It seems like some have complains about the 3.6 but I never had any problems with mine. They went over 130,000 miles with no problems

Nice review. This 2021 avenair is my second one. a 2018 - now 2021. I needed the cargo space because i had a 2015 GMC acadia which they downsized and made the new ones too small. Love it. rides great. do not like the shifter on the 2022, you need to look down to shift where the 2021 shifter you pull down -drive. up and over reverse nover have to look
I bought a 2022 Cadillac XT6 Premium Luxury a couple of weeks ago which I know is the higher end cousin to the Enclave and I'm very happy with it. I was hesitant at first due to poor reliability and quality experiences with GM in the past but I'm glad I made the purchase. It's my first domestic American car brand purchase in 20 years!
Picked up a ‘22 Enclave Essence ST in Black for the wifey, loving it so far. Traded in a ‘20 Acadia SLE, great car but a bit short in cargo room
Thanks Lauren, good review. The infotainment system looked dated to me. I know the Buick brand is tried and true, but just not for me. I promised myself I wouldn't drive a Buick when I got old like my Dad, LOL. I went with the Toyota HL Hybrid.
Toyota 4 Runner thrashed Buick and many other brands since the past few years except that their milage is bad. However, this year Buick is trying to catch up with the competition. The major improvement I see is in the mileage.
Lauren, just found your channel great video love your format. With inventory being the way it is this was on our list just but not available in our area. We bought the Cadillac XT6 and have been very happy with the vehicle.

Wish the Cadillac XT6 was this big. So many 3rd row crossovers completely neglect the idea of space behind the third row.
In China, people like to buy Buick very much because its price is even cheaper than Chinese brands and has a high cost performance
The Envision model is Made in China. The Enclave is made in Lansing, MI. Just thought you should know.

Vehicles are assembled all over the world regardless of where their parent company is based.
Manufacturers build vehicles where it is most cost effective.

because people in the US are more discerning than people in China. we know its just a fancy chevy, at higher cost.

the only well complain opinion is it looks a lot like Opel Peugeot also noise with stripe where the emblem is remind me of Opel

i saw push buttons for transmission if i saw it correct Buick had i believe in the 60ts that mi opnion.

Excellent review Lauren. The Buick is very attractive, but dependability has had serious problems in the past. The transmission had been failure-prone. The timing chain on the V6 is weak - it stretches and breaks. The poewer steering fails. The cooling system has had leaks from use of plastic elbows and connections. Build quality has been spotty. The safety features are terrific. Its huge inside. And the price is fairly reasonable. For a $50k vehicle, I'm going with a Palisade. I'd recommend leasing, not buying, on the Buick because there's a steep depreciation rate on them,

It sounds like Buick hasn’t come far in the reliability department since my dad bought a Buick Estate Wagon in 1976. Hood thing he was a mechanic. He probably saved a million bucks in repairs on that thing.
You may want to do some research into the Korean twins. Palisade and Telluride aren't the most dependable nor do they have the newest tech in the motor (eg: no hydraulic lifters, amongst other old school features. Plastic oil filter housing)
Not to mention dealing with Kia and Hyundai is big contrast to other dealers and going through TechLine to exercise their claimed 100k warranty will be a headache & and half.

We have a 15 Lexus gx and 20 Camry we are thinking on trading for the enclave. Do you think we should go for a 22 new or do you think a certified 18-22 would be better, do you think they upgraded it enough to spring for the 22? I hate to do it as the Lexus will definitely outlive and keep value much better but my mom that I’m taking to dr appointments due to back issues can’t get in either vehicle we own. The 3.6 does scare me a lil bit due to the reliability history, that’s what makes me want certified for the extra warranty. Sorry for being long winded
As a former Enclave owner, I would shop elsewhere. I was always pouring anti freeze in the car. It never leaked anywhere so something else is going on. It was very thirsty, and very heavy.

