    I bought a new 2022 Enclave for my young family this year-3 kids. We love it. Very safe, excellent and smooth ride, good MPG for the size, the new grill looks great and actually receives a lot of compliments. I purchased because it has the most room of any 3 row SUV, was pleasantly surprised by all of the premium features and safety features that came standard on the vehicle. And the buying experience was EXCELLENT. Buick dealerships know how to treat their customers.

    I have had a Buick since I was twenty-eight. They are great dependable and nice riding cars. I live in the upper Midwest and my LeSabre got me through snowdrifts that several 4-wheel drives got stuck in! Don't judge a book by it's cover!!

    I have owned the 2018 Enclave Essence going on a little over 3 years now and about to trade it in for the 2022 Enclave Premium. I have never had any issues with my Enclave considering all the family trips I have taken throughout the years. Another good point is this vehicle is an absolute beast when it comes to comfortability in long-distance traveling. I almost feel refreshed every time I travel 14 hours to TX from TN. I will say I am curious how different the suspension will be in the Premium in comparison to the Avenir. They both have a lot of similarities except for the grill and seats. Great video by the way.

      I'm on my second Enclave, Jordan. My first one was a loaded 2013 before they offered adaptive suspension. My current one is a 2021 Avenir and I can assure you that there will be a significant difference in the suspension versus the non-adaptive lower trims.
      The Enclave is a perfect road machine that we use to take up to our cabin in Utah. The only vehicle I have that has a better ride is my 2023 Acura MDX Type-S Advance that we just picked up a couple weeks ago. It has adaptive air suspension that (in comfort mode) you will just have to experience to believe.

    • @jax1079
      @jax1079 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yeah, their marketing is TERRIBLE. The whole commercial where the dad keeps calling the Enclave "Alexa" because it has the integration... It's like, way to have no faith in your brand or model or trim level equity. They need to do more straight comparisons and look at the value the Enclave gives you. At $60k, it's ENORMOUS compared to something like a Lexus RX, and it's significantly bigger than an Acura MDX. It rides better than the Lexus, and it's more comfortable than the Acura with more interior space for people and cargo. (I'll admit, not as sexy, though.) And if you grab one after depreciation has hit it, like I said with about 20k miles on the odo, you're getting one screaming bargain in Avenir trim. I think Buick needs a marketing campaign reinvention more than anything.

    I recently bit the bullet and purchased a new 2023 Enclave Avenir with the tech/performance suspension option. I plan to keep it for some time, so took the hit with resale. I only have about 1200 miles on the clock, but have been very impressed with the vehicle so far. It is so quite it took some getting used to. It is a bit surreal... I agree with everything you said about the dash and touch screen, but it is still an elegant, nice place to be while traveling in a cocoon of near silence. My previous ride was a 2021 Blazer 2LT V6, AWD. I liked it a lot, but a bit plain. Also the interior space was minimal for such a good sized XUV. I have a good feeling I will be very happy with my Avenir.

Me and my wife just picked up this 2022 for 25K with under 50,000 miles. We have not been disappointed and it was the same price as a 2022 Chevy Traverse with the same amount of miles but the LT trim level. The value is amazing and would definitely suggest people look at these vehicles more seriously.

    My grandma has had her 2012 buick Verano for over 10 years now and she never had a problem with it. Everytime i go to visit her i always tell her i want to wash it, Through her buying the car when we were kids and up until now when i reflect back on all the lessons she tried to teach me because i was hard headed. I'm heavily considering buying a buick because of the sentimental value. I know it would mean alot to my grandma if she saw me in a Buick. I was considering the Yukon SLE but i might give that up and go with the Buick Enclave ST, they offer really good value, wonderful reliability, and can absorb those Memphis potholls

