I’m glad you bring up Cyllene’s potential because I believe that card is going to be a superstar in the next format. Being able to play your Ace Spec multiple times, maybe many times per game alongside the versatility of grabbing other key cards and preventing deckout with Pal Pad all at once is absurd

I'm a Goodra main that started on Chien-Pao when I got into the game the day PAR came out. So I'm excited that the rotation looks neutral-to-positive for each of them. But also Meowscarada looks exciting, potentially paired with single prize Torterra and Dark Sableye!
If the Scyther line is somethign people are considering, it may also be worthwhile to include 1 Kleavor from SIT. the Rout attack for 2 colorless energy can be powered up by the Metang as that will likely be a card in that deck archetype, and the card will critcally hit for lightning weakness as a guaranteed single prize response to Miraidon decks.
Of course, we do not know what decks will become part of the core meta, so we don't know if Miraidon will be still popular, or if a Scyther box deck will be playable, but if you want to test that archetype, then it's worth picking up the Kleavor.

So vs a electric deck, its an easy 160, count for weakness, its gone, well done buddy. You have just made me dig up my janks and now im building one. Just need to wait for the metang when its released.
Personally I feel venomoth might just be the better option than banette for item lock t1 as it also confuses, hits a better weakness and only gives up single prizes

while i think the ex alternate art has been much weaker than the art given to v's, im glad the art for standard cards has been infinitely better with the release of ancient and future mons!
Flutter Mane is going to be great for Gardevoir.
Flutter mane could disrupt lost box iron valiant as these need switch to use ability

All of the currently released cards, going off tcg player market price, would cost $491.79, my hands hurt now
You forgot to mention that since banette and the new bronzong are both psychic you can run them together. I really believe a item / evolution lock deck can be a rogue / meta contender post rotation. If you get the turn 1 lock of most decks in the format lose to evolution lock and the ones that dont lose to evolution lock lose to item lock.
Also, I feel like a single prize past box deck will be like tier 2 as well. With type coverage in moon / koraidon you can dunk on decks like gardy and miraidon and hit other decks for very big damage. A easy turn 1 150-180 damage with koraidon is really good especially considering all the pressure and 1 hit kills you can put on later with roaring moon
Yeah Bronzong might be relevant to cover evolving non candy decks like gardi and gholdengo, suppose my focus was on item lock combing nicely with status condition buffs!
I really like the look of 1 prize moon men, archetype is right up my street!
i would suggest 4 copies of Arezu for evolution decks, esp ones that have a ton of non-rulebox evolution Pokemon such as Tinkaton / Dudunsparce.
Possibly one for the future I can’t see myself adding Arezu into any of the archetypes I outlined in the video :P

Grass type has always been my favorite so I'm hoping (and coping!) that Meowscarada ex gets a new lease on life. And that new Torterra ex, please be good!
P.S: Is there a chance that rotation brings Toedscruel ex into the spotlight? Thoughts on that?

Do you think Goodra VSTAR will be any good post rotation? Goodra is my favourite Pokemon and ArcGoodra was my favourite deck for a long time but it fell off so hard when ScarVio released. I wasn't a fan of the Lost Zone variant of Goodra because of how heavily you relied on VIP Pass to play the game but buddy poffin seems like it might make it a little more bearable due to not having 4 dead cards in your deck after turn 1.
It looks like it has a really good shot of being relevant, lost engine doesn’t lose much: happy to see path go to always have the vstar option open and most energy really helps the moon and Tina matchups!

I‘m just getting started with this game. Are these staples that get reprinted regularly, so you can keep/play them in almost any format/rotation? 😅
@@Slaymog these are staples for the current standard format but any card with an F regulation in the bottom corner is expected to rotate early next year!
There’s only a handful of eternal cards like ‘switch’ in the pokemon tcg
@@OmniPoke oh, that’s good to know, thank you 😊 Do you have a video or list about these eternal staples? I was thinking about getting them in higher rarities/alt art. Coming from YuGiOh, it’s amazing how cheap the Pokémon TCG is. But I’m still a little bit confused about all the different types of product, set rotation, and deck building, so I wanted to get a baseline with staples and the upcoming charizard battle league deck first 😅

Hiya Adam, its true Belt doesn't rotate but it wasn't included because of the archetypes i expect to perfrom well next format, Tina is the only one focussing on V pokemon! making it hard to justify purchasing or playing going forward
