For beginners like me, I would have liked to see you lay out the blocks to show how to sew them together. I could not find a pattern, but maybe it only comes with the templates. This would be a fun quilt to make.
I have always loved the fabrics Lori Holts uses and these rulers are now on my wish list must have. Thanks for this great video. Lori does have a wonderful studio.
It would be cool to offset the inner circle, for a different look. I love polka dots and have been wanting to make a quilt with circles, love your ideas Lori!
Love the cute material. I have a circle sewing attachment for my machine, so I would start out using that, but I can see how these templates would help someone who doesn't have that attachment.
The others were fine, it was just that one, apparently. I'm sure it's hard to do all that, not to mention expensive and time consuming. I'm very grateful for these videos!
It' s NOT fusible interfacing... Lori explains at the beginning of the video that she's using "sew-in" interfacing. Garment sewists are very familiar with this.
No she didn't ... it's been around for decades. But I'd advise trimming out the extra layers of fabric from the back of the quilt ... otherwise it will be way too bulky for even quilting, with all of these extra layers of fabric where the applique is sewn.
Laughed at how lori likes her gingher scissor to be sharp! It remained me about the time I found my gingher scissors in the garage because my husband was using them to cut screens for the windows! I still think I would've gotten away with murdering him if I had a jury of all quilters!
Please increase the volume on your videos. I have my computer as loud as it will go and must be within 6" to even hear the voices. That does not mean I can understand the words.
This is THE best way of doing applique I've ever seen.
I never get tired of watching these. Lori and Kim remind me of products to use to perfect my quilting, machine or hand. Thanks to both of you!
😊 This is so fun. Thank you, Lori, for demonstrating and explaining so well. Thank you for sharing this with us. Huggles Always 💖🤗🍀🙏🤟🦓 Liz

Ok Kimberly...applique too, it opens up a whole new world in quilting ❤️❤️
Lori, your designs make my heart sing....:)

Lori Holt's designs are so cool! I love them!
So sorry, TaosSpinner! We will try our best to improve the audio in our future videos!
It is a very nice little quilt

I couldn't hear it but I love your work
Stephanie - These rulers are so easy to use! Thank you for watching.

I liked the video, I haven't really taken the time to see many but this really is great to learn by. Love your rulers and that quilt is fabulous!
Love this quilt, quick and easy method for circling. I love it! Thank you
enjoyed your tutorial Lorie, the most informative yet. You've inspired me no end, can't wait to get started. thank you.
Got the kit in the mail and cant wait to get going on my quilt!
A lovely quilt, thank you. It would have been nice, though, if Lory had demonstrated sewing a couple of rows together.
Do you use batting in your quilts
Adding these to my wishlist.
I really love your quilts. Very beautiful
I love all of Lori's rulers!!
this is really a cute quilt. great instructions

I'd love to know which circle ruler (or perhaps there's more than one size) would be used with the 5" thimble ruler for the quilt you're demostrating
Sou brasileira! Achei muito bonito o seu trabalho! Obrigada!
I am so curious what kind of ironing board cover do you have that the Interfacing does NOT stick to when being press flat?
It' s NOT fusible interfacing... Lori explains at the beginning of the video that she's using "sew-in" interfacing. Garment sewists are very familiar with this.
You can use Heat N Bond....Its easier!
Great idea!
Love this idea. I sew 😜 want to try it.
Sew fun! Thank you for sharing!❤️
Lovely idea for making everything easy!
Nalini Kasat ,
Which Bernina are you using, Lori?
I ordered the Circle Ruler set and the pattern was not included. Is there a way to get it?
Hi Tina! Unfortunately, the rulers no longer come with the pattern, as this was something that was only included in 2013. Apologies for the confusion!
Watch video...and make some notes...easy peasy
where did you get the circle from been looking for this type of thing for a long time. help me please.

Thanks

What is the name of this quilt, is it in a book or sold separately?
Hello Vicki! The Lots of Dots pattern comes with the Circle Ruler Set: www.fatquartershop.com/circle-ruler-set-sizes-2-in-4-in-6-in-and-9-in-rulers
Hello how to sew the quilt pl explain loudly.
If you draw your lines on your Pellon instead of your fabric, it is easier to see.
What is the quilt size
Hello Vicki! The finished quilt size is 60” x 60”
what kind of infacing are you using
+Stephanie Johnson We are using Pellon Sew in Interfacing: www.fatquartershop.com/pellon-sew-in-15-x-3-yd-interfacing
I believe Eleanor Burns invented this style of applique.
No she didn't ... it's been around for decades. But I'd advise trimming out the extra layers of fabric from the back of the quilt ... otherwise it will be way too bulky for even quilting, with all of these extra layers of fabric where the applique is sewn.
Thanks for the hints, but I found the audio portion to be very bad & hard to follow.
Bij Ward same here.
Well just keep in mind this video was made/posted in April 2013. Of course Kimberly's skills and technology have vastly improved since then!
I love the tuts but found the sound to be a bit of a problem

Nice technique. The sound on the video is not consistent.
no sound

Hard to hear... Very pretty.
sorry I misspelt your name Lori, I get carried away when Typing.
no sound, it's a pity!

Really hard to hear all of what Lori is saying, even with all volumes turned up.
Helpful video, but I couldn't hear Lori. Either she needs to speak louder or her microphone isn't working properly.
Say, What? I can't hear Lori at all!
I wish you would redo this video. Lori was too quiet and didn't give very helpful step by step instructions.
Lori's voice comes and goes and is mumbly at times.
Cut your turning slit before you sew

Cute quilt and interesting process. It was very difficult to hear, so I tried closed captioning...the worst I've ever seen! Good for a laugh, though.
I didn't learn anything about this ruler, Couldn't hear her.
