Yay! A Cape house! This one is darling! I grew up in a MA town founded in 1635 and have family on the Cape now. I love the charm of those slanting floors, tilted walls, and narrow staircases that go almost straight up like a ladder. And I'm a sucker for a weathered cedar shingle exterior with hydrangeas in the garden. That living room gallery wall is fabulous.
What a great couple that are so in-tune to each other and they are really great at explaining their style and can really feel their passion for restoring these old homes. Loved this tour as it was a home with much much much more character and charm than the normal home tours. We need more of these type of home tours!
I thoroughly enjoyed your company and "togetherness" You certainly do compliment each other well. I think it's a rare gift sometimes when one person respects the other's gifts and strengths. You've both shown the results of what makes a home simmer with love and light.❤ thanks for sharing.
What a delightful tour of this old, historic home which tells a story... Love the commentary and story telling. Home is where the heart ❤️ is and this couple has done a really great job of showcasing their pride and joy! There's a handful of episodes I enjoy watching and this is definitely an addition to that list! 🥰
I love this couple, truly in love soulmates. And what they’ve done with their historic home is so charming, beautiful & thoughtfully decorated. Love everything about it.♥️
Your pride in your dream home is obvious. It is charming! As a former history teacher, I share your passion for historic properties. The exterior setting is gorgeous. I enjoyed your tour very much. Hope you have many years to enjoy your home.
What a beautiful home. So cozy and comfortable with incredible history. The house is so lucky to have found the two of you as the new caretakers. Thank you so much for sharing.
Lovely home. I Met my former husband on the cape. So much history…I was known as a ‘’wash a shore”! Mother in law lived in Chatham and I learned to love antiques from her and this historic this area…thank you for bringing back happy memories…enjoy!
Loved this episode Stephanie & Chase are some of the most talented people I have every met. They are true visionaries and two of the kindest people I've met who I'm so glad I get to call friends. I love how this episode gives a peak into their world and the beauty they create and share with so many people!
@@omadjourneyyes. I have a friend who does cheer at his university. The guys typically help with stunting. If they aren't straight, it's obvious and they do what the girls do. If it earns a scholarship, I say go for it. I have another friend whose daughter plays soccer. She's so good, she was the field goal kicker (football 7A) her senior year- she's straight and quite feminine
I have mixed emotions about this video and the beautiful home it showcases. There’s a dearth of needed homes in this size range for families to purchase and to learn halfway through the video that this home was bought for the purpose of a business instead of a local family being able to purchase it, was deflating at best. I’m sure the home has tripled in cost over those 3 years since purchased further complicating the ability of locals to buy a home there. There’s no doubt they’ve created a beautiful and cozy house, but it leaves me with a sense of sadness knowing the locals are priced out because of so many out of town people buying second homes+ in areas like this over the last 3 years. It’s not endemic to Cape Cod since other tourist destinations like this around the country are also suffering this. Was just disappointed to learn this halfway through the video.
I agree that this episode was fantastic - because this couple is charming, cohesive, aligned, engaging, entertaining, & extremely well matched!! They were as equally enjoyable as was viewing their beautifully decorated home!! It looks like a nice stylish family home that is absolutely lived in & loved by its family & all their guest! They did a fabulous job!! Thank you to them & to Home Worthy!
This is a great episode and you guys are so cute together. I love your home, your decorating, your ideas, and especially your energy in working TOGETHER! Thank you for sharing a part of your world with us.
I love antique, very old quirky homes! They did a great job in keeping the wonderful character of the house..with all the quirks, which makes it special. What a beautiful area with the ponds and historical homes. I'm so glad that walls weren't torn down for "open concept", which too many people do to old homes....and they had respect for the integrity of the age of the house. The decor is perfect, too. The little antique desk in the nook fits perfectly in the living room. It's very charming. I love it.
I loved this.... and you two made me look around and fall in love with my place again! A 1951 brick warehouse building built into a hill. It has been such a challenge....and a joy. May many more happy homes come to you! Thank you for sharing your lovely concept of home with others.
