    Somebody said you had to drop the diff to get in there but after watching this I noticed two things
    1. You don’t have to drop the diff
    2. Your car is frikkkkkkkkkkkkkkin rusty!

      He probably took the diff bolt out one of the bolts for the camber arms won’t come out fully with the diff in place- hence probably why he never showed the other side being done

    Nice DIY. I do closed circuit racing where we look to have between 2 and 3 degrees of negative camber on our BMW. You were shortening those trailing arms at first, negative camber would be achieved by lengthening them correct?

    • @OctaneMonkey
      @OctaneMonkey  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are correct, lengthening would push the bottom of the wheel out, which would be negative camber.

    best video I've found for a diyer and ordered some control arms off the back of this. just wondering as i have just got 4 new tyres and wheel alignment, do i need to go back for another wheel alignment after adjusting camber?

    • @OctaneMonkey

    Quick question on the 2001 330i it's a little difficult to get to the inside nut on the camber arms what are you using to loosen and tighten that?

    • @OctaneMonkey
      @OctaneMonkey  ปีที่แล้ว

      It would have either been a 1/2 inch drive socket or the box end of a wrench.

  • @JAS_2001

    How'd u do the left side??

    • @OctaneMonkey
      @OctaneMonkey  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's the same as the right side. Undo the bottom nut, tap out the bolt on the wheel end. Then undo the top nut on the differential side. Tap out that bolt. Remove the old bar, install the new one.

      There are 2 ways. 1) Use a thin small wrench. 2) Leave it loose, set the lenght, remove it, and tighten everything up off the car and then re-install it.
