Finally some really well made piece from prop shot. Must be honest. The other ones are kinda unfinished, like my english... But this revolver came out pretty nicelly.
It's because this one, unlike the other guys on the show, is a professionnal ^^ He has like 20 or so years in costume making, probably even more! just check his youtube channel
I will, thanks for the tip. Me myself, not a pro, but I make better stuff then the other guys and have like 4 years in cosmaking. I just don't understand why make videos about things that look awfully unfinished.
Uhhh.... this one looks just as 'unfinished' as others. I am sure these are fast builds no matter who is doing them but this is not higher quality compared to Odin and Vinny. There are flaws within the revolver just like any other props that are made here.
go to Ted's main Channel and he will blow you away with the work he does with the proper tools, better quality materials and a longer run time. You can also check out Bill Doran's channel at Punished Props to fill in some knowledge gaps.
I'm pretty happy with DAP Weldwood, it's like 6 bucks for a 13 oz can of it, put it in a restraunt style ketchup or mustard bottle and it is super controllable. I picked up two bottles for a buck fifty. A little cheaper than the 35 buck glue pot, then I can spread it with a scrap piece of foam or my finger, so no strings of glue, hardy any mess, and you don't have to worry about your glue drying.
Yeah Ted is the best host around, as his not doing half ass job like most of the previous hosts. Odin is good one too, but then there was some who just trow something together and called that turd what ever it supposed to be. Like Ted said, the art is in the details and those should never be forgotten.
One of the better examples of what good material choices, good research, some skill/knowledge/time will get you. I can't say I'm a fan of the paint (I despise plasti-dip) but it's a really great build.
Video is of decent quality but the content is not that great and the project is kind of "bleh". Its just a carved foam scuplture. The really bad part is anywhere some actualy tecnique was being applied and a good narration to explain it would have been awesome, there was just a little pop up caption about it. How does heat accentuate detail cuts? Or using a wood burner to get fine detail. No instead he explains a glue pot.
I go on a crazy spree and watch all the videos on this channel and then I kinda forget about it. Then, one day, one of their videos is recommended to me and I go on yet another spree. Keeps happening.
As an architect student I whish that this channel had a website where we could actually see the whole proces where they paint, melt, design, measure and all the other stuff.
you what's really awesome is that this channel reminded me of the Mythbusters! I as well enjoy that they do everything and anything that's can be created into a prop from video games to 2D cartoons I really enjoy this channel !🐯
I think you guys should do a prop segment for Mei's blaster, back tank, and snowball(her robot). I think if you guys figure out a easy way for her gun to be there while connected to the tank while having the tank hold a snowball that can go in and out of it... would be great. And very cool! Especially with lights for the iced liquid effect.
I was gonna suggest. since you cut the trigger out you should have made it thinner since a real trigger isn't going to be as thick as the entire gun. but I understand there's a limit to the rigidness of foam.
Not bad, really but I've got a question... Why it always has to be a foam? DIY is not only foam, glue knife and heatgun. Cos of this the series looks like it's aimed to primary school kids who are afraid to use tools... 😒
I'm not talking about fancy stuff but everybody has a driller, saw, wood/metal pieces etc... it's not so difficult to use it for a god sake. NOT EVERYONE has to have an access to hotglue gun or heatgun either. It's just a matter of "are you motivated to do something more or not"...
Evil Ted specializes in foam armor and props. He could probably do the other stuff but this is where he shines. He's a master of foam so we're going to see him work in foam.
Most of the time, the people who make these props at home are using them for conventions or short films. When that's the case, metal and wood props are usually more dangerous to use around other people, whereas foam is harmless. If someone gets smacked in the head with a wooden gun, it's going to hurt. But no one's gonna get hurt by a foam gun.
not a bad video, dont listen to the haters. good work on the simple build. the only negative thing I want to say is, Ted, that's not a miter saw, that is a jigsaw...
Good work! Please consider make Dante's scythe. Also please consider make the Lancer "Gears of War" or more GOW weapons like the Hammerburst, Lancer Retro or Boomshot Grenade Launcher.
Im attempting to make the v-47 flatline from the new game titanfall 2, im debating whether to use eva foam or insulation foam for the build. eva foam is clearly more malleable but how do you make it rigid, or is it just because this is a pistol it isnt noticeable ? would really appreciate an answer on what sort of foam to use for the major parts.
What I love about Ted: He's not like 'Well, in this tutorial, we will use our laser cutter, CNC and 3D printer...'
Right? I'm done with seeing those tutorials all over the Internet. Ted's my go to with basically everything.
I am a McCree main and you dont know how much i want that gun right now!

Jesse Mccree IT'S HIGH NOON!!! somewhere in the world.
You know it's going to be great when Evil Ted shows up on screen
I love this episode because it can be used as a guide to make any prop revolver out of foam not just McCree's
Finally some really well made piece from prop shot. Must be honest. The other ones are kinda unfinished, like my english... But this revolver came out pretty nicelly.

N 'So The only thing that was kinda bad on it was the painting. Can't say the same for the others. But I agree, not top quality.