    I was primarily shopping for a luxury SUV to replace my 10 year old Venza. I absolutely loved the reliability and problem free aspect of the Venza. It was a fantastic car. But I am older now, making more money, ready for something more refined. My first instinct was to go towards Lexus because I'm coming from a Toyota background. Mercedes and BMW are just too costly in the maintenance and unforeseen repairs dept. I really had not given ANY thought to a Buick. Then I saw one zooming past me on the freeway, and thought, wow what is that and sure enough it was the Buick Enclave. It is now at the top of my list. It has everything, except the marketing. Luxury, refinement, reliability, lower maintenance cost, quiet, good power, and lots of room. What's not to love? I think the infotainment screen is "just the right size." I don't need some massive 14" screen blinding me while I'm driving. Trying to wait another year so the 2022 comes down in price a little more, and I think I'm going to pull the trigger. I have to say, the new Mazda CX90 is a beautiful SUV too and a top contender. I just wish Buick would change the badging and make it more modern.

    I own a 2025 Buick Enclave Leather Edition. I absolutely love to drive it on two lane highways and interstates. I had the power steering pump replaced at 77,056 miles and now its going back to the selling dealership for an issue where the a/c stops working and the temperature gauge drops to 160 F. Thanks for your excellent review of what I consider a "true sleeper value" vehicle. We purchased a new 2021 Enclave Premium when one came available during the pandemic. Choices were not too available and this is my first new Buick ever. Owned just about every other brand out there, especially a ton of Chevrolets, Suburbans, Traverse, etc. I am now a confirmed Buick fan as this vehicle has exceeded all of my expectations. Solid, quiet, roomy, nice to drive with excellent performance. Above all, the quiet serenity of the Enclave on trips as well as around town really has impressed us. Before GM turns the Enclave into another rock crawling truck like it has the new 2024 Traverse, we intend to get a new Enclave Avenir, with the Tech package while we can. Have to agree with about everything you said in your review. I think the Buick Enclave is a great value, even new!

    I have a 2012 Enclave brought used Nov. 2012, currently has 223,500 mi. Had an a/c issue at 72k under warranty; 114k stabilitrak/engine failure. Dealer charged $1900 ( thin they were guessing and changed out extra parts, no one could tell me exactly what was wrong; moral of the story get your own scanner tool.). Started to do the work myself changing spark plugs and coils. Stabilitrak light comes on and off. Recently it came on again and this time it cut the engine power. Checked the codes and it was a fuel injection rail pressure regulator also had oil leaking into the spark plug well. Went to TH-cam and figured it out changed the part and front bank valve gasket. Running smooth now. Make you stay on top of oil changes. Looking to get another SUV used and I keep coming back to the Enclave.

    I have had many Buicks since I was 20 (I’m now 39) and actually prefer the older models with that old school feel. My favorite Buick was my 2005 Park Avenue. I’ve had Yukons since 2018 but just purchased a brand new ‘24 Enclave Avenir and I do really like it. I moved to the Yukon back in 2018 after having a 2012 and 2015 Enclave because I wasn’t crazy about the new re-style but I think they really improved the looks in 2022. I was worried I might feel like I was down-grading going back to the Enclave but I really don’t. I love a soft boulevard ride and while my new Enclave is not quite as floaty as I like, the magnetic ride control is very smooth especially at lower speeds but I wish there was an even softer setting below the Touring mode, but overall I am very satisfied so far.

We had two fully loaded Telluride's, and as much as we love the tech after having issues with both of those vehicles over a 3-4yr time period we have up the most updated tech and features for a more refined ride, quieter interior, better seats, more space, more cargo space and a much better drivetrain and overall build quality.

    If you're buying pre-owned, you WANT old people vehicles. Old people don't drive a lot, but they almost always maintain their vehicles. And if a make/model is mainly purchased by old people, the stigma and progressively decreasing buying pool will hurt the resale value of the vehicle and thus help you get a bargain.

