Dearest Julie, I’m really enjoying this video ❤ The man showing you the beautiful Abbey and Antique car’s sounds EXACTLY LIKE your Husband, Luke, when he speaks. It’s amazing 💕🙏🙏. The inside of the church you show at the end of this video is exactly what our Church looked like, before it burned down, in 2004. It was the gothic look just like this. Pillar’s, arches, alter and Italian, REAL STAINED GLASS imported windows all the same. We are German Lutherans, Missouri Synod in Sycamore, Illinois. I know you know right where Sycamore is. It’s probably 30 miles away from where you lived in Illinois, USA ❤❤ When I saw the pictures of that Church, I had tear’s coming with so many memories. 💕🙏🙏
That wallpaper could be copied I am following the Awakening of Purnon chateau , they had copies made of wallpapers that they found within purnon, the are called the “ Purnon Papers”

Montagu Norman, Governor of the Bank of England 1920 to 1944, was a great-grandson of John Montagu, 4th Earl of Sandwich through his daughter, Priscilla Cecilia.
On our first trip to England we visited Beaulieu. My husband visited the car museum and I the house. While in an original part of the abbey, I smelled incense. I check all the bowls of potpourri. It was none of those. I was in that area all by myself and was one of the last visitors of the day. There was a small sign I noticed as I was leaving the room that mentioned that occasionally some people do smell incense in that room, which led to the chapel, I believe, when it was an abbey. I also mentioned it to the ladies hosting the entrance. The acknowledged that what I smelled was accurate. Just an interesting side note. Unfortunately, I don’t remember much more about the house.
I've preferred pale pastels( 3-4 shades darker than white) for rooms. They have a more peaceful effect on folks.

This is really just a fascinating look on an incredible house. I must say "chained libraries" we also have them here. They are rare but we have them, also the first European colony in the United States started in 1598 when the Spanish founded the New Mexican colony in fact they owned the majority of what we consider the United States into Alaska. So the U.S. goes back MUCH further than the initial British colony in the U.S.. There is a VERY rich heritage in the United States as well. 😉

The Manjushri Institute in Ulverston (Also on youtube) was built on the site of a medieval Augustinian priory known as a hospital. You can see the stone ruins in the woods on the path to the beach. Stolen by King Henry the 8th. Sob!

No but seriously have root around at the previous Montagus the present Duke aprended for a 'homosexual' offence but survived and the Montugue Douglas Scotts 'Bosie' Oscar Wilde's paramour. Outed by the Marquess of Queensbury.And loads of Douglas Scot Montagues in the Scottish borders from the Dukes of Buccleuch - one time richest landowners in Europe now reduced to three or four castles. It is just an interest how these families all connect oh and the Duchess of Buccleuch daughter? of the Marquess of Lothian! Currently they use the surname Scott.

Texas pronunciations of location are much different too. Buchanan is pronounced Buckanon !
Brit here! 🇬🇧It’s because American pronunciations generally approximate Modern French pronunciations, whereas British pronunciations derive from the pronunciations that were in use in Middle French at the time the words were borrowed. So the regional dialect of Hampshire, UK at the time it was named Beaulieu,is still used today - so it’s not ‘ridiculous’ it’s actually historically accurate.