I will scream ffs, cuz i ask about genji's blade for months
evil ted and punished props helped me to start foamsmithing and now I do larp weapons and armor!
I like this guy
he's a very cool guy, he gave me some helpful tips when i was making the hand cannon from Killing Floor 2

Hellsong89 also he caters to everybody like those who have the proper tools and those who do not have them.
Always great job Ted for adjusting your work method to the more inexperienced or restricted builders.

Jet Bastos
Police astonished that a drunk man can read*

I find that a blue undercoat works nice for grey metallics as well as black, while brown does the same for gold and bronze.
no need to add weathering mcrees gun is so shiny it might as well blind the enemy instead of a flash bang
Excellent craftsmanship!!! Great video, MORE PLEASE! MORE!!!!!
go back to your own channel.....
_report this mildly offensive comment for hero points_
why do you have a problem this video is amazing
If you had videos, you'd be about to catch this mass flag boi :D
They don't hate it, they are making fun of the new TH-cam system that rewards people for indiscriminate mass flagging/reporting
I'm pretty sure when he responded he didn't edit in the second part
Video is of decent quality but the content is not that great and the project is kind of "bleh". Its just a carved foam scuplture. Genji's Nomad sword is hands down the best or at the very least one of the best overwatch weapons
Whoa, something that ISN'T Man At Arms that I want to watch??
Foam props usually aren't my thing but this one turned out beautiful!
genjis ultimate sword
Genshin*
Definetly Genji's katana
genji katana
Crazy detailing and awesome craftsmanship!
I wish I could actually build weapons like this
Hey Ted :) good to see you back. EVA-foam is the (no, i will not say it) thing
Man at Arms should do Genji's sword
About time they bring back Evil Ted... AWE me, your learning
genji's sworddddd
Evil ted is the only diy prop shop person I like have him on more!!
I would have preferred it to be in man at arms
Doubt that's possible. Unless you want it to just be a club, because I doubt they're allowed to build a working firearm.
i didnt know a gun was a sword..
zooboo
U should watch RWBY
every wapon is also a gun
its almost impossible for them to make a gun with their tools what do you mean
could you do dva's mech from overwatch?
I think you guys should do a prop segment for Mei's blaster, back tank, and snowball(her robot).
I go on a crazy spree and watch all the videos on this channel and then I kinda forget about it. Then, one day, one of their videos is recommended to me and I go on yet another spree.

Do genji's sword please
you what's really awesome is that this channel reminded me of the Mythbusters! I as well enjoy that they do everything and anything that's can be created into a prop from video games to 2D cartoons I really enjoy this channel !🐯
Archfiend's claw from Ninja Gaiden 2
Sometimes I feel like I was the only one that ever played that game
Although Ninja Gaiden black and 2 were REAL gems, everybody criticizes it in base of the lame NG3
thousands crys for genji katana, builds mcrees pistol
Roadhog's hook please?
I think you guys should do a prop segment for Mei's blaster, back tank, and snowball(her robot). Aluricc WOAH I DIDNT KNOW THAT
This was 2 whole ass years ago and it only got 26 likes. That's tuff
Not everybody has access to nice tools like band saws and belt sanders. This is just to show you can make props and such without them.

I was skeptical, but that was actually pretty cool. nice job
Fantastic build I will certainly be building one like it.
Nice to see Ted on Awe Me.
I'm actually using your technique to build my own reaper's shotgun right now!
This was extremely entertaining to me! This was awesome!😁👍🏻
Wow there! Now that's a great looking prop.
not a bad video, dont listen to the haters. good work on the simple build. the only negative thing I want to say is, Ted, that's not a miter saw, that is a jigsaw...
TED! You're a part of Prop Shop?! Awesome!!!
Thank you so much for this i needed this for my mccree cosplay
Awesome build gonna try it out myself
This is awesome! I'm totally gonna try to do this
EVIL TED!!! Redo the firefly pistol! Do it justice!
Hell yea! Evil Ted again! Please tell me this is gonna be a regular thing
is it just me or is this guy significantly better than the previous prop people they have had?
I've always used dap weldwood cement and noticed it came apart if I used a heat gun on the foam. Is that a problem with barge?
i was curious what color was used for the chamber. if you could please help me out! Thanks.
Excellent work on this one.
How about staying in the Overwatch vein and doing Tracer's pistols next?
Jhin's mask from League of Legends would be FRIGGIN AWESOME!
This guy is a legend!
Good work!
Please consider make Dante's scythe.
Also please consider make the Lancer "Gears of War" or more GOW weapons like the Hammerburst, Lancer Retro or Boomshot Grenade Launcher.
Evil Ted is like the GOD OF PROPS!
Hi! This is a really useful tutorial, however I don't know where to get the EVA foam, could you please let us know? :)
Hello ! I have one question ! Where you find you foam please ? It's verry urgent from my copslay ! :D Thanks for you reponse
What speed do you dremel EVA at? I always end up eating it up with the dremel.
fun fact about the heat gun as hair dryer: some salon type hairdryers will get hotter than a low-end heat gun!
