once I learned about D&D I than learned about Battletech, my favorite battletech game was MechWarrior 4: Vengeance, until I saw you play Roguetech about 3 maybe 4 years ago been having a blast watching you Baradul blowing up mechs :)
Don't worry too much about skull difficulties. The RT team leveled out the difficulty scale a bit.
It makes using lights and mediums viable for a longer time.
Hydra ammo with a Quick Sell LRM launcher works great. The whole world burns!
To anyone who wants to play with superheavy mechs: get yourself a shitload of money before you try to build one of those, installing an XL engine will set you back a clean 15 million C-Bills and XXL is around 20 million.

I mean usually the sensors on mechs are good enough to sight in any enemy in visual range not under ecm so an active probe shouldn't be needed except to counter ecm stealth units minefields or shutdown mechs in ambush. Roguetech jus doesn't follow lore very much in that way. Not to mention visual range you should just need to drop the reticle over the target without worrying about anything but leading your target. in lore only lrms or seeking weapons really need a sensor blip to target and can still be dumb fired at a location you can see within range. Remember that most mechs sensors do not even give lead indicators even and thus shouldn't effect accuracy much.

Wonders do happen in RT! I just got my first pilot out of a duel. The chance to get a pilot seems to be really low but you can get a pilot out of it. So eventually it will happen you just need to play as many duels as you can.

Honestly it is nice that advanced zoom got nerfed. I only ran it, because so many enemies did. Without, you were at a disadvantage, now, its not so bad. Which means I can do other things like bolt on's which I absolutely love, even if they are not old optics good. I love running things like bolt on inferno rockets, but, after I got advanced optics I usually could not fit them on my build.
A great medium tank is the KangaX fast can jump has lrg chem str lrm15 and str srm6.

Side note: the Cautious ability now is a LOT more viable a pick for piloting mechs with weapons that cause stability dmg.
Oh I just found out superheavy missions are coded with blue skulls now.

Have any Deadfire half ton ammo for LRM? That would be a nice addition to the Bushwacker for when things get close to you.
Also no sensors is different than no visuals.

Playing BTA in the early game, and ended up panicking out an enemy pilot and getting a free Hunchback 5M. All I had to do was have my Phoenix Hawk run up behind him and give him a swift kick in the ass.
the Narc launcher only helps missiles. other weapons like ballistics or lasers won't benefit from a target being narced.
The 24 sheath beacon is worse than the 12. Take a 12 when you see one for an upgrade

All you guys complaining about TC's not stacking more than 6 times, I know why they changed it. They introduced a new item called Headshotter 2000 it increases called shot modifier by 23% add that to your 24% coming from TC's and you have 47% better OP accuracy put a pilot like "MIG" in there and you get another +4 OP accuracy so headshots galore. The only problem deleting the enemy force by headshots only is the low resolve gain.
What is ammo for LRM "SPAMMY"? It was in the Prowler when you were looking at it. Just curious.

I know with kicks, the damages are only allocated to the legs. So where are the areas will the damages be allocated with the punches?
Depending on the elevation (from memory) you can also kick their upper body, and punch their legs.
And on the same level, punches go to the body and arms.

Optics fixes no visuals. Not no sensors?
I think the modders switched some of the descriptions for weapons and equipment unintentionally. Many Clan weapons are factually worse than the IS version. For example the RAC5, the IS version uses less slots weighs the same and same dmg but generates less heat. Same goes for exchangers clan one is worse in ervery aspect but worth nearly a million C-Bills more. How did that happen?

todat i installed the game/mod again... and again enemy is overpowerd as fuck.. this mod is frustrating me since day one.. even seen a buschwacker taken out by freaking machine guns ona supply truck in first round? thats normal .. start menu only gives option on how much salvage it needs to build one. nothing else... ughh since day 1 this mod exists i want to play it. never seems to work for me