    I’m 48 and I’ve always loved Buicks. Ever since I was little I remember those giant Electras and then in the mid 90s they resurrected the big rear drive Roadmaster. I miss those traditional land yachts. The Enclave is pretty much the modern day version of it. Or maybe more like the wagons but without that chintzy fake wood siding.I’d get teased saying Buicks are for old folks. Luxury is only for old folks? I’ll take luxury any day over a cramped,rough riding,noisy sports car. You drive it fast because it’s not comfortable and you want to spend the least amount of time in it! To each their own.

    This is a brilliant perspective and not one that I’ve heard. We would be interested in something smaller and sexier but we have 14 year old twins and a large dog. Nothing besides the traverse really works and that vehicle is the definition of unsexy. And I don’t believe the traverse has all the quiet tuning even though mechanically it’s almost the same car.

    I disagree with you, you say there is nothing else you want in a vehicle like this. GM could add super cruise to this vehicle and it will be a differentiator that no one else has. Then you need it. Alas, super cruise only for electrics or high end GMs.

      Not a bad option except for the ride. The Enclave in Avenir trim has a much more sophisticated ride than the Traverse. (I’m not saying I have a problem with the way the Traverse rides, necessarily, but the top spec Enclave is in another league.)

    I cannot even believe that you would compare a GM product to a Toyota product. God bless anybody who wants to get anywhere near 100,000 miles out of a GM product. I would rather buy a used Toyota for $60,000 as opposed to a brand new GM product. I hate to say it but they’re just trash and they’re not built to last do your research people.
    I would never spend $60,000 on a GM product. I’m not even sure that I would lease one. They’re just not that good.
    look at the class action lawsuits that GM is having with their Silverado engines. I actually just stepped out of a encore GX and I understand that’s a totally different class of a vehicle however, it’s a really bad and it is not gonna stand the test of time.
    I’ve actually owned more GM products than any other vehicle starting with a 1971 Cadillac and a 1971 Camaro 350. I’m very familiar with General Motors in the 70s 80s and 90s. These modern turbo turd GM’s that are made in Mexico and Korea are just not built to last more than about 60,000 miles I hate to say it. i’m currently in a rental Buick, all American well at least the nameplate is. Made in Korea engine made in Mexico less than 3% made in America according to the label. It’s garbage. It’s not even two years old has 44,000 miles on it and already has issues.
    Unfortunately it’s not just GM. Ford and even some Hondas and Toyotas are having issues. GM however I believe is absolutely having the most issues.
    You have to do your research. Would you rather have the Japanese car that’s made in America? Or would you rather have the “American” car that’s made in Korea and Mexico? personally I would take the Japanese car that’s made in Japan. you have to look at the label before you buy anything

      I mean, reputations are well earned, but everyone remembers the vehicles that burn you as opposed to the ones that last and work flawlessly. My 11 year old Suburban has been trouble free for 170k miles and my C5 Corvette has been fantastic for 75k.

    As a middle class man I am interested in this type vehicle. Still, in this segment, there is no way I take this over a Highlander or Pilot. Because I value dependability. Telluride is without a doubt a looker and best design inside and out. GM front wheel drive SUVs are problem prone. Engines not as good as Japanese. Design not as good as Koreans. Behind Grand a Cherokee and even Pathfinder. $60,000? Lol, I even take a Durango over this piece of junk. How long has it been since GM even redesigned this?

    • @jax1079
      @jax1079 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      It hasn’t been as long as you think (considering both the Pilot and Highlander and no spring chickens, either). The Envision is manufactured in China, but the Enclave is manufactured here and used mostly North American parts (I believe the window sticker lists it as over 60% North American). Also, my iPhone is built in China and works great. I don’t see that as a negative necessarily (unless you’re looking at it from a social-political perspective, but that’s a whole different set of problems). I agree about the Super Cruise. It needs to be on a model like this. I imagine it has more to do with onboard processing power than anything, but having that option in Avenir spec would instantly elevate this vehicle to absolutely worth $60k. Without it… well, that’s the whole point of my video 😂 Thanks for watching!