As soon as you said you weren't allowed to date I thought Utah. I live in AZ. If you know, you know. Wink wink. Love the house. My first house was a Cape Cod in the Town Poughkeepsie NY. I miss the East badly after 31 yrs away.
What a wonderful couple and beautifully inspiring home! I love the intention of giving others a charming place to vacation and be and the deep appreciation for history and tradition.
I love this! I was born in Massachusetts and we moved to the Midwest but always went back every summer to the Cape. My parents live there now. My dream is to move there but I don’t know if that will ever happen. I’m so glad this couple took the opportunity and made their move.
I really enjoy watching Homeworthy videos especially the videos about small apartments. Love them!! On the other hand, the talking or explaining of every little thing, not much.
Finally! A wonderful couple who love the oldness of a place and have kept it true to its original plan. I love the cracks in the paint on the staircase, the worn black and white tiles, and the Federal mirror...so much loveliness to this home! It makes me want to go and read Nightbirds on Nantucket again! ❤ But, after visiting their design website, I am confused as to why this video presents them as having found their dream home, but yet it is listed on Air BNB for $400+ a night. I am not sure how that would work with living in the house. So, it seems to me like they are buying content real estate to renovate and rent out. They use so many words to describe what essentially is their business and income: acquiring content spaces for rental purposes under the niche of specifically crafted historic buildings.
I have followed Stephenie and Chase on IG so I was so excited to see this tour. Not only is the home quintessential Cape Cod and beautifully decorated, but I love S & C's enery, design approach, love for home and family. ❤ I hope we'll see Dove Hollow in the future. 😉
My favorite thing is the way they hung the picture under the horseshoe crab.....off center and over lapping the brick. When you step back and look at the display as a whole it reads like an abstract painting. Very eye catching🙂
Love the home and couple. However, recent videos are focused more on interviewing the homeowner instead of just having them chat while showing the home. Makes for a very long video that I found myself skipping through.
It sounds like they stay there in the winter & summer then they stay at other homes during other parts of the year. Their home is beautiful with so many personal touches and lots of care. They and their home seem very authentic to me. Granted they don’t have 10 trees that are 20 feet tall with Santa’s & elves strewn around but their Christmas decor seems fitting to the size and history of their home. In my OPINION. Seems like the vast majority of people agree. Or maybe those that don’t agree just decided it was a matter of taste and they didn’t need to share, they just kept the thought to themselves.
These people aren't even from MA. Ugh. Cape cod is not off the coast of Massachusetts. Totally inauthentic. These folks are the reason why rents in Massachusetts have skyrocketed.
Okay, this is my favorite Homeworthy tour, because I fell in love with this adorable couple! I love their philosophy on what makes a home and especially on decorating with what makes YOU happy. I don't decorate on trends, just with what I have collected over the years, that I love. I live in Connecticut and would love to see their home here also! ❤

I appreciate their energy and enthusiasm and the care they put into this lovely home but this episode really needed to be better edited. Agree with others that this felt too much like a sales presentation/advertisement for them (so so much about them) and their business. Seemed heavy on the shelter magazine verbiage and overused platitudes so I couldn’t get through the whole thing.
That’s what homeworthy is about though! People and their stories. This is their business and part of their story? What happened to people supporting each others businesses? Everyone is so bent out of shape that that they are showing us their boutique stay/ part time home but why can’t we just be happy for people now a days instead criticizing them? Homeworthy obviously had them on here for a reason and directed them to share the things they shared!

I feel like this was a 40 minute ad to stay at their Airbnb and support their other homes as well. Cute for sure-- but basic. I think the format is better when one person hosts their home but that's just me.
What happened to people supporting other people’s businesses? Who cares if it’s a rental/part time home. We all deserve success and being able to share whatever business we are in.

I feel like this was a 40 minute ad to stay at their Airbnb and support their other homes as well. Cute for sure-- but basic. I think the format is better when one person hosts their home but that's just me.
I agree, two people talking over each other is very distracting, I fast forwarded most of it.
What happened to people supporting other people’s businesses? Who cares if it’s a rental/part time home. We all deserve success and being able to share whatever business we are in.