Why do you say you wouldn't put a car seat in the third row? Most families that purchase a third row suv do so because they have more than 2 kids. We put a car seat in the middle of the third row and it works great.
Car seats require a LATCH system to properly and safely transport your children
@@CarCoachReports This isn't true there is no law saying a latch system is required. Either seat belt or LATCH, when used correctly, are equally safe and legal here in Canada.
My husband decided this (Avenir model) was the best vehicle for me.... I just go with it - I'm not picky! I am under 5 foot and this doesn't fit me that great but with a seat cushion from Amazon, visibility is fine now.
Not sure if the park assist will be added when the chips are finally delivered to the dealership - I've heard different reports on this - I'm hoping that it will be possible!
The drive is nice, the look is nice... I did not test drive other comparable vehicles though... the price seemed steep - we put $40k down and financed the rest - $20k - so at $60k, that just seems high but honestly, I know that this is not the best time to go car shopping.... my 2006 Tahoe Z71 gave a good long run and it was time for a new vehicle - not worth dumping more $ into something that old. All of these fancy new features like the self starting engine, heated steering wheel, massaging, air conditioning seats and many others seem unnecessary and I feel guilty having these!! But that self parking feature seems really cool - that's why I'm hoping that chip that will be coming includes this!!!
The self park assist chip has been added as a recall item. My wife and I had our dealership install the module in both our 2022 Buicks Avenir and Premium.
One should note this Enclave has less space than the original.
but one should also note this is a thousand times better looking
@@bitkahuna I can't tell you how many passengers used to tell me how ugly the clock was on the dashboard. I'm not sure why GM chose to include the black plastic on the front end instead of making it one color.

Good review. I'm just not convinced the Enclave (with I like), is a better value then a comparable MDX, Telluride/Palisades, Explorer, or even it's sister the Traverse.
I drove the Korean competitors and besides the gas mileage, the Buick is better. Bigger engine, drives better, stronger, better interior and features for my opinion. Doesn’t make sense to buy underpowered Korean crap. I drove every 3 seat suv in the last years, the best ones were the explorer and enclave/traverse.

A MORE DRESSED UP TRAVERSE OR A SLIGHTLY LESS DRESSED UP cADILLAC xt6. VERY GOOD VEHICLE FOR SPACE AND FAMILY.
Hybrids and PHEV’s have no problems with range anxiety..so why bring that up ?
The stigma still exists. While this at minimum looks like the common modern day SUV, my grandfather only bought Buick back in the day. That's probably enough for many right there. It may be a decent vehicle if one is looking for the cookie cutter SUV with a bit more. The grandfather in his 70s image though is tough to break..lol This is why you don't see as many Buick SUVs and also GM's reputation from the past of cars getting rust and oil leaks..etc.

I just never add a GM vehicle to the list when car shopping. It’s probably the result of owning some crappy GM vehicles in the 1980s. I don’t trust their long term reliability.
understood - I have had issues back in the 80s and haven’t bought one since. The Enclave was pretty nice - they sell a lot of these SUVs

Buick went from rebadged Opels to rebadged Chevys.....both of which copy 3 yr old Kias and Hyundai models. Saves them lots of money on design costs.....🤭🙄🤣

@@CarCoachReports can’t fit a full size suitcase in those while the 3rd row is up. I know, I tried. My wife and I are trying to find a third row suv that can. So far the Traverse and this is it unless you go up to Tahoe sized vehicles.
@@CarCoachReports the Palasade looks bigger than it really is. The Enclave is definitely more spacious.
I like the new Buick design language but it’s still a Buick which means not reliable and a brand for old people. Lincoln is a superior option.
The redesign ruined the front end (very ugly and disproportionate), and the idiots at GM removed the excellent dual-clutch AWD which could send power to even just one wheel with grip. Now it's just a fake AWD system which will just spin the slipping wheels instead of actually providing AWD.

It all depends on the model. The Mustang, Demon and the Corvette are impressive cars.
