Love watching you.It brings back so many memories. When i was a little girl we live next door to a wonderful Jewish family and I remember the meat pies and Matzah Ball soup.Good memories. We loved that family .I am 75 years old now.We had the Jewish family on one side and Italians on the other side.Wonderful memories.
Your videos are wonderful! While I am not Jewish, I love the culture and cooking and feel sad that I didn't grow up in such a supportive community. Thank you for being so kind to share your prep with all of us :)
You and I are so much alike, except you’re a devout Jew and I’m a devout Christian. But you love your family enough to spend time making beautiful Shabbat meals, and I try to cook beautiful Sunday meals for my family. You work hard to keep your home immaculate, and so do I. There’s more that is similar than different. I’m so glad I found your channel. By the way, your bread is beautiful!
I love your channel because you document what an incredible amount of skill and planning goes into domestic tasks. This work ( let's face it) is undervalued. What struck me was in your other video how you mentioned that you do your lists during YOUR lunch hour at work. You don't even get that hour to rest. You are doing a great service showing the world what it takes to run a household.
I grew up in NY, the Bronx to be exact...I was bused to a jr high school in a Jewish neighborhood ...I took a home economics class and the first thing they taught us to make was mazta ball soup... I've been hooked on it ever since...I make it when I'm under the weather and my grandchildren love it...everything looks so yummy Sonya...I look forward to your videos ❤
You should try adding a few drops of hot sauce and some fresh squeezed lemon juice to your matzo ball soup. I got this “trick” from a Hispanic waiter in a Greek diner. I do like to make my own matzoh ball soup at home. I generally use the Streitz mix, and I use plain club soda, which makes the balls a bit more fluffy. I like my matzoh balls on the small size, so I use a small ice cream/cookie scoop, which works fine. I think I see some matzoh ball soup in my kitchen this weekend…..
As amazing as your Shabbat prep was- I was delighted that you got to spend one on one time with your son. He must have been so proud of his contribution. You are an amazing mother and role model!
I’m only a part of the way in, and I must comment on your son whipping that dough around like a pro already! Lol. What a gift to him, and what a gift he will be to some blessed woman one day! Good job, momma! Love your videos and blessings on you and your family. ❤️
When I was young and i learned how to make chicken soup from my grandmother after she boiled the chicken and seasoning she took it out of the pot and put the pot in the refrigerator for a few hours all the grease would rise to the top and then she would skim it out I always remember those little things when i make my soup😊
I love your organization and the way you do things in general. I am cooking 4 the past 47 years and consider myself a good cook. But I learned a lot from you. Live and learn as they say.
Best Shabbat prep video ever! You are the best Sonya, one of a kind. I hope that you have the greatest day and the greatest rest of the week possible! 🥰
I feel like Shabbat is the ultimate meal prep. I have honestly learned so much from you! From organization to new recipes, to somehow always understanding 7 people talking to you at once, hahaha. Great video :)
Another awesome video! Everything looks beautiful and delicious Sonya. It must be such a treat to prep for Shabbat when you're not working, and to have that special time with your son. Thanks so much.
Sonya I went to a bbq this past week and I have to say I spent a lot of time talking about you; how you manage your day to day life such a busy mommy who is hands on with your beautiful children and yet you manage to make delicious meals everyday I told them you have to watch her u tube and I’m sure they will. Love from my home to yours !0
My kids always have sat on the counter to help. I actually found it super helpful because they weren't all over the place touching things they weren't supposed to touch. They could wash hands once and then be on the counter helping and it was SO much easier for me. They seemed to focus better, too, and they weren't in the way of drawers wherever they were standing on stools or chairs. Anyway, that's my two cents. Counter kid prep for the win!
Wonderful bread making film. I bet that was the best bread anywhere around. You know how to put different food together to make a beautiful dinner. Great Job.
I made sure I ate a little something so I can watch this video, you can't come hungry that's for sure. I miss cooking big meal's for my family and my non Jewish friends, it was so much fun.
Your son was so proud of his bread. Could you make another video on your weeknight prep. I love how you stagger your cooking so that there is fresh food every night . It’s really been helpful to me to plan things this way .
I loved how you prep and clean as you go system, you're amazing in your organization. I also noticed how your prep all the bowls and dishes to use. I certainly learn a lot from you 😄
I loved watching you and your son making the challah. You've also given me such wonderful tips for cleaning and organizing my home as a working woman. You're a blessing.😊❤🙏
@@SonyasPrep I admire your devotion to your husband, children and your religion. We are chatolics, we honour you as our elder brothers in faith. For me is so colourful to watch your tradition and all you do to please God. You do it with so much love and devotion. Keep up good work!❤️
Hi Sonya! Another delicious Shabbat prep! Your helper is better at prepping the dough for shaping better than I am. So nice to have. Mommy son time. I must say, I get so hungry watching all of your cooking/baking/Shabbat prep videos. Thank you for posting.
Another wonderful video. I know that you are a very busy mom and wife. Have you ever considered filming a set of cooking classes? I know I would be happy to pay to learn from such an amazing cook. Blessings to you and your family.
How nice if you could be OFF every Friday 😊. Would you ever consider doing a video on how much you spend on your groceries or what a Shabbat meal usually cost you? Great yummy food as always. Shabbat Shalom from Texas.
I love watching you making all that lovely food, but I can't help wondering how you manage to work full time, raise 5 kids, run a house and still find time for all this prep!!!
Great Prep Sonya, love your version of Eggrolls, growing up in Hawaii there is always some type of different eggrolls as it's mostly Asians/Pacific Islanders and each brought their version, so good!
You are my inspiration!! you do everything with no fuss and everything looks delish!!! as a frum working mom I am always waiting for your next video !! No pressure :)
I love your videos, Sonya = you make it look so easy, but I know it's not that easy! Ha Ha Ha Ha I make my own matzah balls - not the packaged stuff - and they turn out delicious!! You are simply AMAZING!!!!
Definitely try to make the "egg rolls" in the airfryer! Omg! It's so quick, no having to bust out a pan and oil. I just spray or brush some oil on the egg rolls/ wonton wrappers, and they come out even better.... (I promise!). Thank you for your wonderful videos... Makes my heart feel warm inside... God bless you and your wonderful family ❤️.
Hi Sonya! I just watched your Shabbat prep video and just loved it. Tomorrow I'm making chicken soup and am going to take your advice and add some dill to it. All your food looks so delicious. Shabbat Shalom to you all from North East England. xx

Hey Sonia. If you still have an air fryer, I recommend using it for making meat hand pies with puff pastry - super easy.
You inspired me to make it tonight, great idea. What kind of dough do you use to make them?
@@SonyasPrep any kind of puff pastry! It puffs up and crisps up beautifully!

What temperature setting do you use?
